I Can't believe I FINALLY found a very rare and valuable quarter variety! I never get much luck when I coin roll hunt quarters... Yet, I still love the anticipation of opening those orange striped rolls and looking for silver. I have put off hunting quarters often (although I do look through one box per week) since my luck with them is terrible... but figured I stay focused on my quest for more silver, some more 2019 W Quarters and of course, any valuable errors or varieties. I inherited my grandpas old collection just a few weeks ago. And I've been going through it and watching your videos for help. They have helped so much and I was wondering when all of the bicentinials (I hope I spelled that right) that my grandpa collected would have a reason for me to look closely at them. Thank you for this video and all of the stuff you have showed me and a lot of people. Keep up the good work!
Awesome find! I just went through 4000 quarters and checked all 20 of the 1976 Ds I found with no joy. You are amazing! Thanks for showing me what it looks like! Please update us when you get it graded!
FINALLY FOUND MY FIRST 1976 DDO FS-101! Grade is quite poor, but still stoked to get one after many dozens of boxes, and around 800 bicentennial quarters searched (I’ve kept all bicentennials, P and D, which I just counted).

What an exciting hobby this is. I need to dig deeper. Thank ya, brother. Good stuff.
I've always found a bunch of 1976 quarters, but I've never checked to see if was a ddo. I've found handfuls of Ws and Proofs though, with a fair amount of silvers. I should start checking for other mint mistakes now 🤔
Nice find!!! I have a whole roll of bicentennial quarters I made up from recent weeks in quarter hunting. Never knew of this error! I'm gonna go through them then see if I can find one!!!
Cool about the 76 DDO. I had one given to me as change at Dollar Tree. The nicest coin I've ever owned . Besides a small scratch in front of his nose it would definitely be an MS 67 or maybe 68 without the scratch. It's flawless , champagne color that stands out like a sore thumb among my other quarters. Just sent pictures to Great Collections , will be graded soon and sold . I am sure it's the best DDO in the market after graded. I have that much confidence in this coin. I have two others I thought were special until this one. Puts the others to shame. Congratulations 🎉
Wow! Epic find with that Bicentennial D quarter! I have never found one! I held one in my hand once at a coin show back in the 1980’s, but that’s it. You did hit the trifecta today with the errors, silver and “W”! Congrats!
hey Thanks for the Video Rob. My husband has Many many Bicentenial Quarters and we are gonna look at them for one like yours. I realize they are rare but he has always saved all Bicentennials. I go through 20 rolls of quarters weekly so always am on the lookout for the errors but never knew of the bicentennial doubling.
Congrats! Quite a find, Rob and a beaut either way. I honestly didn't know about the '76 DDO; I'm definitely going to be checking my old ones for that. Have a great week bro
1st time to view your videos. You got my atte ntion with the comment about Blueridge Silverhound,s people also watch you. Shaun is my daily inspiration in my pursuit of coins. Awesome box, great ddo! I'm still looking for one myself. I did find a 1971 P ddr quarter and that's up ther win rarity with the 76 ddo I believe. Love the wisconsin high leaf quarter!!
Nice Find Brother! I found 5 S NIFCs in my last box. One was the 2015 S Saratoga. 888,380 minted. Second lowest of the series so far according to the 2019 Red Book. Lots of RNR Quarters no more RNR Ws
Nice finds, 👍 Got ya beat on the bicentennials. Got a really nice silver and ten bicentennials in one box. Lots of new state quarters BU’s . Looks like folks are throwing their State Quarters Collections back into the banks....
Congratulations Rob on the 76 D DDO. I didn't even know it existed. I think I would spend the money to get it graded. Not so much for the actual grade, but for the DDO attribution, and my own satisfaction.
Welcome to the 1976-D DDO Club :) Found one a while back and looked at the same info that you did - If what they showed as the example is an AU58 then I would say that the one I found was 45 to maybe 50 (if I had to take a gander) - it sure is an awesome feeling when you first see it under scope!! Great Find - AWESOME
I bought my own lap top on Black Friday so I can hook up my scope to start checking for these errors more easily. Need to get a Cherry pickers guide next!
Wow Rob that was an EPIC box, loved the excitement in your voice!!! When you get boxes like that how can you not keep hunting. Congrats on the finds Brother. :)
Excellent video as always. I used to collect coins when I was a lot younger....but life got in the way and just now getting back to it. interested in the book you used for pictures on that quarter as I am sure there is more info in there as well. You would be amazed at the number of coins I find in junk cars that I buy. Thanks
Amazing find. I have never bought MASSIVE quarter quantities to find one of these, but I've been looking since my first Cherrypickers Guide I purchased back in like 1996 or 1997.
I hunted my first quarters today. Mostly looking to fill my state quarter books. Could only afford $100 in quarters for the hunt. Did pretty well in filling the books. Found no W quarters but did find an odd 1982 which I will send to you. The oldest one I found was 1965. Also found 2 bicentennials which i kept.
that Bicentennial Quarter is my favorite quarters! I've not checked if I have any like that one, I have between 100 and 200 of them as my grandmother collected them and I inherited them in 1997
Hey I'm doing the same. But check it out. They sell a "microscope" that plugs into your phone that's not marketed toward coins, you have to search for phone microacope and boom, $20 versus $40+ for the ones made for coins. It does the same thing, but cheaper Happy hunting
I got lucky my very first box I found a Lowell "W", a Virginia silver S proof not a scratch on it. A dozen bicentennial quarters including a silver S , 6-1996 P&D's that are in unbelievable condition for 23 years old. And a decent shape P&D state quarter entire set and most all the National park P&D quarters in great shape and the latest 2019 Nat. Park quarter to be released. Very lucky I'd say.
Great find👍 congrats, I’m pretty sure I found a 1989D penny error my research says doubling in mint mark, but mine has mint mark and date. Not much but for me my first ever double coin.
@@RobFindsTreasure I went to Toronto this summer and did some metal detecting, but also tried to get some pennies from the bank. found an AU 1946s penny and a MS 63 or 64 1955s Penny in my register the other days. Both cleaner than any wheat penny ive ever found in my life. Ive only hunted about 12 boxes though!

PSA I work at a high end grocer so its not like these were people cashing in collections from their grandparents or drug addicts they were all individual coins from people that somehow don't understand us currency.
