      @@TreetasticGames yup I passed the course and got the job. It was worth it because of the friends and memories I made during that summer as a lifeguard. As for the training course, I had been training for a while heading into it so it ended up not being as difficult as I thought it’d be. Just stay disciplined in working hard and you can do it easy

    Oh wow I can actually see where I'm going very well, so if I'm about to hit the wall, I know it immediately. Just that I can't see that clearly. Not that I can see very well on land either😅 Nice video though!

  • @boardingurban
    @boardingurban ปีที่แล้ว +12

    While i can't see like on land, i know how to interpret the blurry vision. I'm not used to goggles, so I've trained to assess distance with blurry vision + direction based on colour shift (ladders, lines, objects), as well as aprox distance to surface during a high dive. It's possible to use your eyesight without goggles. Glad to see someone else doing it.

    • @Not_A_SomeDoaic_alt
      @Not_A_SomeDoaic_alt 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They already can be created very easily it’s just more convenient to use goggles because lens will be irritating to replace, reapply and remove. The air suction could also be problematic as well. Imagine the suction of nose and eye goggles, not too bad, the suction of eye goggles, worse, and then the possible suction of eye contact goggles?

    Might sound dumb but i was playing with bubbles we release by breathing and tried to make a big one and keep it around my eyes. I thought that maybe it could add this layer of air between my eyes and the water to simulate the effect of goggles. Sadly i managed to do it but the vision was still poor. • @Love-you-too
      @Love-you-too 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jackson Machado yes it is. You should do it when diving deep. You can damage or pierce your eardrum if you don’t equalise your air cavities to the surrounding pressure as it goes deep. I was taught to do it every 0.5-1m. You only need to do it on the way down. If the interval is way to big your eardrum can be stuck . Then you have to go up again until you are at a pressure you can adjust your sinusal pressure and then you can continue the descent. If that doesn’t work you’re fucked even if your eardrum can recover from most things; it is very unpleasant: equalise regularly on the way down. There are different techniques to adjust your pressure to the water depth; not just pinched nose blowing. Check them out on and try to find what works for you.

    Guys, ignore this guy. I been swimming for 17 years and I can see clearly under water without goggles. I can’t see far distances unless i am in a clear beaches like Hawaii.
    But you should be able to see far away. This guy is talking about his own experiences and he should definitely mention this and not talk about everyone….

    Bullshit .. I can see almost clearly underwater and used to be able to see perfectly when I was younger. It's a matter of focusing your eyes differently - this requires training your eyes muscles to strengthen them to focus differently.
    Should be possible for children to learn, though it will get harder as you grow older.

      no they cant, they use wooden goggles and even though they've evolved to last longer underwater they still cant sea clearly with just their eyes

    This video sounds like it was a bit lazy on research, could you go more in depth on the subject and show how you came to your conclusion, please. Thanks, have a good day.
