I was never stupid..and when I volunteered for the army, my test scores were high, and they asked me if I wanted to go to OCS..which is Officer Candidate School..but looking back, if I had gone that route, I would never have had this adventure..being in charge of a warehouse full of food..or on the US Army rifle team.. or been the batallion AMMO NCO..in charge of all ammunition..to include plastique explosive, tank rounds, grenades and all the small caliber ammunition..never rappelled off mountains or regularly been in choppers..or led daylight patrols in the DMZ in Korea..or been tickles enough to go under the wire to scrape paint from the North Korean side of the sign..or scooped up sand from over there..never been able to talk in front of 500 people with a microphone..every week..for me, it was a 20 year adventure…training in the deep woods with critters and streams..3 out f 4 weeks a month…I could have taken the easer road..but I probably wouldn’t be here telling you old war stories…and this is probably as close as well ever get..but such is life…
I actually checked off one item from my bucket list I raised a baby squirrel 🐿️ And it was definitely something that was such a memorable and emotional thing Her name was Lacey I got her when she was about 3 weeks old Bottle fed her every 2 hours for about a week then every 4 then every 6 Her eyes opened when she was almost 6 weeks old And what an amazing thing to be a part of, and the hardest thing to let go of back into the wild But she comes and visits me every now and then and still knows me Precious

Hello Lizette and Ms. Snow! I’m just catching up on your videos as I’ve. Even away for the past month or so. The opening is so peaceful. You look so pretty in your dress. Ms. Snow is a beautiful girl and always on the lookout for you wherever you are in or outdoors. Lilly Rose does the same. Your strawberries looked amazing. Loved the fireside vies. So much peace at that time of day. There are times when I am not asleep at 2-3 am and I’ll take my dog out to potty and stay out sometimes looking at the sky, the moon, stars and it’s always a treat to hear birds flying overhead on their way to parts only they know where they are going. I love how dogs can just sit and observe and listen. Wish we had more people like that nowadays. Pre-Dawn is always amazing. I love hearing that first bird chirp. Then they all start sounding off. I don't think those squirrels were fighting, just playing. Plenty of food for everyone, as evident at the end of the clip.
You spend all winter looking at your fire in your stove, watching through the glass, BUT there's something about those wild, barely tamed fires ringed by stones. Wonderful!

So many good people far and wide love your videos..and yes, they have a soothing effect..but so do you..some love your videos and you…and no one can say that’s not long distance love..❤️ maybe love is in the spring air or maybe it was there all the time..people write about it, they sing about it..and most of us feel it..loving nature is all well and good, but the last thoughts we have when we pass on are usually the loved ones..we have, the ones we once had and even the ones that came close…and somewhere in the mix…is the real thing…the one who is, or the one who got away, or might have been…and when we are captured in war, it is those thoughts, those memories that keep us going and bring us back..but I do believe…remembering you would bring me back..I admit, I got out without a scratch..but I have seen ..what I can’t talk about..be well..stay safe..and I’ll catch up next time..

Miss Snow always alerts me when something is lurking nearby… I know that bears are super quiet but when she got a whiff of the bear, she just went beserk. Good morning young lady and ms.Snow, i had a visitor as well this morning. I call her Ruby,shes a pregnant elk....major pregnant,shes the first of the season to show up this spring. My place here in montana is an annual calving grounds. My boy cozmo,my four legged son lets me know whats going on outside before i walk out into what could be a dangerous situation. Thank god for our four legged fur buds. I want to say the footage of your squirrels playing is some of the best ive seen. Im a former park ranger and love all thats wild and free including folks with respect for nature. Have a wonderful week sweet ladies.

I love how dogs can just sit and observe and listen. Wish we had more people like that nowadays. Pre-Dawn is always amazing. I love hearing that first bird chirp. Then they all start sounding off. I don't think those squirrels were fighting, just playing. Plenty of food for everyone, as evident at the end of the clip.
You spend all winter looking at your fire in your stove, watching through the glass, BUT there's something about those wild, barely tamed fires ringed by stones. Wonderful!

So many good people far and wide love your videos..and yes, they have a soothing effect..but so do you..some love your videos and you…and no one can say that’s not long distance love..❤️ maybe love is in the spring air or maybe it was there all the time..people write about it, they sing about it..and most of us feel it..loving nature is all well and good, but the last thoughts we have when we pass on are usually the loved ones..we have, the ones we once had and even the ones that came close…and somewhere in the mix…is the real thing…the one who is, or the one who got away, or might have been…and when we are captured in war, it is those thoughts, those memories that keep us going and bring us back..but I do believe…remembering you would bring me back..I admit, I got out without a scratch..but I have seen ..what I can’t talk about..be well..stay safe..and I’ll catch up next time..

Miss Snow always alerts me when something is lurking nearby… I know that bears are super quiet but when she got a whiff of the bear, she just went beserk. Good morning young lady and ms.Snow, i had a visitor as well this morning. I call her Ruby,shes a pregnant elk....major pregnant,shes the first of the season to show up this spring. My place here in montana is an annual calving grounds. My boy cozmo,my four legged son lets me know whats going on outside before i walk out into what could be a dangerous situation. Thank god for our four legged fur buds. I want to say the footage of your squirrels playing is some of the best ive seen. Im a former park ranger and love all thats wild and free including folks with respect for nature. Have a wonderful week sweet ladies.
