Hi Anders, good job to keep your 2002tii in perfect driving condition! Nici movie. In april next year I will visit my friend in Denmark with my E9. I would like to pay your museum a visit. Where is it located? Greetings and keeep the good work going! Theo (from Holland)
I swear the E34 is so underrated. Prices are not even that high in the UK, which surprises me as it's a seriously good looking car with some excellent engines.
Had my 1994 525i for over a year now, and it has been a very reliable and fun daily driver overall. I drive lots of different new cars regularly, but everytime I get back in my old E34 it just makes me appreciate driving alot more!
To Katya, I own my E34 sedan, just like yours for over 7 years. On our first anniversary together and the car's 25th anniversary I took it Dingolfing and even made a E34 shaped cake for her. Her name is Natasha. Definitely go to Dingolfing. Not much to see, we didnt go inside, but still worth it and after Munich.
Spasibo Bol’Shoye E34 Katya! I had a 1993 525i 5MT with the M50TU. Lovely, I miss it still. I bought it in San Jose CA and drove it to Washington DC. Bought it with 130,000 miles, sold it at 180,000 to an enthusiast who had just blown his S54 and needed a daily. He was amazed how well the 525i performed after his M3. I will always remember the sound of metallic cream!
It'd be great if BMW's enthusiasm for their classics extended to parts support! I do love the content on this channel, but it's unfortunate that even some of the basics required to keep these cars on the road are no longer available. At what point will it be time to put this passion into action?
For my 88 model E34s can I still pick up many parts new from my local dealership, they also have a lot of E28 parts in stock, something that would never happened on a Ford dealership for example, so they are pretty great on keeping parts around, but yes, the even older BMWs its getting harder for
The E34 is the sleeping classic of today. It’s better looking than the E30 in the metal, it’s built in Dingolfing while they were prepping to build the first RR shells, it’s got all the modern zinc-dipped rustproofing but none of the modern dashboard short-life electronics, it’s aero is just as good as today, and the M50TU was developed to directly benefit from Rosche’s McLaren V12. It weighs less than a 2 series today. And you can get one for less than $5000. Dang! If I had the cash, I’d restomod a 540i with a current S63. Yummy!
These era of bmw's were the best. Front engine, rear wheel drive, manual, straight 6 n/a engine, Lsd, 50 50 weight distribution, stiff chassis, not too many driver aids to interfere, mechanical (had a dipstick) and distinctive looks. These were the hallmarks of bmw. Now what's happened?
The E34 M5 was the last hand built M car from BMW MOTORSPORT . I use to have a poster of the 300 M mechanics that built them. Those days are so long gone.
Just came back from a drive in my 650i xDrive Cabrio (f12) and watched this video and thought, “yeah, got to drive them and keep them” that’s why I’ve still got my 750i xDrive (f01) and wife’s 535i xDrive Touring (f11) you’ve got to enjoy them before politics out weighs enjoyment of life!
I owned an f80 for about 6 months before I had to sell it because I was moving and would no longer have it in my budget to keep the car. I miss it every day and can’t wait to buy my next bmw
Ich bin Baujahr 1975, damals hatte mein Vater einen neuen 520er ohne i, und seit damals stehen in unseren Garagen nur BMW, meine Mutter mit 78 Jahren hat sich im Mai noch einen 118i Sportlline gekauft
This feeling is getting lost... switching to FWD... plastics... automatics... The car that captivated people for the driving dynamics now sells cars that drive like fords and renault clios.
BMW needs to go back and rehire the designers from before 2001. The designs are so superior to the last two decades it's scary. Where's the 2002tii Homage???????
Why does not start BWM a classic center? Porsche has done that. And for all what I really dislike when you go to a official dealership you are poor treated because you drive an old BMW. I drove a BMW E39 M5 and never felt welcome
Lovely video!
Great video, almost as good as yours! They should have got you in the video with the M5!
Hello sensei
And here we have the BMW guru talking 👍👍👍👍👍
Ahhh Streten, my BMW hero! 😎
Since the 850 has been already covered, we are waiting for the 635cs
Such an honour for my beloved red 2002 to be given a supporting role in this excellent BMW Classic film... :-)

Props to the E34 owner keeping it stock and looking good in those conditions

Miss my 535i 5speed. M30 power!
That's why I bought one 😁
But seriously there are are still a lot of them out there and for 5K you get a nice 520 or 525. Really reliable cars!
@@thatmatrix4617 bought mine for $2500 in California 8 years ago.

THat won't be for long... the E34 price are growing. especially for the 540i and the M5
Happy to be part of this with my E30. 31 years of putting smiles on my face and onlookers!
Glad to see that there are still people at BMW Group that still 'get it'.
Now those are the ultimate _driving_ machines!

Beautiful looking cars! Really miss my dad's E34 535i. No other BMW he has owned hit 400'000 km that easily!

I've traded in an E30 320i. E34 525i and a E39 520i. Currently run a F31 320d ED. I miss the E34 the most. I need to get another one...
E34 was my first car. I'm still missing the dark blue interior. Sadly sold it.
The thing that most impresses me in this (fantastic) video is the BMW SERVICE-TEST unit, functional and all at 2:04, super cool!
I,m a E34 TDS owner from Makedonija wish you all best..🙋🇲🇰💖
BMW 2002: my first love and the reason I fell in love with BMWs! Today I am a happy owner of a 320i coupe (E92)
Excelent video, I absolutely love this kind of stories. My love for BMW´s started with a friends E36 320i, i hope to buy one soon as my first car
You will never regret becoming part of the supportive modern classic BMW community. We welcome you.
Excellent video and excellent job Anders Bilidt!
Thx Torben. 😉

And even if the parts are available, they can be incredibly expensive.

@@Anirossa Unfortunately, this isn't the case for e31 parts.
@@atfekete Guess they prioritize those that they made the most of :/
Keep the classic alive
Wonderful video - nice to see the folks at Classic get it!

if it has the all the zinc dipped rustproofing, then why are all E34s notorious for getting rust everywhere?
@@thewedge8823 after 25/30 years i guess it happens anyways.. f.e. Opel cars from the same era were off the roads way earlier 😄
Love the music. It matches the theme of automotive romance. Very 50s and doo-wop style, especially at 2:39
I love the fact that there is a story behind every car. Some peoples don’t get it but I found this pretty interesting
More on the e24 please. 👍🏻😀
So beautiful and heart-warming video. Cars really bring people closer to each other, as they should! Great vid BMW!
These BMW Fans Who let your Brand's old time cars to live alive are your Heritage.

There are many languages many cultures but in the world of BMW we all speak "Car"
