Oh yes I agree. There used to be a bunch of these from Japan and the twilight winter ones were very nice. But they got copy right strikes and the channel was discontinued
What a relaxing ride through a beautiful landscape. I remember similar tiny "rail buses" from my childhood in Germany, but nowadays they're all gone as anything but longer trains was cancelled for cost efficiency, cutting off countless smaller towns that are now serviced only by bus, if at all. I definitely got a bit of nostalgia from watching this video, and I hope Japan will continue to maintain lines like these to connect the people. Thank you for posting!
On the other hand every Ossi has to buy “Westautos" ever since falling for the promise of Blooming Landscapes, thus running regional rail services dry... Ostalgie schön und gut - but would you REALLY wanna go back?
@@tiltil9442 Not on a lot of things! But more extensive and better organized public transport, definitely. With modern technology in particular it would be a lot better on the environment, too. Cutting back on connections will only drive even more people to buying cars as luxury becomes necessity. Last but not least, a lot of those cut-off villages are populated mostly by old folks. How many of them are still able to safely drive a car on their own, even if they have one?
The Japanese have a better respect for ethnic homogeneity and sense of community than do Western peoples. Keeping the people connected is more of a priority for such a culture.
Japan is so beautiful. I'm so grateful that i can watch videos like this and see places I may never be able to visit in person. Thank you for the upload!
What a serene and calming ride. The countryside is so beautiful and pristine. Makes me want to just get off at a random stop and spend a day exploring the countryside and meeting people. This would be better than a week in a city for sure. Thank you for taking us on a ride. Would love to see Akihito Yoshitomi take a ride and do a days worth of sketching and drawing :)
I have a loving for these Japan railways scenes, and this must be the best one I've yet seen on TH-cam platform. The successes are more than 26 by my own counting, and I have realized fully with eyes unclouded that the potential for your videos is now infinite.
Привет из Украины!) Будто сам проехал на этом поезде... Очень красивая природа! Всегда уважал и восхищался Японией! Автору удачи во всем и спасибо за прекрасное видео!
Before more than 50 years, I went to a high school by this train every day. More passengers were using it then, and the tram was also a little longer. But the atmosphere isn't different from the past, old friends seems to be boarding from each station.
The funny thing seeing all the cameras and phones recording outside the train makes me wonder how many times I saw this train from other videos of the same moment of recording. Trainception. 😳
Beautiful, very beautiful! I don't know why but it looks like home to me, also when I watch footages from Tokyo or other cities and towns. Best greetings from Germany (Erlangen in Bavaria)!
@@VladekBerTV почему?Что у Вас случилось?В России тоже очень красиво.Из окна поезда всегда люблю рассматривать виды. Желаю и Вам найти такую возможность.
I love your video's. I always thought Japan was cram packed with people and had no country side. Boy was I wrong, this is some very nice open country. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for uploading. Last time I was there was during the late 90s, visiting from greater Tokyo area for a week. If you ever have the chance, go hiking and mountaineering in the Japanese Alps. Beautiful landscape.
That electric multi unit that passed right through at Ena Station is a *legitimate* express. This rail motor bypassed only 4 stations, that can only be explained by the service running behind schedule and needing to pick up some lost minutes. (49:26)
Another beautiful relaxing scenary through the country side , it made me think of Anime specifically "Spirited Away" and made think now this would be where Chihiro mostly like be from hehe thanks again for sharing or adventures
Seriously ... This train goes practically from nowhere to a nearby city, and has pre-recorded messages in two languages? I can't even imagine such thing in Hungary, at least on the small lines. The main ones have such messages.
Most of Japan is really over developed and not very natural. But this area reminds me if the Fraser valley between Hope and Vancouver BC. This line is so pretty and relaxing to travel through. Thanks for uploading.
It is a set of sprung points which operate under the weight of the train. See th-cam.com/video/ZKZpYH3LmAk/w-d-xo.html for several demonstrations. 33:09 This is not a major station as it has only the one platform. the extra track is a passing loop in the event of an actual express service passing in either direction, allowing it to pass unhindered.
小学1年生の頃、父に連れられて行きました。蒸気機関車が貨物を引いて走る光景を52歳になった今でもよく憶えています。ここは日本の原風景のようですね。
These kind of videos are so pleasing and relaxing to watch

Japan is so clean not like china.. and the ppls are so kind.. greets from turkey
Incredible! What beautiful landscapes are seen in the interior of Japan. Everything seems to me very traditional and this train reminds me of a tram.
Is this train popular with tourists? I notice some announcements are in English.
Thank you for the ride! A wonderfully relaxing journey!
