Yes, and I agree. I realized the side of me that wanted to be a perfectionist and hard on myself came from my mother and I then reflected it on others in a relationship. You guys communicate so well. I’m on year 2 rn, and we’re still working on it. Year 1 was pretty bad tho. We’re 2 completely different ppl when it comes to certain things and it’s sometimes a struggle.. My bf is the same way when it comes to not being vocal or being more open. I’m the one who looks very deep into situations and he’s very non chalant sometimes. We’ve both kind of had the same childhood when it comes to our parents not being affectionate to us and other things, but I’ve learned to be more vulnerable, maybe way too much lol, and he hasn’t. We all say the same damn thing just in different languages. 3rd Every relationship (bff parents siblings romantic) has these 2 in some variation The GOOD one: person who has always been right. They were never critiqued cuz they were so good at everything. This person usually seems self centered and self righteous but they honestly dont know. So it hard for them to see their flaws and accept mediocrity cuz all their life they were right and believe they know everything. The Bad one: the person who is use to criticism so they know they're not perfect but may feel unworthy cuz they are always being corrected. Usually feels like they can never do enough and tend to close off and seem like they don't care but theyre just hurt and confused.

But im working on that I learned that I need to write out my frustration first then talk to him cause writing my feelings out genuinely helps me calm down or talking to someone .

I’m new to your channel, and I have literally been binge watching all of your vids. I do absolutely agree with Josh. Have you ever heard the saying that you get more flys with honey? Men are no exception. We want the love, attention and adoration. Men want respect, and gratitude. Think of it this way, the more that we show love, respect, and gratitude to them over the little things, the more they want to shower us with all of the love, attention, and adoration that we desire. It’s reciprocity. Think about it. My mama used to say this, what we won’t do, another woman is just laying in wait to take your spot. Pick and choose your battles.

3rd Every relationship (bff parents siblings romantic) has these 2 in some variation
The GOOD one: person who has always been right. They were never critiqued cuz they were so good at everything. This person usually seems self centered and self righteous but they honestly dont know. So it hard for them to see their flaws and accept mediocrity cuz all their life they were right and believe they know everything.
The Bad one: the person who is use to criticism so they know they're not perfect but may feel unworthy cuz they are always being corrected. Usually feels like they can never do enough and tend to close off and seem like they don't care but theyre just hurt and confused.
