I am really excited about this! For the first time a four foot arboreal enclosure is actually attainable. I’ve been looking for the perfect kit for my hog island boas.
Hello! I have a wooden enclosure for my ball python that was DIY built and here's what I do. I have the heat mat INSIDE the tank, and put the probe for the thermostat right ontop of the heat mat. I also see people put tile ontop of the heat mat and then put a thermostat ontop of the tile. But I don't, since I just put the probe ontop of the heat mat and I've never had any issues. My snake will curl up on top of it when she's cold, she has never had burns or any issues she has plenty of room to get away from it and it's safe so long as you tape that probe down on the heat mat
Thank you! 😁 I actually built a prototype reptile enclosure last year that was dual French doors, unfortunatly turns out they aren't as strong as they need to be, and cost quite a bit more at the same time.
