@@HelloRoad yes. Time. The one thing in life that doesn't stop, and you can't make more of. You do great videos of these radwood shows. I might have to bring one of my fleet to one when one is near me. Probably my Z24 convertible, that thing loves highway miles. An awesome sunny day cruiser
If you love 80s and 90s cars, you'll LOVE Chicago! We still use them as beaters though. Lots of Ford Tauruses, Escorts, Chevy Luminas, Lincoln Town Cars, Plymouth Voyagers, and Chevy Astros for the 90s. For the 80s, its mostly Chevy Caprices, full-size Fords/Mercury, with the occasional Chevy Celebrity or Plymouth Reliant. Most have been in probably 3 or more accidents by the looks of them, but they still run, and that deserves some commendation, right? xD
I love, love, loveee that Camry!! My grandfather got one of the first 1983 Camry's off the boat way back when. He kept that car until 1998 when he wanted a new Accord. Absolutely loved that car, had lots of memories riding around with my grandparents in it. Also, music is again on point!! 👌
@@jovancurry1134 you're welcome!! I hope you can keep it minty fresh! I've been trying to find an '83-'84 quad light Camry for years but they don't exist anymore here on the east coast 😔
steverado87 yeah it’s a special car to me and I want to restore, and keep it fresh and like new! Also, I hope you can find a decent good condition 1st Gen Camry soon! They are definitely hard to find in good condition, especially because of rust.
My biological father and my grandfather both had 86 Nova's. Granddad had a silver five speed and dad had a red five speed, added on air, wire wheel covers, and an fm converter. I remember riding an hour in the gold with brown stripes Datsun 310 to look at new Nova's. We had a green b210 hatchback, a silver blue 1984 720 truck, a 1990 Colt dl awd wagon, and a 94 Roadmaster wagon, and a 1990 caravan, blue with Woodie panels also. Since I was an adult, 84 four door Cutlass in double green, 87 regal t in blue, another green b210, a 96 aerostar work van, and a 91 olds custom cruiser wagon. That's not counting what are considered classic cars and trucks now. The red Nova saw several road trips. A weird 80s car to research would be the Buick Riviera t type of the 80s.
I had an 1986 Chevy Nova CL Navy Blue like the one in your video. I loved that Nova. I also saw a Blue Suzuki Swift briefly. I had a 1994 Suzuki Swift GL Autozone red. I loved that car and traded that car to buy my 1982 Pontiac Trans Am Black on Black.. Like Knight Rider car. Which now I have had for 21 years.
Just found your channel yesterday. Love it. I myself love the 80s and 90s and collect as much rad stuff from that period. Just got me a 1989 Jaguar XJS that runs but starting to fix up and bring back its awesomeness.
I just discovered your channel yesterday and you sir are my hero. I love obscure cars from the 80’s and 90’s! I hope to someday own a late 80’s Pontiac Fiero GT.
That's my stock, aging paint Firebird next to the Dasher Diesel covered in bed-liner! That car was a star!!! I wasn't able to get mine on fleek and I'm glad it was just in the background... That's what I love about Radwood!
Even though I'm not old enough to of experienced them new, 80s and 90s cars will always be special to me. I love both my 96 Accord EX and my 87 Toyota Pickup 4x4. Looking forward to attending a Radwood show in the future!
And I thought I was the only one this into 80's and 90's cars. I have a 1993 Chrysler Lebaron LE sedan(same as the Plymouth Acclaim/Dodge Spirit) with only 68,000 original miles and I love it. She's an original Florida car, has never seen salt and is my Daily driver. I'm gonna rust proof her pretty soon. I'd love to attend Radwood but I live in Minnesota and sadly just cant afford to drive across the country to attend.
One of coolest videos, about one of the coolest events I didn't know existed. This video could have been 10 hours long. "The Underappreciated Car". You have my heart. 💜🙂
OMG a white 86 Chevy Nova CL 5-speed was my first car. Given to me with 278k miles and ran on 3cylinders. Drove it until about 292k then got a 93 Mazda Protege w/the BP miata motor. Awesome to see someone represent the Nova's..they are such a forgotten car but were excellent for their time.
I feel these car shows are more laid back than the car shows with 60’s and 70’s cars, I don’t see no old pricks in jean shorts and New Balance with long socks which paid tens of thousands of their retirement money on a restored Mustang or Chevelle. These are average Joes that take pride in what they have.
Didnt have a chance to meet the other Nova owner but wish I did after watching this! I did have a chance to talk with Ed and his amazing wagon, I want a Regal wagon now (perfect size)
That red Camaro has RS 25th anniversary rims, and Z28 badges. The wheel offset is different front and rear. So it may be a RS in Z28 disguise. I had one like that, with black stripes, no louvers, the standard spoiler, had fake Z28 badges on it. Bought it that way.
Im in Dayton Oh were 80's cars rusted out 8 years after being on the road . But there are 2 Novas i see regularly , 1 the lady bought brand new pale yellow w matching interior and is in great shape and a light blue ( faded ) on blue both rust free.
No offense, but the rebranding of cars for the American market gets to me... In Africa (and probably the rest of the world too) your Nova is a Toyota Carina. The Geo prism is a Corolla sprinter fastback, the white Nova is a Toyota sprinter Avant, the VW dasher (I think that's what you called it) is a Passat, my dad had one when I was a kid, notoriously unreliable in African climate, especially the diesel. The Honda SUVs are Isuzu bighorn/trooper. Great content, these are the kind of meets I need in my life! I've probably got a few in my backyard that would fit right in: 71 ford Capri, 91 Nissan sunny truck, 91 Toyota Soarer, 96 Toyota chaser, 96 Toyota mark ll, most in different states of disrepair, but I'm working on them. First time seeing one of your vids. I've just subbed, looking forward to more content like this!
I always thought about a car show with 80's & 90's cars only. I would take my 97 Accord EX Sedan 5 Speed Manual Transmission, original engine with 370,036km and basic bolt on's.
Honestly I wish you took the Grand Prix too lol. Can't blame you though with those brakes being the way they are. I'm a GM guy though so the Nova was still a great choice 😉😎
Is the stereo in the Nova hatchback made by Delco GM or Toyota? Does the stereo in the Nova hatchback have a cassette player if its original or not or CD Player if it's not original or does it have AM/FM only?

My thoughts exactly. I'm burned out on the muscle cars at typical shows. Good to see cars from my generation finally getting some love.
