I don't remember the very first comic book I read because it was a long time ago. lol
However, I do remember that one of them was an oversized book -the DC & Marvel crossover between Batman and The Incredible Hulk!
I also bought a book not knowing it was old. Also an X-men book. It was a reprint of the All New, All Different Giant Size X-Men that introduces Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Thunderbird, Banshee and of course, Wolverine to the team.

Wow that was way more comprehensive and in-depth than I was expecting, I love the lighting as well, I can’t even remember what I read after the first 3 or so stories haha, it was so funny too that your first Batman issue was the double date one LOL.

Cool story. Thanks for sharing . I have a very similar one - 2020- i went to a used bookstore looking for trade paperbacks and DVDs because that’s what I collected the most. They never sell single issues at this bookstore but they got a donation of 20 long boxes and I was curious. They didn’t care about them so they put them by the main entrance next to the security check in and trash cans. 10 for $1 . I got first dibs at an unpicked box. Found ultimate fallout 4 (and 1-3) still in its baggie. I didn’t know what I had but when I got home I looked them all up and when I got to ufo4 I was hooked. And it’s still in my collection alongside 4000+ books now.

I've purchased about 35 DC Omni's this year so I totally relate to "going crazy". Only read about 3 so far but it feels good just to have them there when I feel like jumping in.

My story is so much like yours. Ive just recently gotten back into comic books, it’s been nice. I too live in NC. I work at a call center too haha. That’s wild. Love the videos. Keep it up. I’m trying to start making this type of content. Would love to collaborate in the future.

The first series i read was The New Warriors back in early 90s then Image hit with Spawn, Youngblood, etc etc etc i was hooked

Man. It feels weird being less into collected editions than i omce was.
But I too have SO many unread omnis on my kallax....
