New 2025 Volvo XC90 Facelift - Most Successful Hi-Tech SUV

The 2025 Volvo XC90 continues to be a compelling choice in the mid-size luxury crossover segment. With a refreshed design and updated interior set to debut in the first quarter, the XC90’s appeal is further strengthened, ensuring its longevity in the market.
The refreshed Volvo XC90 maintains the same SPA1 platform and offers a selection of powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid and two mild-hybrid four-wheel-drive options.
The latest XC90 represents the second facelift of Volvo's largest SUV. The current second-generation model debuted just over 10 years ago, in August 2014, and underwent its most recent major update in May 2019.
The 2025 XC90 retains the core design of the outgoing model but features subtle visual updates to align with Volvo's newer vehicles. The front grille is redesigned, complemented by slightly reworked LED headlights. The front bumper now includes vertically mounted air vents, with the lower intake extending further than before. At the rear, the changes are more modest; while the taillight shape remains the same, a new lighting pattern enhances its sharpness, giving it a fresher appearance.
The interior of the XC90 is a showcase of understated elegance, combining a stylish design with premium materials to create a welcoming atmosphere. The updated model brings enhanced materials, a redesigned dashboard, a refreshed center console, and new textile upholstery choices. Buyers can select from a 5-, 6-, or 7-seat configuration across all variants.
The early 2025 XC90 comes equipped with a 9.0-inch tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system, while the updated model features a larger 11.2-inch display. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is standard, and an optional head-up display is also available. The software interface is based on Google’s Android Automotive system, but Apple CarPlay is included as standard on both screens for iPhone users.
A ten-speaker stereo system with a 220-watt amplifier comes standard, but two premium audio options are available. These include a 600-watt, 14-speaker Harman/Kardon system and a high-end 1410-watt, 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins setup.
The refreshed Volvo XC90 retains the same powertrains as its predecessor but eliminates the diesel option. All variants feature all-wheel drive and are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The B5 powertrain includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 247 horsepower, while the B6 variant boosts output to 297 horsepower with the addition of a supercharger. Both options are mild-hybrids, complemented by a 48-volt electric motor.
The more powerful plug-in hybrid T8 features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering a combined output of 455 horsepower. The petrol engine, which produces 310 horsepower on its own, powers the front axle, while a 145-horsepower rear motor is paired with a 14.7 kWh battery pack. This setup allows the XC90 PHEV to offer an electric-only driving range of up to 71 km, with Volvo stating that the range for city driving can reach 89 km.
Volvo has revealed that the starting price for the base mild-hybrid XC90 will be $58,450, while the plug-in hybrid model will begin at $73,000.

I just bought a 2024 xc90 recharge T8 ultimate dark in vapour grey color and it cross my mind if a make a right decision with the 24 model fortunately for me I will come back to this video just to read the other 2 comments so I can feel better 😂😂
