I followed the bus route over Google Earth...very strange, he goes a very long way round on a route very different from the rail service he is replacing! Is it because the direct road up Koya-san has tolls or restrictions on buses?

その昔、経由地は違うんだけど橋本と高野山を定期の南海バス路線がありました。橋本橋を渡って玉川峡経由と高野口を回って九度山からかつての有料道路を経由しての2路線です。昭和50年（75年）以前かなあ。
バス目線で見てると、狭い所で待機してる軽自動車を見てると勉強になりました。
横向いてるとはいえ登りなれてる軽四の位置どりでしたね あのカーブ手前での待機は
なれてないと52:00みたいな位置で普通に止まる
