This is part of a longer program from Creative Live which for a price can stream the whole program to you or you can down load it. As a teacher myself I give John G a 10. He is a natural. His other courses on other cameras are great too. Okay, he sometimes goes off at a tangent but I personally like this. He has encyclopaedic knowledge but still understands the novice. I actually bought the program when it was on sale.
I use the 9fps everyday to shoot skating, as long as I'm outside in full sunlight, it's picks up the drastic movement perfectly. I've also shot in the rain with my 12-50 it came with, seems fine. & the image stabilizer is almost, if not better than my professional grade Canon XF100. This Olympus is one of my favorite cameras.
Enjoyed the video, nice to see the history of Olympus also. Got my E-M5 back in Nov 2012 and thoroughly enjoying using it, especially with the 45mm f1.8 lens.
Great intro to this camera. I for one will be buying this course, he is a natural easy to listen to teacher. OK you can get free tutorials on YT but not of this quality of teaching.
omd-em5 is best mirrorless , image quality, classic look , fast focus, best video, u can add grip on , it good for travel, but it is not for professional grade,
This clip did not live up to the name. I wanted a step by step of how to set the camera up using the tedious menu system. It got good in the last ten seconds and then nothing. Don't bother

OM-D EM-5 is probably the best mirrorless camera on the market and one of the best camera by far. It was the camera of the 2012 for DPReview reader.

Excellent introduction to the origin of the camera.
There is an Olympus case for underwater work for the OMD/PEN series. The underwater accessory family includes flash system.
what a nice and informational video.
Only a short note early on.. Looked at all of the less costly Leicas. But the Oly OMD looks like one of my first choices..Thankyou

Where one can get the whole video?
I just got mine...2.7.20, and I know it's a little old but this camera is what I wanted in a camera, and I can use my old E 520 lens....
I'm debating between the NEX 7 and the Olympus OM-D EM-5. Any suggestions from someone who has used both ?
Beats reading instruction manuals - thanks guys
Why wouldn't it be suited for professional use?
Nice presentartion app!
Would have been nice to know this mft vs four thirds before buying all sorts of the wrong kind of lenses.
