- How does a Christian that grew up in the South side of Chicago come to be an apologist for Jesus? My guest today Preston Perry has transformed his life from a pot-smoking kid to having regular conversations with non-believers about Jesus. His book is simply FANTASTIC and a wonderful model of how to engage people with truth and love. Please check out our conversation and pre-order a copy of his EXCELLENT book.

Love that statement: “ . . . serving God is not about behavior modification, it’s about a heart change . . .”
"I just want the everyday Christian to know that you can do this.... you can be an evangelist." What an encouraging and inspiring conversion story and bold, loving Christian life!
Preston and Jackie are a true gift to the Church! Love those two. They are both brilliant!
Serving God is not about behavior modification but heart change - straight 🔥
As an ex JW I love the part where he said that worshipping God isn’t so much behavior modification ( of course that’s part of it) it’s a heart change. I prefer the latter because living within ridged man made rules within religious institutions and cults robs a person of JOY and the intimate relationship with our Creator ❤
Sean, I'm crocheting a blanket right now - end of February. I only put this interview on as background noise? But at near the 10 minute mark I put down my crocheting. Thank you so much for this interview! ❤❤😊😊
Everytime Preston shares a personal story, I am so moved by God’s love for him. The Perry’s are such a blessing!
❤️🔥
Yes they are!
This is a very touching interview. I love your true Christian way of interviewing ( talking with) people, Sean. God bless both of you, gentlemen. ❤
What a beautiful story of sovereign grace of God . Preston is definitely a real 1 for our King . So many of us who come from urban areas have similar stories . The Lord is Lord of ova the hood too . 🙌🏽🥹
Loved that! Amen! God is everywhere!!
The LORD is SO merciful and His people so beautiful... wow, thanks!
Thanks Sean for these videos and Preston for sharing with such honesty. I was a nihilistic, communist atheist until not so long ago. I'm wrestling with my changes at the moment, and these stories are a blessing to me and I think to many others.
Preston - God has gifted you in amazing way. You communicate and tell a story where I am finding myself shaking my head, tears down my face, and just feeling like I understand exactly what you were going through. Continue to use that gift for God’s glory!
Such a beautiful testimony. I’m weeping with joy.
I just wanted to add, my mother-in-law loved Jesus and spent her last months at home with our family which included three little boys. Oma loved JESUS. Every day she would pray that Jesus would come for her that night…. she couldn’t WAIT to see his face. The morning we found her asleep in Christ, my little boys were praising the Lord cheering for Oma that Jesus had finally come! Our house was filled with worship and joy that day.
Welllllllll, the “problem” was when when family came by to say their last respects, they were OFFENDED at our joy. It really reflected to us the difference between the worldview of death of a believer to fellow believers and death to unbelievers.
We miss you, Oma but we know you are with your precious Jesus at long last 🎉❤🙏
Dr. Sean. I just subcribed to your channel. This is only the 2nd time I've ever listened to one of your interview podcast. This one with Mr. Perry, and the one with the minister Saudi convert. And I must say. You have great ppl skills. You ask great questions, and you are a great listener. God bless.
Thanks for subscribing and sharing your thoughts!
So excited for this interview!
You’re going to LOVE it!
Thanks Preston. I heard of Jackie first and knew her story and your story as a couple. It was good to get your story to make everything complete. Thank you for your example.
One of the most touching things about this testimony for me is his grandmother's narration of that family death. I didn't realise that less than 24 hours later, I would be facing grief yet again. Losing my mother and brother seven months apart is by far the hardest thing I've ever endured
I'm a fan of Preston Perry and his wife. His video with the Mormon missionaries was a good one.
Love the Perry’s!
YES!
Love this brother Preston
Thank you for the informative, attention holding, & respectful interview! I am looking forward to the next interview with Sean & Preston. Thank you for not interrupting or talking over each other.
so amazing to have you both do a convo together! You guys are two people I recommend to others. Preston thank you for your raw testimony. I lost my grandmother to cancer 2 years ago and the Lord was so good and provided during that time. I watched her slowly die and that is something I grappled with her as well like your bestfriend, we prayed for her and told her about the gospel, but I can't read her heart and I've always struggled with that. So thank you for sharing that part of your testimony because I have felt so alone and like no one understood where I was coming from. Sean thank you for being such a light an example of how we should have humility and be kind you have helped me to remember to be gentle and gracious with people and to remmeber it's not about being right it's about Christ. you both are amazing!
Praise God for Preston Perry….
Preston, you are so sweet. Thank you... * tears in my eyes* ❤
Both of you, Sean and Preston, teach me so much about the love of God and Christ both with your personal stories, but more than anything, in your ability to bring Truth to the table with great gentleness and respect for everyone. Preston, I'm subscribing the very minute your interview concludes. God bless you in your life and your vocation! (an "old" 70+ white woman) :)
I love him Preston Perry I used to watch him his apologetics channel he’s so good.😊
Thank you so much for interviewing Preston Perry! He and Jackie are so unlike many "celebrity" Christians and are having a great impact on the Church. I pray he sells gobs of books! 🙂🙏
Sean 🙋🏻♀️ I hope you’re feeling better, and thanks for this awesome interview! You ask the right questions, draw out your guest to make the conversation coherent, and give them plenty of uninterrupted time to respond. You’re very engaged with each guest as I’ve noticed - by your smile. More blessings to you and yours. 😊
Loved this interview. Thank you
Preston thank you for sharing your testimony of salvation with us. I'm sorry about the death of your friend, Chris. I'm corny and old.
Preston shared an amazing testimonial! Loved this interview. God bless!
What a stunning interview! I am touched by Preston sharing his encounter with his Grandmother - bless God for her influence in his life! Great questions, as usual, from Dr. Sean -
48:25 Preston articulates the topic of “reactionary religions” very well. I haven’t heard it expressed by anyone in a better way than this. God bless you Preston Perry.
Bless you both.
GOD BLESS YOU Guys.
Word of Wisdom the gift of the Spirit
1. "your behaviour changes but not your heart " , I found myself there.
2."No slave masters, you don't have religion "
GOD BLESS YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN
Wonderful interview. By the way, I am a Seventh-day Adventist.
This was awesome
Wow the Cross over episode I never expected!! 😂🙌🏾🔥
This was amazing!! I love listening to Preston and Jackie’s channel and I love this channel! It was great to hear Preston’s story. Thanks for the interview!
Jesus is awesome! He can save anyone!
Preston, thanks for sharing your story. I am an ex-Jehovah’s Witness and recently gave my life to the Lord. My heart smiled when you spoke about having that conversation with the Jehovah’s Witness. Thank you. May the Lord bless you and your efforts.
I love the Perry's and I'm so excited to get his book. I follow their TH-cam channel but didn't know about Preston's channel- just subscribed!
Ours is not a blind faith but a faith based on reasonable evidence. It follows that we can grow our faith through the accumulation of reasonable evidence.
Thank you both for this amazing interview! So exciting to have two apologists I love in one place!
The power of the knowledge of Christ & understanding what He saved us from makes me cry. It is SO powerful, Preston crying makes me weep 😭 too. I always cry when I’m reminded what evil Christ took me out of. Foremost, bc Salvation moves us out of darkness into God’s grace & mercy. What we become aware of, some ppl sooner & others later or eventually, is Christ Jesus’ amazing, marvelous Light ☀️. We absolutely walk in a spot of total Light. This is what I believe our enemy dislikes most about us. If you don’t know it yet then take my word, you are loved by the Father & not loved by His enemy or enemies. Tho we may not see it with natural eyes, we live surrounded by constant spiritual warfare. This is worth weeping over: that knowing Christ has rescued us & continues to redeem us daily from a Most! horrible Dark! reality that exists on the other side of the curtain. Amen to the Reality(s) of Salvation 💜 Love Preston’s heart, humility, testimony & powerful witness!! His grandmother was wise. We none escape pain & suffering.
What a beautiful testimony ❤
Love Preston Perry! Great episode Sean.
I especially like your testament of your friends coming to you for Spiritual advice, you were the closest thing to right that they could see or know! God can and does use us where we are, as we grow in Him! I was one of those guys looking for that advice, we go to where we know untill something (someone )more Excellent comes along. God can use the foolish things of the world to confound the wise(in their own eyes).
Amazing testimony! Thank you
This was awesome! Tear jerker
Love both these guys! Blessings!
Thank you Sean, an excellent interview.
Dude has insight!
This was good
Love this!
Wow♥️❤️🌸❤️♥️❤️
Love This channel
Awesome conversations with the both of you guys!! Thank you!! Yes, I would like to be an apologetic!! How to I get help?
Thanks
This is not related to Mr. Perry (which i love) - but as I've restarted reading Scripture from the Beginning, I wonder about Egypt, why has God been so favorable towards them. So many nations don't even exist anymore because of their shenanigans but Egypt keeps on ticking. Is there a Biblical reason for this?
...Chris could have believed in his heart many confess with their mouth but do not truly believe "‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me." (Matt 15:8)
Regarding jobs in the south of the US, air conditioning changed everything.
From Shiraq to Israel 😂 thats legendary God bless those soldiers
Bad bad Leroy Brown, Jim Croce, came to mind when Mr. Perry mentioned the south side of Chicago.
What is a Moor?
Whats Biola mean?
Biola is a college.
The devil is subtle…he draws people in with a small truth but distorts the rest of it! Very wily! Very clever, but he is no threat to the Almighty God!
Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time
The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits
So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply
Best regards from a Muslim ( line of ismail )
I'm a Canadian, and I'm confused by this mans accent. Is he American born? Quite frankly it's hard to understand him, even though i've put my crocheting down.
Are you from the French speaking Canada? Check if your spoken English is ok because you missed a lot of heavenly wisdom from this guy. God bless you.
Hi Catherine, he's from the south side of Chicago and he just also has deep ebonics type of speech 😊
You can turn on the captions. I am an immigrant here and I don’t have any problems understanding him though.
@@growingcarnations6488that’s not a real thing. He speaks clear English, perfect subject and verb agreement, outside of slang used here or there. Please educate yourself.
None of the people of differing religions have a problem understanding him😏. Maybe your handle of English is loose.
