The P-47 Thunderbolt was a reliable Aircraft. Heavily armored and equipped with 8 50 Cal Machine Guns. The pilots called this Aircraft "The Jug"... for a bloody good reason. I am not a Call of Duty fan, but a WW1 and WW2 aviation enthusiast.
They were also very heavy and and didn't have enough fuel to escort US bombers from Britian to Germany, unless it was taken off in France. But P-47s in 1945 that were based in France only participated in air support missions. The plane here should be a P-51D Mustang

Meko Cake retro games didn’t have to be realistic because they were so 8-bit. But modern games have the graphics and detail to make a realistic game, but they shy away from it because it’s generally not accepted by a majority of their community.
this is actually accurate, we all know higher up means gravity pulls you less, which means you gain more speed. i learned this from studying physics when i was watching professor michael bays documentaries

Call of duty needs instantly military advisors to save the franchise. The games are too unrealistic, not graphics-wise, but certain parts of the game makes it seem like the developers never got out of their comfortable desks to study military history, phisics etc
They seem to have studied it but the problem is since this series went "Hollywood style" it's hard to ground it cause fans feel alienated or "it won't be call of duty anymore"
MW2 is supposed to be the Hollywood peak for the series, especially with most of the campaign being almost entirely homages to action movies, but MW2 was still more accurate than any of the recent games.
No genius if you know a little aeronautics, if you hit ailerons or the rudder, the airplane becomes an uncontrolled machine so they spin like that...for you physics 1/10

Well, i know nothing, but, my opinion is that the flak was made to take down slow planes such bombers, fast flying planes like fighters would probably have almost no danger. I mean, we are talking about a cloud of explotions, but as a fast plane you would have bad luck to be hitted by one flak
FireTears93 Flak damages planes by the shrapnel from the explosion, making it deadly regardless of airspeed. Dont need a direct hit to get damaged by one.
Actually, it could. It would just require a specific set of circumstances. for example if the pilot was banking and the wires snapped and from there the tail came off then yes it would spin that fast, maybe a little slower

Paper Please you can have left and right rudder with only 1 rudder. Pedal left = "left rudder" So if you can't deflect the rudder to the left, theoretically your "left rudder" is inoperable
Has no one ever told you when it comes to WWII styled dogfights you need to aim in front of the boogie? Plus, focused fire on the wings will take them out quicker.
The fact that you can just shoot even if an ally is just right behind your crosshairs and get away with it with not much punishment takes away the dogfight experience. Good graphics, not that refined mechanics.
Sometimes I guess the bullets don't hit when an object is right behind the crosshairs because the objects are moving and by the time the bullet reaches the spot, the object is gone. However, even if you do hit the ally, the game doesn't punish you much, I agree with that.
The pilot: yeah, I should deffinitly fight with a p47 carring my external fuel tanks, of course they don t make my plane slower and more difficult to turn, and also atack a bf109 from the side when the bf109 has better turning

A P47 as an escort? I mean, it wasn't unheard of but they were more suited for ground attacks and by this stage of the war, P51 Mustangs were the primary choice for bomber escorts.
Guys we’re lucky they threw us a bone and gave us an awesome flying segment in this game. You gotta figure how much time and effort they put into a segment that lasts all of 5 minutes in a game that takes 4 hours to finish.
I disagree. Some small percentage of mainstream AAA games get their gun sounds with precise accuracy. For example, games such as Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, Insurgency, Squad, and many other FPS has great firearm noises.
Yeah, no shit. Insurgency and Squad, however, is still a mainstream game that sold millions of copies. Not to mention they're also making a new game as well. My point still stands; some mainstream games still do go further and use very legitimate gun noises and sound effects; unlike the garbage excuse of a game CoD is.

That's another reason why we lost a lot of bombers during WW2. It wasn't just because they were shot down by enemy fighters; it was also because of friendly fire. Even to the most well trained eye, an experienced pilot is thrown into such a chaotic combat scenario that it's hard to tell exactly what you're shooting at until it's too late. A lot of bombers took stray hits while one of our friendlies were trying to shoot down an enemy.
I'm just triggered because they called this game call of duty "WW2" and you can only play as the Americans once again , I was hoping a little bit of British or French , what about the Japanese ? Everybody seemed to forgot the Pacific theatre , I would had loved to play as a Japanese zero or a US Marine
What is really forgotten is the eastern front. So much games about the western front it makes me sick. Seems like they seem to portray this as the only turning point in the war with germany. What about the Kursk bulge? Battle of Stalingrad? Battle of Moscow? Operation Bagration? No? K.
So realistic. Just look at that Bf-109 coming towards the player at 5:25 - It's perfect physically. Also, a B-17 lost its "left rudder", although it had only one... And it's now losing altitude. Also, those Bf-109s are spinning faster than their props and then they explode and disappear completely. It's such an amazing mission in this game 😂
The steering was terrible on PC and the Gameplay on Planes too. And always the same Deat Animation on the good Friedrich Planes. And than the Stuka dive Sounds in Dog fight😁😁😁
If it steer plane using mouse or keyboard or both, it would be better. Like Medal of Honor Pacific Assault(if you know tht game or not, dont mind), flyboy mission fly usin mouse only
Its not only stuka dive sounds. This could happen when the speed of incoming air is higher, than propeller can provide. So when the speed of air in front of propeller is higher than behind it, propeller begins to work as airbrake, making this syren sounds.
I know right the bf 109s would climb higher and turn faster if accurate also 109s were made of metal so it would take some runs to destroy it with machine guns that aren't cannons
thats not a 100lb, those are too small to be a 1000 lbs, i'd say they were roughly 250 lbs. But yes, escort fighters shouldnt have ordinance with them, that's why they are escorts

Well, i know nothing, but, my opinion is that the flak was made to take down slow planes such bombers, fast flying planes like fighters would probably have almost no danger. I mean, we are talking about a cloud of explotions, but as a fast plane you would have bad luck to be hitted by one flak
FireTears93 Flak damages planes by the shrapnel from the explosion, making it deadly regardless of airspeed. Dont need a direct hit to get damaged by one.

Actually, it could. It would just require a specific set of circumstances. for example if the pilot was banking and the wires snapped and from there the tail came off then yes it would spin that fast, maybe a little slower

Paper Please you can have left and right rudder with only 1 rudder. Pedal left = "left rudder" So if you can't deflect the rudder to the left, theoretically your "left rudder" is inoperable
Maybe the bomber was already at a high bank angle to the left and the rudder jammed, causing the plane to lose altitude.
Left rudder is jammed probably meant it's rudder is jammed in left position or won't go left which would explain altitude lossage

Sometimes I guess the bullets don't hit when an object is right behind the crosshairs because the objects are moving and by the time the bullet reaches the spot, the object is gone. However, even if you do hit the ally, the game doesn't punish you much, I agree with that.

A P47 as an escort? I mean, it wasn't unheard of but they were more suited for ground attacks and by this stage of the war, P51 Mustangs were the primary choice for bomber escorts.
P-47's and P-38's were all the escort the bombers were getting until some engineer decided to slam a Merlin engine into a P-51A

I disagree. Some small percentage of mainstream AAA games get their gun sounds with precise accuracy. For example, games such as Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, Insurgency, Squad, and many other FPS has great firearm noises.

That's another reason why we lost a lot of bombers during WW2. It wasn't just because they were shot down by enemy fighters; it was also because of friendly fire. Even to the most well trained eye, an experienced pilot is thrown into such a chaotic combat scenario that it's hard to tell exactly what you're shooting at until it's too late. A lot of bombers took stray hits while one of our friendlies were trying to shoot down an enemy.

What is really forgotten is the eastern front. So much games about the western front it makes me sick. Seems like they seem to portray this as the only turning point in the war with germany. What about the Kursk bulge? Battle of Stalingrad? Battle of Moscow? Operation Bagration? No? K.
So realistic. Just look at that Bf-109 coming towards the player at 5:25 - It's perfect physically. Also, a B-17 lost its "left rudder", although it had only one... And it's now losing altitude. Also, those Bf-109s are spinning faster than their props and then they explode and disappear completely. It's such an amazing mission in this game 😂

Its not only stuka dive sounds. This could happen when the speed of incoming air is higher, than propeller can provide. So when the speed of air in front of propeller is higher than behind it, propeller begins to work as airbrake, making this syren sounds.
"C" model P-47 flying escort into deep Germany with 2 x 1000 lbs bombs and fighting aginst 109s......inaccurate in so many ways. sigh sigh
