Hi nice job, From your description, you do nit grease the hub before inserting both races at all? You only grease after both races are pressed? What would be better flat head or rounded punch set and what size... Thanks much....
Hi, was your wheel bearing kit OEM from Mercedes or was ot aftermarket? As my sec has ABS sensor. I was wondering if aftermarket wheel bearings will make the ABS light come one 🤔
Hi Martin - can you confirm the Febi Bilstein part number please? I see there are wheel bearing kits that cover all of W116, W123 & W126 up to 1985 with no ABS and different kit for W126 post-1985 with ABS, but can't see any specific number for post-1985. Mine is also 1989 560 SEC with ABS. The original bearing kit OEM ref in the EPC is A 126 330 00 51 and I think this links with Febi Bilstein 05580 (bearing only) & 08839 (full kit)?

I used Febi Bilstein bearings and have had no problems with the ABS.
