+mike ray I'm not too familiar with the Federal Commander Software package or the operation of rotating sirens hooked up to an UltraVoice, but here is my observation: Since the 612 is supported, documentation wise I know, when the officials program the voice messages, then they probably can only tell it to stop quarter way in rotation at x° and try to match up to a direction and then set a "sub routine" to then play messages from the digital voice chip, and then repeat that 3 other times. I doubt there are "options" for positions, considering when this Whelen head stops it is not in line perfectly with the gray rotator assembly box. In general though when a 3016 is hooked up it will behave just like it would originally since it is still hardwired with the original rotor device when power is sent to it. Don't quote me on that though...
How does Federal Signal Ultravoice know which direction to be pointing for N, E, S, W, NE, SE, SW, NW? Only Whelen Siren Controllers can tell the direction?
I've been wondering, if these sirens have the federal signal ultra voice controls then how do they get the sirens to turn and point in the four cardinal directions
MOStormChaser Yeah UltraVoice is from Federal right. I know the mechanical, but when it is whelen controls and model names I kinda blank out but I know a lot about the sirens just not as much as the controls
WhammyP-50 Yeah, same here. When they got rid of their old Whelen controls, they just slapped UltraVoices on them. My guess is they did that to have them match the Modulators they have.
+Fifthcell Because only Whelen controllers output the DTMF tones through the speakers. This whelen is using a Federsal Ultravoice controller witch does not output the DTMF through the speakers
Monroe County put Federal Signal Controllers on their old Whelens, and are replacing older sirens with Mods, because they didn't like Whelen's policies.
0:41 voice
2:23 siren goes on
5:23 siren shuts off completely
5:54 voice again

@@gio11138 oh shi-
3016: Git ur freaking hands in the air ur gettin shot
Us: Oh hell naw to naw naw yeah to the naw
This is the most cringe comment I’ve ever seen
That has some really nice voice intelligibility.
Ikr
was it a test of the Monroe county siren system I did not hear. if it was or not.

Whelen sirens are my fave
That voice is echo everywhere
**monroe county announcement intensifies**
Trips me out how a Whelen can have a Federal Signal UV controller, and sounds exactly like a dual-toned Modulator/EOWS 612
Why replace the controller the esc 864 is voice capable anyway
I've been wondering, if these sirens have the federal signal ultra voice controls then how do they get the sirens to turn and point in the four cardinal directions
When it did 0:17 I felt that.
It sounds like a Hawaiian Modulator. Right?
At least it's dual tone still
It’s a ultra voice whelen
Whelen sounding like an EOWS? Maybe Whelen likes breeding different sirens together!
+WhammyP-50 It's got an UltraVoice controller on it.

+MOStormChaser They did.
Also this model has no audible DTMF tones?
+Fifthcell Because only Whelen controllers output the DTMF tones through the speakers. This whelen is using a Federsal Ultravoice controller witch does not output the DTMF through the speakers
Hello
Good God, what a creepy way to warn!
if u listen closely, u can hear the controller doing alert
Well duh it is coming from the siren’s speakers
Rip headphone users 1:35
This siren is "Erie" all right. ~ba dum tsh~
What's up with All of the sirens there having that horrible windup?
How many time must it repeat
it needs to repeat it in all directions so everyone hears
Nice!
it's sounds like a eows 612

WhelEOWS
Whelen EOWS-3000 UV
Starts at 2:23
that sounds like the FS modulator and those drivers are going to die
Because its using a FS UV Controller.
This uses Federal Signal UV controls that would be normally used on a Modulator
it's looks like a blow dryer
Don't call me that
