Congratulations, E39 will be a nice reliable daily driver for you. Regarding center storage compartment, it’s just a slideable arm rest! Regarding it blowing cold in the front with heat on, check the slider in the center of the front vents. That is a temperature output controller so when you want heat you have to change the heat there as well as with the digital temperature controls. I think this will help your defroster as well.
Apologies for the delayed response - they did not make an AWD version of the E39. But for earlier you could purchase an E30 (3 series), or later E46 (3 series)/E60 (5 series)/E90(3 series) it is designated by an 'x' in the name standing for X-Drive. For example, a 2006 BMW 525xi is an AWD BMW E60 and around the price range
Thanks! It wasn't perfect but it was overall pretty nice. BMW didn't really figure out the rust inhibitor until the E60. I haven't seen major rust issues on 5 series past the 2004 model year when the E60 came out.
Hahaha, what a coincidence! Have fun with the swap, hope you are swapping the transmission to manual as well :) The cup holders actually work so much better than the pop-out ones!
Fix your oil leak. Most BMWs do NOT leak oil unless they are maintained by punters who bought them from first owners who did no scheduled maintenance so that the second owner could have something to complain about. The S sport shift is for you to do the shifting, not over rev it. I don't think you really understand your car.
Thank you for watching, and for your comment. This was years ago, and I’ve owned at least 8 BMWs from 1990-2001 and they ALL leaked oil from one area or another - whether it be from the oil filter housing, the oil pan gasket, or the valve cover gasket. I actually did fix the oil leak that weekend, haha. If you search common M54 issues, oil leaks and cooling systems are the most common issues. Yes, Sports shifting is for you to shift, or to have it shift you while keeping it in gear longer, naturally revving it higher to give you more instant torque.
One of the more reliable, old school Bimmers out. Still looks great. I’m approaching 160k on my 530i manual and it’s been 💪.
Yes yesss!
Wish style 42s had a slightly wider lip.
I just bought this car today they gonna fix some things and I’m getting it next Saturday and the best of all is the car only has 56k miles haha
Wow, that is an incredible find!
Beautiful car; thanks for sharing this.
Thank you, can you believe someone was giving up on the car because of some damage on the passenger rear door? I saved it from being junked for that
That’s astonishing; some people’s values are fucked. Yours are in the right place here; congratulations and enjoy it. I’m buying an E39 soon.
Beautiful car
It sure is!
Have this 2001 model and the 2003. You have the M-Sport steering wheel, trim is accurate however those are not sports package seats
I didn’t think those were sports package seats since they weren’t bolstered and didn’t have the leg support. Thanks for watching!
I just got the car and have a series of questions that hopefully you would know the answer to. How do I open the center storage compartment?
Do you know what the issue is if my car blows cold air in the front and hot air in the back when I have the heat on?
How do I make my defroster work faster? I feel mine take quite a while to clear up the windows
Congratulations, E39 will be a nice reliable daily driver for you.

My 2003 e39 530i has the same mileage, 107,000 miles
Awesome, enjoy it!
How do I check and see if mine is all wheel or front wheel drive?
I’m pretty sure you couldn’t get an awd version - btw it’s only RWD BMW didn’t have any fwd cars in 2001

Damn, mine is not as nice as this one. Mine has a bit of rust unfortunately
Thanks! It wasn't perfect but it was overall pretty nice.

@@KylesCarVlog yeah it's nothing serious, just a little bit on a couple of the wheel wells and a saddening hole on the bottom of the trunk
funny i think the USA is the only country Bmw felt the need 2 include " unleaded" on the cluster, like its a rental
Haha! It also states Premium Fuel only on the gas cap, as well as in the owners manual (which everyone should read on every vehicle you own)
Get it out on the open road and up to 155! 😀👍
BMWs are so stable that going 100mph feels like 65mph!
I have the same car same color im about to buy a new engine same cup holders. Did you steal my car lol.
Hahaha, what a coincidence! Have fun with the swap, hope you are swapping the transmission to manual as well :)

@@KylesCarVlogThe engine change was smooth I caught a low mileage one for 700. Transmission is Automatic so I kept it, she drive smooth no problems
