- Dean Winchester is a good man. He's just been through a lot.
In this video I just wanted to show his life. What he went through, who he lost. How much he hates himself. Dean is the best character on a tv show I know. He's so damaged and broken, but he still manages to soldier on and to make jokes and to be a jerk.

I just want to let you know that I have read all your comments and I am suprised by how many people recognize themselves in Dean. I do, sometimes, also recognize myself in him. It's good to know there are more. But I also feel sad there are so many people who are hurting, who are going through rough times. I just want to let you guys know I understand how hard life can be, whether it's something that is happening to you or just your own mind, I understand how hard it is. And it makes me feel good that so many of you, including me, can find comfort in this amazing character, in this amazing tv show. I just wanna let everyone who is struggling know that you are so brave. You are so brave for being here and for not giving up. I know it's hard and life gets you down so many times. But know that there are good times coming. Maybe it doesn't feel like it right now, but a new day will come and you will get up and you will find yourself in a better place than the one you are in right now.

Eleanor Winter I relate to Dean so much cause ever since 2008 I've lost family friends every year to now. Some were very close and hurt so bad I didn't wanna live and some just hurt.. the anger he has smashing his car after John dies I've had that. I'm lost and idk what to do. I cry every time I watch this video.

Captain Spaulding I'm trying but like Dean I'm in a dark place with no sign of the light. Losing my mom and recently my wife it just left a hole so deep I now know why ppl say death changes ppl. Cause I changed. I can't watch any show from a marvel or DC to supernatural without crying. But because of this show I won't stop fighting. They're my inspiration.

Heather Marie you don’t know me I am really depressed. My brother died my favorite cousin died also my best friend died when I was with her . She overdosed I tried calling her a ambulance but she died before they got to her. She left behind her son. I’m so lost right now .

I feel like Dean is the most tragic character from any tv show I have ever seen in that he only gets flashing moments or small glimpses of happiness. He doesn't care about himself and constantly puts others first only to be abandoned by those he loves. Over the years of being put down and having it be obvious he wasn't as important to his dad as Sam was, he truly sees himself as unworthy and truly has come to hate himself. Most beautifully heartbreaking characters I have ever seen.

Edit: I never thought that this comment will get so many likes. But the responses break my heart, you are loved, you are brave, you are a fighter, and you will do something great. I am graduating Uni in December and I want you to know that it gets better, it might not happen in a day and night, but it will get better. Some days will be very hard and you would want to give up, and when that happen, remember how far you've come. As supernatural comes to an end in a couple of months, I am very grateful that I was raised watching this amazing show. It's a big part of my life, I met amazing people through our mutual love for the show, cast and crew. I think we will all miss supernatural

Dean is me. We hate ourself and think so little about ourselves. We feel so damn helpless when we fail to save the ones we love. We fight and fight and fight, because that’s the only thing that sort of relieves the pain and anger. He fights demons and other creatures, I fight in the military. We drink constantly and bottle up our emotions. Because that’s how we cope. We run from it all till we can’t run, then we blow up in a rage. Then we do it all again

Dean is the best character, he has gone through the worst out of everyone, he lost his mom and his dad, he had to kill his bestfriend benny and he had to make the girl he loves forgot about him they have all been through so much but he has been through the most, it breaks my heart because he hates himself so much for it because he blames himself for everything that has happened

Dean Winchester is the best person I know. He cares, thinks other people than himself. He loves his brother more than anything .He protects his brother more than he could protect himself. He thinks Sammy more than he could think himself. He thinks Sammy's life first . He never had a chance to be a normal person. But he tried to make it for his brother.He could be a jerk but it doesn't change the fact that he is a good man.

We are all like dean, we are all brave and strong hunters just like him; and who knows, maybe there’s actually some dark entity behind the pain of this world, so let’s not give up never, and let’s hunt this piece of shit that’s behind all the hurt of this planet. The line "When's the last time you watched a sunset without waiting for something to go bump in the night?" always gets me because I can't think of the last time I did something for myself without fearing what could go wrong. I truly relate to Dean so much it hurts

I find it terrifying how much of myself I see in Dean. Yeah, I don’t go around the country killing monsters, and both of my parents are alive and well, and I haven’t died yet, but I see so much of myself in him emotion wise. We’re both unavailable, we’re both miserable, we’re both confused, we both have to put a strong confident face for the ones we love, we both have a hell going on 24/7 in our heads, we both have anger problems, and we both need to ask for help.
I dont hunt monsters but my parents are gone and Ive been close enough to death to have last rights read for me, so theres that.Yeah, you arent alone. A lot of us see ourselves in Dean. Ask for the help, the world wont fall apart and if the person you ask doesnt help youll know not to ask them again.

Dean is a hell of a character. his flashes of happiness shattered by the reality that is his existence. reminding him always to strap himself up and move on.
An important thing to catch is whenever Dean talks about anything positive happening to those that he loves he never mentions himself. Ever. He never asks "What about me, dad?" At the grave, only what asling what he's supposed to do so that others can be happy or walk away living.
A good friend of mine sent me this, before he killed himself. The pain is unbearable at times. I just wish for him, that he gets the love now, he so desperately needs. I will never forget you. With love R.L.O.

Same but the later seasons are just as good this show is one of the few shows who has 15seasons and has consistently been good and has stayed original and stuck to their script and story most shows fall apart after 6-7 seasons but SPN has been so good for so long season 10 was one of my favorites ackles deserves a award dude is a phenomenal actor he truly brings out who dean winchester is

He's just so broken and I just want him to be happy and love himself. His self-worthlessness just breaks my heart every time. I've spent many a tears on Dean Winchester. Honestly if Dean was ever a real person or if I was in the show. I would protect him no matter what. I’ll even die for him because he’s worth it. That goes for Sam too. Dean is such an underrated character, he deserves so much. He doesn’t deserve pain, he deserves happiness and love. But if you think about it, Dean is the most strongest person or character you know. No matter how much crap he’s going through he stayed strong. No matter how many times he wanted to give up. He still stayed strong. If dean didn’t go through all of that pain he wouldn’t be the same person today. This video has proved that Dean is unbelievably pure goodness full of emotions, full of life. I don’t regret becoming emotionally attached to him because he helped me; the SHOW helped me. If I’m ever having a bad day, or if I’m thinking about doing something that I will regret deeply. All I do is go on Netflix, press the title supernatural pick a season and watch my favorite episode. It works every time. If this show were ever going to end which it will eventually (sadly) . Dean Winchester will always be remembered in my heart. Along with Sam, Cas, Bobby + many more.

I can't begin to explain, what this show has done for me. I've lost so much. Been through so much. I love Sam and Dean both, but if I had to identify with one...I'd say it's Dean. More times than I can count, I've asked myself, "what am I supposed to do?"

One favorite character and best dean winchester video and ive seen over hundreds. I relate to his character so much.
My best friend whom was my absolute soulmate died almost 2 years ago and he was a bad alcoholic. Drank morning and night. Once in a long while, he was able to go sober for a month or two and he was strong for it. But once he gave in again, he couldn't stop. His body could not handle it anymore over the years. I was there for him in his last few years and I got to know him on a deep personal level. He was extremely depressed and showed me this video and other videos not too long before he died. He said that he WAS dean and that he feels the same way his character does. His name was Dawson and he had a rough past. He was one of the smartest people I have ever known, despite his addiction. RIP, brother.

I feel like I'm addicted to this show. When I first saw Dean, it was like I saw myself. I keep coming back every day becouse I feel like he's the only person who can understand me right now. And I love his character so much. But still I can't love myself. Sad.

Jensen ha proved his acting skills with this role, how much he hates himself even when he's being cocky, how much self-doubt and sadness he goes through, how much he hates drinking yet cant stop because of his problems, how much anger he holds inside if him because of his dad and job, everything. He continues to show what an amazing actor he is.
The "he" im mentioning is Dean, just to clarify. Not jensen.
I know he’s fictional but every time I see him in pain I want to hop through the screen and tell him that he matters and that it might not always feel okay, but it will be. I want to tell him that he’s not just a grunt and that thousand of people care about him. And I want to hug him and tell him that I hope his pain eases soon.

When Dean attacks the trunk of the Impala in Season Two I’ve never felt so much emotion from a tv show or movie. JA is an amazing actor to bring Dean to life like he does. Small moments, gestures, thoughts that cross his face come through to the viewer. I think that character is the real success of the show. If such a broken soul can battle his demons, then every broken person watching can battle theirs!
Supernaturals will have a special place in my heart. That much is true.
