I loved the part where Preston said: "Boldness is not doing what men are afraid to do, boldness is about obedience. Boldness is about being obedient to God more than it is about being fearless before men." Like WOW!! That is so true 💯 Obedience is truly better than sacrifice
I love how Preston breaks down the text. I try not to always mention Jackie when I’m mentioning Preston, but how can you not!! Such a beautiful god fearing union 🙏🙏 god bless you both
I was thinking the same thing lol . I was trying not to mention Jackie during a Preston episode but this episode really confirmed why God has put them together . What a powerful union !
As an occupational therapist who loves God and work with kids with disabilities, I had the same questions about salvation for people with disabilities. The more I get to know God and work with these children, I see there is hope here on earth and in eternity for people with disabilities. They just need us to meet them and love them where they are at right now🤍 Psalms 139:13-14
Hey sis! As a believer with a deaf aunt, I’ve seen so many deaf people accept Jesus Christ as their savior with their hands, with their eyes when they couldn’t with their words out their mouth. I share this for additional encouragement and hope.
I love how you always advocate for your son and those with special needs and include that in your conversations. We don’t talk about that much so it’s nice too think about what role they play as believers and how they can build a relationship with God as well☺️
Your sons question about his brothers salvation hit me, once again it shows regardless of the age children and their relationship with Jesus Christ is thee most important value a parent can create in their child's life
Also the Bible says that God is a just God. God would not be just in sending mentally delayed individuals to hell just because they don’t maneuver & respond the way we do. There are seeds sown in them just like us. His mercies renew every day and he is a good God!! Dope pod ❤
Thank you for touching on the subject of special needs children and families. Thank you for showing me hope in Christ. We have 2 special needs children.
I just listened to Preston's book on audio books (so I'm sure that's why this is in my recommended; not complaining!) and LET ME TELL YOU! y'all need to read it or listen to it! it's very practical, it gives the contexts that we could witness in (i.e. family that know you & your past / flaws, strangers), ways to start conversations about God, the heart in which we witness, what NOT to do... it's all there. I especially love the part about being okay with watering. We don't always see the full result of our witness, but it's a seed planted. Check out his book, "How to win hearts and not arguments". It's FIRE. God really did His big one with giving us (the Body of Christ) a Preston Perry.
I’m barely 30 minutes in and I love how you guys touch on the topic of “looking in the Bible to find God and not ourselves”. I’m seeing more pastors and people of faith talk about this and it really opened my eyes and made me think differently when I read the Bible.
Megan, your heart for God is beautiful. Thank you. As a mother, i can relate to you. When you have children and things are happening that are out of your control, faith is the only way to keep moving.
Be willing to plant seeds and not see the fruit! **wheeeew** It's God who gives the increase. My God this was so gooood! Listen, God has been feeding us solid food through the Intotality podcast.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 This was quite edifying, encouraging and I'm definitely challenged!
Not me over here crying because like Megan my son is on the spectrum and I am perpetually concerned about my son's salvation. But I know that while I believe God is helping my unbelief. PLUS talk about purpose - my son has made me learn the Bible more. He knows so many bible verses. God is Sovereign
1:06:43 ya’ll done messed around and got me crying. My 5 year old is autistic and delayed. But I see glimmers of hope in him that confirm my hope. He struggles to speak but I can see him looking and trying. He sings some worship songs that he enjoys. He welcomes the nightly prayers and Bible stories. I have hope, but most importantly I look for every little win and am grateful when they come. And I’ve learned to praise and worship even when he’s having his meltdowns. He’s taught me to trust that God will make a way when I don’t even see one because he is a good Father and an awesome God. Thank you for sharing your experience because it builds the community of parents that have children with special needs. ❤
amen! yes!! praise and worship even while meltdowns are happening, being patient with him... I worked with someone non-verbal and even how that person trusted me and followed my voice even in the midst of noisy environments ministered to me. God used it to show me to trust Him and listen out for His voice even in chaotic moments. There are so many beautiful practical lessons about God that I'm sure you've been blessed to learn with your baby
One thing God showed me was that evil was never created , Evil is just the absence Of Good(which only GOD is good) Same as darkness! Darkness was never created . Darkness is just the absence of Light . This was great . May God continue to use you all as the light and salt of this world . 🙏🙏
The well of wisdom that God has given the Perry's is beautiful and inspiring. Glory to God. Thaks for this interview sister Megan. May God bless you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ.
I'm blessed to be at a church where they do that. Fellowship, come together and do life together and diciplship. The more I hear how uncommon it is the more I grow in gratitude toward Jesus for directing my path to a body who truly lives for Him and builds Christians up in a Eternity mindset. Praise God ❤
I'm currently praying and searching for that as well. At my current church which I've attending for years alot has happened. My pastor recently filed for divorce without explanation. Just a few Sundays ago has wrongfully used Acts as a warning to the people for those who he heard has gossiped about him. Literally said he's trying to scare the people. Which the text he used was speaking about the man and wife for lying to the Holy Spirit about the money they kept and died because of it. Smh That was the final straw for me. I feel uncomfortable in going.
The part about Preston and John going at it to prove whether Jesus is God or not remind me of Nabeel Quereshi and David Wood. Nabeel, a devout Muslim lived to devour Christians intentionally seeking to prove we don't worship God. He eventually converted and became a leading apologist for Christianity David was able to defend his faith accurately. His story is very inspiring.
The Perry’s have helped me in many ways using God’s truth and their boldness and gifts are such a blessing to so many they’ll never know❤ but God knows❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Wow amazing conversation! Thank you Megan and Preston for opening up about your special needs son and brother. My nephew is non verbal autistic and it’s such a great reminder to have an eternity mindset. God bless you and your platform. Can’t wait to read Preston’s book!
This episode was so good literally in awe thank you for this episode Megan and Preston! The wisdoming is wisdoming and the Holy Spirit is SPIRITING in you both your tongue and this episode!!! wow incredible ALSO Megan is so confident! Her confidence is glowing and growing in God! Love that for you Megan! God is soooo goood and sooo faithful Amen!
I clicked to see Preston Perry talk about his book, but what blessed me personally was the conversation about autistic people and people with disabilities and their salvation. I'm also a mother of a child who is neurodiverse.
Megan this episode was so spirit led God bless you for this I teared up. Preston !!! God bless you for this!! And congratulations on your book!!! Thank you both for being so obedient!!
Whewww Preston hit me upside my head when he said “if you want to know if you’re not worshipping something then give it up” I never thought I worshipped money or my job but def see now cause I def struggle giving up those things and letting God to have full range in those areas. I cannot know that God is truly Jireh if I can’t trust that he will provide my monetary needs…wheww Preston just made me self reflect! Got some work to do!
It’s really helpful to get some ideas how to answer questions from non Christian friends and also sometimes myself. I found the conversation in this video profound and meaningful to share with others very much !! And fun talk too ❤
What a phenomenal episode ! I had to go back a couple times just to hear some of that wisdom he dropped again ! 😮💨😮💨😮💨 first Jackie and now Preston ! Gods people ♥️
This was so good!! Loved the part where you guys shared about family members with disabilities and how you cope. Man that was so powerful and I cried. There is so much hope to gain from this conversation.
This was awesome. I’m so grateful y’all addressed culture differences & how limited resources generationally have impacted people of color. I’ve been wrestling with God about this a lot recently. But nevertheless, it’s just another reason to praise Him for your platform & leadership!! Thank y’all & can’t wait to see what Preston & Jackie are up to next.
I got his book as a gift around 4pm a couple months ago and by midnight I was finished with the book. I always hated reading, but this book unlocked something that God helped me see. Thank you Preston for having these type of conversations that many should be having, but aren’t! Super dope!
This was an awesome conversation. I love how the dialogue and the content. Just returning from a mission trip where pointing people to Jesus and it was just as simple as handing out candy on the street with an invitation to come to church.
amen to small groups … shoutout to the Perry’s & Megan Ashley this is a good podcast I love the Jesus in you guys !! 🤍 you can see God’s glory in you and how God using you guys especially for me! May God continue to bless you guys and use you as His vessels !!
i love how he said that the real question is, is God sovereign over all evil. & that part about if God were to get rid of evil there would be no mankind! oh Lord, thank you for your mercy!!! This was very good.
When he said, “I think we should try to dignify the church”. That hit me somewhere else, I literally can’t wait to see them when they come to Charlotte, North Carolina this month.
Can we get the book recommendation list you all discussed? As someone who also was raised in the church, things have changed so much. I can say, if you go to a church and you are not convicted to change your life, you probably shouldn't be there. Meaning, you should be uncomfortable living in sin when you go there, the word of God is powerful and when it's taught properly, it convicts your heart and you have to change.
This was an amazing conversation. So many nuggets and moments thay encouraged me. “He’s looking for faithfulness” . That spoke to my soul. Also the part about loved ones with mental health, I can relate and I am encouraged to share and show the love of Jesus to them because salvation is for all.
This is my first time I’ve been able to see Preston as Preston and not Jackie’s husband. By default (because I came to know of her first, a her testimony helped me a lot), I always tied him with her. But man, this really opened my eyes to recognise the wonderful difference between them. This was so divine. Man oh, is God always on time. And Megan knew just the right questions to ask. Bless your heart. ❤ I hope everyone who comes across this comment just remember that God loves you.
He is greater teacher for sure. Additionally i know some SA survivors may have some hurt ab what he said but I hope they focus in and really hear what Preston is truly saying which is God truly is a fair God and wants us to ALL to change and do right by him. I am still processing my SA but with God I’ve forgave the person who did it and I hope Jesus gets to his heart, so I hear you P!!! Also, your wife and you need to come to sac and or bay are for the tour plz !
This entire conversation is 🔥. Ya'll are putting words to what we are REALLY experiencing out here in these streets. There are several Christians who are waiting for God to point them in the right direction to a Christ centered disciple making church, where His presence is priority.
When Megan spoke about her son Caleb. He hat hit home for me. I’m kind of experiencing similar things with my daughter. To hear Preston speak about his older brother. I already have faith but nervous but I know God makes no mistakes. My daughter will be fine and when God is ready for my daughter to progress by his will , it will be done. Thank you for this episode! ❤
When I tell you this is confirmation, I asked God why is Discipleship being HIGHLIGHTED to me God , I felt an urgency in the spirit but I couldn’t understand it so I just prayed about it because I knew NOTHING about discipleship! Thank God for the gift of knowledge 🙏🏾‼️
@@jalissalabria8576I agree. Knowledge is definitely a gift. I remember when I was saved and preparing for baptism, you get that discipleship class. Other than that you don’t really hear about it. It’s something that is needed at all stages of the walk. I even believe if certain people that publicly professed Jesus had discipleship, they would’ve still be in the fold because transformation could’ve taken place (Kanye, but that’s another story).
the convo about nonverbal people & salvation... WHEW. it's a topic I don't hear many (read: anyone else until today) talk about but God put on my heart. in 2023 He had me take this job with a non-verbal person and taught me soooo much. I know my role was to just plant a seed because there's no way I can see the fruit of my labour (yet; I left the job when God said my time was up). The person in care loved music, like Megan's son Caleb. So I would just play worship music and music with Scripture that was calming, and the person loved it; their whole demeanor changed. I went in with the mindset I think most Christians have: I need to cast this mute spirit out, see complete physical healing in this person NOW. And God said no, this person will be autistic & will need help for their whole life FOR HIS GLORY. How? I talk about that in a vid on my channel so I won't type it all here. I'll just say, it humbled me and changed my entire approach lol. Not seeing people as "xyz needs to be fixed" but seeing them with compassion & reaching them where they're at. But another thing God said was that my role was to plant the seed. No one else had ever bothered giving the gospel to this person because of their conditions. Yet the enemy was still wreaking havoc on that person's life, as he does with all of us because satan doesn't play fair. I saw demons manifesting and telling me that the person was theirs "rightfully" and that I could never share the gospel with him because he couldn't verbally consent. It was a battle ground for spiritual warfare. BUT VICTORY BELONGS TO JESUS! God showed me some specific things to set the atmosphere to be one of worship, praise, thanksgiving, and inviting His presence. I prayed with and for the person. I played worship music. I tried playing the audio Bible of the gospel of Luke but the person wasn't into it, which is okay. God has ways of reaching EVERYBODY. It could be through music, a sermon, discipleship, reading the Bible, hearing the Bible, and so many ways we can't even think of. What matters is that when He gives us an assignment to plant or water a seed, we can't rush the process or feel like we failed just because we didn't see the result. I still pray for that person to this day, and I believe I always will. God showed me a vision of the person thanking me in heaven for not giving up on introducing them to Jesus, which humbled me as I worked. And like Megan said, this person in care was so patient. People in public would always compliment me and say "you're so patient to work with this person" but I was like "nah, this person is patient with ME!" because for real, this person was patient as I learned what their sounds meant and we learned to communicate with each other. And the person was joyful... yes they had their tantrums and rough moments, I'm not gonna lie, but ultimately they were a cool person, all things considered. Don't give up on non-verbal & autistic people! They need Jesus too, and they can understand / encounter Him in their own ways.
The way Preston help me better understand and explain about allowing evil to exist for it to essentially lead us to God! This episode was everything. I can’t wait for June 15 in Detroit !
After the man mentioned “Harold’s over Uncle Remus”, I was ready to pause it. J/k!!! Glad I stayed , because the seed planting blessed me tremendously. I’m excited about the book and tour 💛
This one really blessed me! Thank you both, and praise God! Particularly the parts about how God saved us to reach our cultures not save us from it, how He reaches out to people in ways the western mind isn't necessarily used to, and about how boldness is obedience more than doing what man is afraid of. I needed to hear this today. God bless
This conversation was really enlightening... Thank you. I definitely need to rewatch and just meditate on all that was shared. Can't wait to pre-order your devotional Megan 💞💞💞
This is such a good episode! Important and timely conversations, and also very great questions asked! I was watching this while working out and literally kept stopping and saying “wow, this is a great question” lol
Love it here!!! Praise God! Also, the Bible says that we are to receive His discipline as one of the many forms of His love. So God being mad at you (and whatever else that may entail) much like how our earthly/natural fathers discipline us in times of need is His love showing up in the form of Mercy. In regard to evil: we also have to remember that God did destroy all of humanity at one point in time, but then he also promised to never do that again (the rainbow). In regard to Caleb: God also gives us the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us. Who prays the things we know not even to pray. So I’d be willing to also believe Caleb experiences the same thing.
Preston is that ninja! 🙌🏽 he be spitting for real, I always step away inspired and educated. I’ve personally never purchased any book but his was my first!
If it involves the Perry’s I’m watching 🙌🏾🙌🏾
For sure! All things with the perry's and/ or Megan Ashley...I'm there!
Same and Meghan definitely on that list as well
Facts
Right Megan is on the list too! She’s been a blessing for a while now!

I loved the part where Preston said: "Boldness is not doing what men are afraid to do, boldness is about obedience. Boldness is about being obedient to God more than it is about being fearless before men."
Like WOW!! That is so true 💯 Obedience is truly better than sacrifice
Me too!! I had to right that down in my notepad
Pure wisdom ❤
Planting seeds. We don’t have the power to change people, He does. Wow. Love this.
Wow. He 888888 when he said “asking God to destroy all evil is asking God to destroy us” wow.
That part
Whew 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Destroy for Him to renew us
Yep. Snatched my edges with that one for sure.
That! destroy the evil that isn't like You. Destroy what makes me not who YOU made me to be@@certifiednaiikxxs4606
I just wanna say, I like how you switched up those icebreaker questions after Jackie’s feedback 😂😂😂
I peeped that too😂🤣😂

amen!!
Him revealing to you that you are an enemy is MERCY, Hallelujah, My God that statement sent chills down my spine🙌🏾
The Perry’s out here literally doing the Lord’s work 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Yes i agree most disagreements pertaining to the church should be addressed in private. It can confuse and hinder a non believer
I love how you always advocate for your son and those with special needs and include that in your conversations. We don’t talk about that much so it’s nice too think about what role they play as believers and how they can build a relationship with God as well☺️

Preston is soooo smart! Love him! Jim and Jackie are just the perfect union. Thank God for them

I love this interview. It was so different than all the other interviews Preston has been on about the book. I love how you approach this.
Megan this episode was so spirit led God bless you for this I teared up. Preston !!! God bless you for this!! And congratulations on your book!!!

You are very good at this Megan Ashley thank you for continuing to walk in your purpose! Can't tell you how much this blessed me today!
Yes!!!! Discipleship is LOST!
@@Naswillshine TRANSFORMATION Could have taken place and many would have still been in the FOLD !!!! That’s a WORD , thanks sis ! ‼️🔥
that was so helpful when he said boldness isn't being fearless in front of man but being obedient to the Lord
the convo about nonverbal people & salvation... WHEW. it's a topic I don't hear many (read: anyone else until today) talk about but God put on my heart.
in 2023 He had me take this job with a non-verbal person and taught me soooo much.
Sooo blessed to be at a Bible teaching church ! It definitely changed my life within a year !
I appreciate you Megan and am so excited to be able to see your growth in Christ. Loved this show.
Just bought the book. Preston, and Megan God bless you guys. Let’s be about our Father’s business
Preston breaks down the word so well !
That statement about boldness was so on point!!! Wonderful podcast❤
After the man mentioned “Harold’s over Uncle Remus”, I was ready to pause it. J/k!!! Glad I stayed , because the seed planting blessed me tremendously. I’m excited about the book and tour 💛
Me too but I stay 😂
That break down if God created evil was so good 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Thank you Jesus !!
I love that your podcast is doing everything it’s doing for the kingdom of The Most High God! 🙏🏾💜 God bless you and it! In Jesus name amen 🙏🏾
God bless
Megan in Purpose, Megan on Purpose!
This conversation was really enlightening... Thank you. I definitely need to rewatch and just meditate on all that was shared. Can't wait to pre-order your devotional Megan 💞💞💞
BLESSED!! BLESSED!! BLESSED!!! So truly blessed from this Podcast😊 Thank you!!!!
One plants
One waters
God brings the increase.
Thank you, Lord!!!
This is such a good episode! Important and timely conversations, and also very great questions asked! I was watching this while working out and literally kept stopping and saying “wow, this is a great question” lol
I'm reading Preston's book, now. It's powerful and helps me understand me and how to witness.
Your son will speak in Jesus name. I’m believing for you Megan ! ♥️This was a great episode.
Thank you Lord.. for this broadcast... HOPE IN CHRIST. WHEN WE SUFFER HERE.. PRESTON, AND MEGAN THANK YOU HOLY SOIRIT FIR USING THEM.. AMEN.
Fellow Chicagoan: Harold’s Chicken at home is BOMB!!!! He ain’t lyin either, dirty hole in the wall restaurant, you know the food is gon bang. 😂
I second this lol extra sauce on the fries lol 😂
I would assume Harold's in Atlanta wouldn't be good.
The Atlanta location is great but I haven't had in 10 years. Was good back then. But I'd get lite hot sauce w/ mild sauce and get sauce on frys.
This is so good!!! Thank you, Preston for always teaching and speaking with godly wisdom, practicality, and truth. May the Lord bless you more. 💗
Thought-provoking. Convicting.
Such a blessing, Preston
