God loves you and he has a great plan for you life. If you were to do die this very second are you sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that you would go to heaven? If not you can say a quick prayer at the end of this message to make sure but first let me quickly share with you what the Holy Bible reads. It reads "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". It also reads "for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". And we are all whosoevers. If you would like to receive the gift God has for you today say this prayer real quick with your heart and lips out loud. Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart, forgive me of my sins. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus thank you that you died for me, I believe you are risen from the dead, and that your coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for God and a Holy Boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm saved, I'm born again, I'm forgiven and I'm on my way to heaven because I have Jesus in my heart. Amen! If you just said the prayer then that means that God has forgave and forgot all your sins through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and you are now a child of God, welcome to the family. Always remember to run to God and not from him like children to their father because he loves you and has a great plan for your life. Like this comment if you said the prayer. If you have any prayer request please dm me I'd be happy to pray with and for you. God bless you and have a great day.

Hey Mike, I know it's been five years since you first released this video, and a lot of scientific information has changed. If you find the time, you might want to record an updated version. I took the liberty of helping out with a common misconception regarding how the body behaves in vacuum. Much respect to you and your team because, after finding this channel recently, I'm still trying to unpack all your videos because they are all so fascinating! I can't believe how many you've put out over the years.
12:57 it's an urban legend (spurred on by Hollywood that the body would "pop" (or explode) "like a balloon in a vacuum" This would only be true if we *were* balloons, large, single-chamber bags under pressure. The tightness of our skin prevents this from happening.
"Animal experiments and human accidents have shown that people can likely survive exposure to vacuum conditions for at least a couple of minutes. Not that you would remain conscious long enough to rescue yourself, but if your predicament was accidental, there could be time for fellow crew members to rescue and repressurize you with few ill effects." ~ Scientific American
    *** By Anna Gosline on February 14, 2008 ***
However, there would be very unpleasant effects to your body in vacuum, although you would only experience about 15 seconds of it before you fell unconscious; for instance, the mammalian body expels gas from the bowels and stomach, and projectile vomiting occurs as well as defecation and urination. Naturally, bubbles of nitrogen can form in the blood.
The eyes would get small hemorrhages, known as petechiae, which would lead to the whites of ones eyes become blood red that looks very similar to having a severe black-eye, and the whites would take some time before the blood (eyeball bruising?) is fully removed, if indeed all of it comes out. The saliva on one's tongue simultaneously boils and freezes and the tongue becomes hugely swollen while this occurs. Apparently, the sense of taste is affected, preventing any ability to taste *any* kind of food, spicy or bland, and it can take some time to recover that ability.

The same with what will happen next, the question you can ask is how it originated and how it will end. For the second part, nope, it's not even remotely possible

You had everything right, except for the Big Rip. The one where everything expands forever, where gravity loses all meaning? That's the Big Freeze. The Big Rip is another possibility, where the entire universe would literally tear itself a new one, wiping us all out in the span of less than a nanosecond. We wouldn't feel it, it would be over before we knew it. Then, the universe could start anew, with possibly new laws of physics.

The spookiest part is the lack of communication these places will have. On Mars, when we colonise it, it's likely we'll have a separate internet on both planets, and you have to download stuff in bulk if you want it from earth net. Imagine that, but instead of minutes of lag, it's years.

1/3 people that went to space died in the last century. We clearly are willing to risk lives in order to further the species.
We're sending people to Mars to live indefinitely there. What's the difference between them dying there, on a planet, and dying in a colony ship? Heck, the people you send on the colony ship will die. that's the point. Then their kids or grandkids land on the new planet.

    • @mrgoldfish7452

It depends on what you're referring to. I think, if a magnetar got close enough to a black hole, it would just orbit with no harm done at all. If it got closer, say, the event horizon, all hope would be lost for the magnetar and it would be crushed to death and probably added to the immense gravitational force of the black hole. Also, we can't see black holes but we can probably see magnetars so I'm more scared of black holes.

    • @AmberMetallicScorpion
      @AmberMetallicScorpion 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@krusenator123 well, put it this way. The Christian god is claimed to have made the universe in 7 days (technically 6 because he rested on day 7) which is stupid when you consider how time works. Humans created the concept of time based on day/night cycles and since neither existed by the end of day 1, day 1 couldn't have ended until the concept of time was created by humans. Second of all. We have plenty of evidence that the universe expanded from an infinitely small point (calling it the big bang and saying there was nothing before it is wrong, the big bang implies an explosion when the event was just expansion) but we have zero evidence for the Christian god. We also know they couldn't logically exist because they are described as omnipotent, omnibenevolent, omniscient and omnipresent. Omnipotence doesn't exist because it creates paradoxes. Say I ask god to create a rock that even he can't lift. If he can he's not omnipotent, if he can't, he's not omnipotent. He's not omnibenevolent because otherwise he would never allow for hell to exist, nor send people there for not worshipping him, especially when every dictator that wanted that was lonely. He is not omniscient because it is impossible to have all knowledge, I would explain why but I can be terrible with explanations. And if he really was omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient he would want to save us, he would know how to save us and he would have the power to save us. Quite frankly the Greek and Roman gods make more sense and are harder to disprove than the Christian god. Thank you for coming to my TED talk

All it is made up of is a phosphate group, a deoxyribose sugar, and a nitrogenous base, of which there are 4 different bases. I'm pretty sure the only elements that make these up are phosphorus, hydrogen, carbon and oxygen. The complexity of it comes from the millions upon millions of different orders of said bases :)

We aren’t alone. We’ll understand how all of this works in the next life. God made us not know this stuff on purpose. Have faith

Space IS terrifying and amazing. It can take away our lives just like it has given us life. Space is our God

*Fun Fact:* The nearest star is actually a star system comprising 3 stars: Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and Proxima. Proxima is actually the closest to us but it's a small red dwarf and the light reaching us from it is too faint to see without a telescope.
If you see Alpha Centauri A and B called Rigel Kentaurus A and B. That's because that is its actual name.

Mike, your lists rock! Glad you put these up for all of us to see. I especially enjoyed this since I'm a space nut.
