Interesting bit of interesting trivia. Fireman's civilian identity was played by Naoya Makoto. Best known as Akaranger who was the first Sentai Red Ranger from Gorenger
well, I mean.... do you see huge lasting impressions from these shows in comparison to Ultraman? The answer is.... DEFINITELY NOT...... BUT, while researching clips for this video, I did become way more interested in these shows. Definitely good stuff!!
Let’s be honest, Tsubaraya struggled to create any lasting franchises beyond Ultraman. Probably because they just seemed a little too similar to Ultraman. The one that seemed to escape that fate is Gridman, by virtue of being adapted into an American show and having a well-received anime.
@@AdamYJ that and Gridman came out decades later during the “cyber boom”. The anime really blasted it back into existence. One of the few modern anime I actually wanted to keep watching. But now I’m pretty curious about these older franchises. It was fun watching a few parts of each episode for research. Will definitely be revisiting them!
@@TOKYOTOYBANZAI They might have some potential. What got me is how every other series seemed to be able to be summed up as “Special defense team+giant kaiju fighter”. They all sounded so much like Ultraman that it felt like they were ripping themselves off.
While I have nothing against them, I'm not a fan of the Legendary Monsterverse. I enjoyed most of Godzilla 2014 (not a fan of G's design though), and I loved Kong Skull Island. The rest just feels like Transformers or something. Not my style.
I meant "Izenbo" & "Jumborg Ace" 😅 I swear.
The editing on these past recent videos have been so well done- I very much enjoyed this one as well!
The ASMR when opening each capsule is 😩👌
