Repent and trust in Jesus. We all deserve Hell for our sins, such as lying lusting coveting and more. We can't save ourselves, but Jesus can save us. He died on the cross to save us for our sins and rose from the grave defeating death and Hell. You must put your faith in him only. He is the only way to Heaven. Repent and trust in Jesus. Glad to see that you covered the color-breaking crease conundrum! I have a UF4, newsstand, with a small color-breaking crease in that same, lower-right corner, and I came to the same conclusion of an 8.0 grade based on Overstreet's grading standards. I plan to send it in to CGC in the near future and I'll be curious to see what grade they assign it. Thanks for the great video, and I'm looking forward to checking out your Whatnot show this Friday!
Nice to get others take on this and see different perspectives. Thanks for another great video man and to see you cracking those top ten lists!! Well earned man!
Actually just submitted to CGC for the first time ever for the Jason Fabok and Brad Anderson signing after following your tutorials on what to do! Your videos are always super helpful 👍
Thank you for doing this video. Since I started getting back into buying comics again, I am glad you did a video so I can learn what to look out for. I am sure I just need to look at a lot of books to get a good feel.
Great video! I appreciate you going over these books and explaining the terms for the different kinds of damage and how it can change the grade. BTW, "indicia" wow you taught me a little something extra today!

Thank you. I buy raw books but some stores sell the main keys raw but claim a certain grade so I would like to know tips to look for when determining condition and a fair price for them. Will look into the book you shared. Thank you!
Why didn’t you press those posters before putting them up? 😂 Awesome video! Always helpful and I really enjoyed the history of comics in that book too!
Interesting to see you go over that Mark Jewelers Iron Fist and the Avengers Annual 10. The Iron Fist with the staining/tanning on the back, the corner dings and the spin ticks I can't see it getting more than a 7.5 and I think a 7.0 is more likely. And the 1st Rogue with the tear and small stains I don't see it getting more than an 8.0. I'm interested to see what they come back as. RE: the staple tear you have in a 9.8 - "known defect in that book" is the key phrase. If more than 25% of the print run has a specific defect then CGC will not hit you for it. So it's not about it being a staple tear in a 9.8, it's about it being a "known defect". If less than 25% but still a "known defect" they'll hit you for it, but not that much. Not sure if they put "known defect" somewhere in the book or not but it's not a contradiction. CGC has always applied that to grading.
That CGC Guide is very flawed but it is an absolute must to own. Post-upload did you find any issues with any of the interiors? I feel the pain about realizing a tear or crease at the very end of an assessment. That can be brutal.
Fantastic video! I feel much better about my own, self-taught, unprofessional grading eye. I would have graded those books exactly at what you graded them. The only thing I wasn't aware of is that the cover indentation on that Todd McFarlane Batman comic won't come out with a press. I would have lost out on that one thinking that could be removed. Thank you so much for creating this awesome content!
Hey Bry I just got my copy of the official guide book. Thanks for the heads up on this book it's great bro. I'm still going to need you help bro in what to send out
Interesting video. At about the 19-minute mark you mention the most common modern book issue which is spine color rub. I was surprised when you said it could still get a 9.8, because I have gotten several books back from CGC which were 9.6. or 9.4 and the only issue was the spine rub. Because I did not get grader notes I can't be sure, but that is the only issue I could see.
Be very careful with humidity / pressing mark jewelers as they have a envelope with adhesive that the humidity will activate and the pages will stick together
If graders were giving a pop quiz on information from this book, how many people do you think would fail and what is the average from all the employees at cgc do you think. Wish they would have something like that and then have top performers work on the grails were .5 difference is big $$$
Loved the CGC grading system tutorial and how you decorated the new shop's wall. Tag your Whatnot stream already. Hope I buy or win something during the show?🤞😉
So if you had lightly pressed The Boys could you maybe get a 9.9 or a 10? And the recessed staple could you release a bit of the pressure on it to make sure it wouldn’t pop through the cover, or would they catch that and call it restored?!?
That's great info! I feel like CGC definitely grades a book way more harshly if the book has reader damages such as a dog-eared corner and less likely to be as hard on books with general wear.
I still have my press new in the box. I wanted to achieve a skill. It really is. And it's going to be a lot of labor. It's really going to take some patience. I'll be ready soon.
Just bought an ASM #129 CGC 6.0 off Ebay. There is a lot of dirt and defects that could be pressed out. Gonna do a CPR for sure. Knowing how to grade is a great way to determine what CGC books make good CPR candidates.

Great video Bryan! Thanks for doing this with me! I hope we catch a grader on a good day lol.

Thanks Bry! These videos are great! I would love to see a similar video with more low grade books.
Nice to get others take on this and see different perspectives. Thanks for another great video man and to see you cracking those top ten lists!! Well earned man!
Thanks for stepping us through the process!
Well that certainly helped me out on some questions I had
Great thips thanks for sharing!
Very nice video. Will look forward to see how closely the final grades square up with your assessments.
It is very cool of you to put these kinds of instructional videos on subjects that we all come across in our hobby.
This is super helpful! Thanks! I love the transparency.
Great video! Very insightful !
Actually just submitted to CGC for the first time ever for the Jason Fabok and Brad Anderson signing after following your tutorials on what to do! Your videos are always super helpful 👍
That is awesome!
Pretty interesting to learn the nuances of the various grades
A really great video walking through so many things to look for 👍
Thanks for the instructional/ informative video. Really helpful. Those are some great books as well.
Great Video, looking to send some books in for grading for the first time. This was very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Ya got me picking out some comics and checking them out now! trying to figure out what grade they could be. lol. Another great video. Thank you
Great video and will def help a lot of us out there! Planning on getting my Avengers 1, Hulk 181, ASM 129 cleaned, pressed, and regraded soon.
Thanks for the class - nice job
Learned so much watching your videos, thank you for the great info
Very insightful, love these videos. I might consider getting one of those guides.

So informative! Love it man! Keep the videos rolling!!
Thx for the help with grading process Bry it does help a lot.
Great video! I appreciate you going over these books and explaining the terms for the different kinds of damage and how it can change the grade. BTW, "indicia" wow you taught me a little something extra today!
Lol!
These books are in really nice shape. Cool! Good luck with your CGC-ing.

Good info on grading I'll have to pick up that CGC book
Thanks. This is a useful guide. Where can I purchase a copy of the guidebook you were referring to?
Thanks Bry! Very informative vid.😊
Great books. Thanks for the info
Thanks for the lesson professor. I’ll take them all 😜. Keep grinding bro!✌️
Great video Bry, very helpful.
Really helpful and great content thanks!
This was a great idea! Thanks for putting in the work.
Wow, that was a lot of info brother, thank you!
Fantastic tutorial. Grading is as much an art as it is a science. Great selection of books. Can’t wait to see how they come back.
Really enjoy your content. A lot of your videos have been really helpful 🙂
Thanks for another informative video. I’m looking forward to the Friday show.
Very helpful and interesting video!
Always good info for gradins. ❤
Your slab shows are fire!
Very helpful Bry!
I’ve always wanted to try and do my own pressing. I’ve done some cleaning in the 20 year’s collecting. I just put my trust in others.
New to this. Thank you for the help
Nice collection you got there.

Great books, great video! Thanks!
Great information about grading… interested to see actual grades
Another fantastic video dude!

I didn’t spend too much time with the interiors…
Thanks for the video!
Gonna use this before I send my next batch to CGC! Thanks!
Great tips
Killing it, Bry

What scanners would you recommend using to scan comic books and does any scanner do grading has the scanner software grading CGC guidelines?

great comics bry!

Sweet video bry
Great info
Nice video. What a variety of books. That tear in Avengers annual will take it down to a 8.5 in my opinion. We will see in the return video.
Which is a good affordable site to get information on comics prices?
That's great info! I feel like CGC definitely grades a book way more harshly if the book has reader damages such as a dog-eared corner and less likely to be as hard on books with general wear.
Great video.
Nice good looking ASM #129 👍✔️😉
Sounds to me like the grading is way too subjective.
I still have my press new in the box. I wanted to achieve a skill. It really is. And it's going to be a lot of labor. It's really going to take some patience. I'll be ready soon.
Did you ever follow up with what these books got?
Interested to see the results
You don't have an ebay store anymore? the link does not work.
I think I do I just never use it. Everything’s available on my website 👍
More great content
B-b-b-b-banger!!!!
13:31 Inception.
And then CGC will give a lower grade and disappoint all of us LOL
If u stop selling books you might have a new career……u seem more competent then most graders!! I think you have to be calm to grade books correctly.
ASome nice books though those would be sleling books to me, not for my pc.
Do you think we as a community are grading way too many ultra modern books
It's way to subjective needs more structure and formality.
That avenger’s annual was heart dropping sad. It looked so good until the end. So sorry
