This is exactly why I ignore the actual ending of the show. He has been through so much and he deserves all the happiness in the world. I believe that he finally got it, that he celebrated his birthday surrounded by his family (and friends, but that's the same thing). Thank you for this beautiful video! It reminded me of how much I wanna hug him and tell him that he's loved.

I actually see it as he finally gets to rest. Family life was never for Dean. He wanted it, but knew he would always be a hunter at heart. So I see he finally getting his rest. The heaven he deserves and that was the best ending for him I think.

Dean as a character means a lot to me. I connect with him on a deep level. I have said the words “I don’t matter” before. I always keep fighting, cause I don’t like to give up, and I’m stubborn as heck.
Side note: I just want to give Dean a hug when he cries.

Dean was never going to get a happy ending in this life. (I figured that out in season two). His reward was always going to be in the afterlife.
Dean is truly is one of the most broken character I've seen in a show, he went through so much and yet still always tried to do the "right thing", even at the cost of himself.
I'll never forgive the writers for giving him that shitass ending: he deserved proper closure and to be finally at peace, surrounded with his family and friends.
It‘s so sad to know, that today is his birthday, which he can‘t celebrate with all his loved ones on earth anymore… But now he‘s in heaven and happy, probably eating a piece of pie and driving baby.
Dean Winchester is probably the only character that changed me and my perspective on things. He built this huge wall around him, that should show everybody how strong he is, but this wall falls apart and we get to see the actual Dean. The Dean, who is vulnerable and broken and unhappy in so many ways. Who would give everything for a perfect family, even though they betrayed him. The Dean, who can‘t talk about his feelings and expresses them with anger. The Dean, who could never share his love.
But still, he survived unbelievable things and saved many people. He met people, who accepted him the way he is, and loved him unconditionally.
I hope he‘s finally happy, because he deserves it!

A Masterpiece
This show needed a happy ending but not on heaven s garden!I dont like how writters ended it .they should have a sequel!
I love SPN but everytime i rewatch the show i skip the last season, not because it’s bad but simply because i think Dean, Cas deserved so much better and happiness and I understand why they ended it that way and i don’t hate it, i just think Dean and Cas surviving is what they deserve and I don’t mean as a couple “i love Dastiel” but as people. ESPECIALLY Dean! He deserves happiness and i still think he’s one of the best characters in TV and one of the complicated too... i love him!
Like rewatching SPN and seeing how we started the show with him being this goofy and funny guy and with time seeing the mask he kept on slip off and the sad part once his mask slipped, he was never able to put it back on no matter how hard he tried. Like people say he changed in the last 5 or so seasons but I personally don’t think he changed but more like his true self he kept inside for years started to come to the surface. Like i said COMPLICATED and he deserved happiness!
But again the ending was not bad tbh because as much i wanted happiness for him and i think it would’ve made a better ending, i always saw the signs of death on Dean since S2 and i knew one day his story will end like this and he'll never find true happiness, but i just skip the season because it’s genuinely hard to watch despite knowing why it happened.

I don't think that I loved and cared for a character that much in my entire life , dean deserved so much better than what he got 😢 even Jensen said that it took a lot to convince him with Dean's ending , I never forgive them for that , I know that for people who are not a part of the fandom that this might sound crazy , but I will never make amends with that final episode , I can't believe that they baited us with him and cas possibility and then taking away seconds after he confesses , I don't care if dean is gay or bi or pan or straight and give a damn I only wanted him to be happy with person that loved him the most ( fiy : angels are genderless)
