Which is funny because you can play it off as the first 5 nights are cool gameplay with some lore if you look for it, and a 6th night dumps a bunch more, and then 7th is custom night (sound familiar?)

This may be one of the rare instances where a recent video of someone's first experience with FNAF is genuine. Dan is consistently unperturbed by hot trends and it's delightful to watch his initial exposures unfold.
Yes, same when they streamed Undertale, Dan’s genuine reactions to the story and characters was absolutely delightful. Best part that he wasn’t tainted by the fanbase’s frankly absurd tendency to backseat game either.
I played FNAF for the first time only days before this by coincidence. I knew enough to not be too scared but still unsettled. But I used to watch Markiplier so knew where they came from and stuff

@@deen7530 That gave me flashbacks to my proposal for a FNAF multiplayer game. You got the Guard (Default gameplay), Animatronics (Kill the guard to win and the following party), and the Robbers (Nab as many objects as you can throughout the night until you reach the cash limit). The guard can catch the robbers on camera and have them jailed for an hour while the animatronics come for them both. This was also during the period where a free roaming FNAF sequel was getting tossed around so I decided to throw my hat into the ring😅
Tbf the people in charge of hiring the night guard in FNAF 1 probably don’t know they’re out for blood like the guy that hires you in FNAF 6. They probably know there’s something hinky goin on (what with the bite of 87 and all) but not straight up haunted
I actually really love this video. It's so rare to see people who don't know wtf they're doing playing this game or playing it mostly blind. It's like going back to 2014 when this game was new and there was all kinds of misinformation going on about which animatronic does what and when, and nobody was quite used to the atmospheric scares as they are today.

Foxy doesn’t actually care if your camera is on him, if the camera is up he won’t move. So it’s not exactly incorrect or sabotaging information.

@@Meowzipan Actually, it is incorrect since he doesn't get angry if you look at him and can be considered sabotage since not looking at him prevents you from keeping track of his current state. That can be deadly as we saw at the end.

The fact that Dan got the "It's me" flashing screen gave me flashbacks to the days I'd build little theories with my friends. My god
yeah, this beginner's feel of this run brings back so much, RNG gold on this run.
This really is Dan's nightmare - it's that moment in a horror movie when you know something's gonna fly out of the darkness and kill someone, and they took that tension and stretched it out into 6-hour increments over most of a week.

When I watched other TH-camrs play this the first time, I never got a sense of drawn-out quiet dread. When I played it myself I had such a different experience than I was expecting. Dan playing this and just quietly sitting and dreading about being "hunted" is a much better portrayal of how it feels to just sit and be afraid.

I tried playing Freddy's Pizzeria Simulator because it was free and I can't get past the second night, I get way too scared and quit the game 😭

The exact mechanic for Foxy is, you can look at him. He doesn't get mad if you look at him. Phone Guy is a little confusing in his wording, but you just have to use the cameras, and it keeps him at bay, no matter what camera you're on.

You're supposed to strike a balance when watching Foxy. You have to watch him, not too much, but not too little either.
