This is absolutely amazing and I am truly enjoying this lecture series! I needed a refresher and this hit all the right feels. Thank you for taking the time to make these!
Nope, this is very basic virology. The thing is you need strong foundations in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Chemistry and even Thermodynamics to even try to understand viruses.
The first class provides the definition of a virus ( DNA or RNA + coat); from there, we see how basic cell mechanisms are usurped. So a course on Cell Biology is essential. Basics of Molecular Biology will help with the 2nd half of Virology, when the utility of viruses is explored.
Glad that you have not had any life experiences that cause you to regret - not getting vaccinated. But, others do have regrets, or did - during their final days, in an ICU.
Everyone knows someone wo died from covid 😅 There is no things like vaxxx injuries 😅 Don’t do your own research 😅 Everyday sudden and unexpected dead from climate change 😅 lets change the method calculating the new high excess deaths in uk 😅 and the list goes on and on...🎉🎉🎉

Still can't bring myself to love viruses, but will be foever intrigued -thanks to Vincent!
how subunit can be formed from several proteins? 1:16
These lectures are for those who have a pretty good understanding on basic virology. They are not from ground zero...

enjoying this on a Saturday night!
Great stuff Vincent! I haven't watched the video yet (too early) but this has been a great lecture series!
Babeș- Negri bodies are proteine , nucleic acid, or both ?
V Babeș in 1892 and A Negri in 1903 described specific inclusions bodies in nerve tissue cells.
40:46 if multiple particles enter a cell, on average you'd have all of the sequences in the proper number, even if random
All DNA viruses bud from nuclear membrane?
Perfect 👍
Anyone else here never get a covid jab or a test and is totally fine with zero regrets?
