Hi Mike, Looking forward to part 2 to see how much silver you get. Will re-watch your first video to compare. Thumbs up! Jim

I watched your older video on processing tantalum caps this morning .

I'd like to see the silver too and the copper & tantalum and aluminum and ceramic, if there's any plastic it looks like it'll burn off, what about the palladium? If possible the nickel and if there was gold on the pads they were setting on if they're used. Another excellent video, been watching for years

I saw Dussan999 get gold from black tantalums.

Look at all that sediment in your ball mill, the metals are pounded in the cast iron. You probably got a ounce of gold if you milled the ic chips previous and didn't clean with water and a tooth brush, you could use a wet vac to clean it out, there's sediment in the hose as well

Every time you say the word agitate i think of my wife. I am waiting on you to test the blue bowl. Takes a bit more time and water but i think its worth it at the filtering stage.

What's your thoughts on using rainwater instead of buying distilled water? I've lots of buckets we get plenty of rain. I've started filtering it and saving it.

You may live far enough from the Gulf to get away with it. Our rain here is too salty with sea spray.

I'll be doing gold from IC chips soon. The Blue Bowl will probably get tried out.

    What's the bag weigh?

I've started using the turkey burner from the bottom and the weed torch from the top. Have to be careful not to blow the chips out of the pan but it seems to ash better

Nice. Waiting for part 2. Following up on the question from and reply to @HrTower : how about treating with hydrochloric acid after incineration and crushing? I realize that it would be an extra step, but would that help reduce the amount of base metals the nitric acid would have to react with? Interested to know what you think! Thank you.

@@keithrodman9318 Might be worth a try.

Would it help to dissolve the iron in HCl first, then filter and rinse thoroughly before going to HNO3?

@35:33 could you put ice in the bowl lid, to increase the reduction of the gas?

would you also get the Tantalum?

Would it not be a good idea to put them in AP before you burn them to get rid of a lot of the base metals ?

There's a lot more surface area and exposed base metals after incineration and crushing. Treating them before incineration may not be that helpful.

Is the khaki cargo pants official silver recovery attire?

Yes. The process doesn't work otherwise.
