It was either between the RR Spectre or the Toyota Corolla for me, but the included umbrella was way too long for my taste, so I went with the Corolla instead
If I had a 2-door Rolls-Royce I would not want to seat in the back nor in the passenger seat. I'd drive it myself but I'd not want to stop at the gas station and pump gas while strangers trying to make the same chat every time. So, the EV Rolls-Royce does make sense.
I’m a bit surprised the range isn’t better with that much battery, but it has some serious heft that isn’t helping. I’m sure I’ll just buy a 2nd one so I don’t have to wait on it to charge. 😂
Worth is relative. This is a concept most people can't comprehend due to the class where 90% of people reside. Is a 600,000 dollar car "worth" it by peasant standards? No, absolutely not, that's absurdity and anyone who does that should be tarred and feathered for wasting so much money. But if you truly are someone who money is no object to you, what do you care if a car cost 60,000 or 600,000? You go to a dealer, you test drive, you customize and you have an assistant do the paperwork and Financials. I personally think this is a phenomenal piece of modern engineering and I genuinely appreciate how basically the only thing limiting customization is regulations on safety. I wish the customization nature of this vehicle was something we could have on normal cars, as I think it would help bring down cost if we could buy base models with the 2 features you want and leave the rest base, we'd see a massive shift in the car market. Plus if we had that kind of customization, we'd see what features people actually want and what is only commonly spec'ed currently due to packages
$600K for ultra-high net worth folks is really nothing - a lot less than a new Equinox for regular folks. This is a market segment that has not really been addressed much, but since the wealth increases of the top .01% is dramatically increasing, it really needs to be.
I would agree that Rolls Royce has no competitor. If you want the best, you get the Rolls. If "value" or "money" crosses your mind in your vehicle selection, look elsewhere.
Awesome car and review. I feel like reviewers should be separated and not everyone driving everything. Main reason is going from one to another isn't fair to 99% vehicles buyers. Comparison is also unfair. Like car shows in 90s and 2000s as they review vehicles and comparing is not saying which is better as everyone tastes are different like our needs and requirements
Once upon time there were some ultraluxury Amrerican brands Pierce Arrow, Peerless, Stearns-Knight, Packard, Du Pont, Stutz, Marmon, Franklin, Kissel, Ruxton, Duesenberg, making Rolls Royce feel cheap circa 1930. In fact from 1929 to 1950ties Cadillac was way more advanced in luxury features and more expensive vs Rolls Royce.
Your last podcast talked about how you and most of us are not the demographic that buys new cars, I cant even fathom the demographic that buys THIS car
Any review of an EV should mention whether the vehicle/platform has a heat pump. Heat pumps are far more important than frunks. In fact, many EVs have frunks because they don't include heat pumps. Not having a heat pump on an EV will cut your driving range in half during the winter. It's sort of like the EV equivalent of buying a 720p flat screen in 2025. Far from state of the art in EV technology. The Spectre comes with a heat pump.
Very difficult to put myself in the shoes of someone who can afford one of these, or for that matter would want to spend $600k on any car, even if they could afford it. But since I enjoy driving, if I could afford it and justify it considering the poverty out there, I’d far rather get several other cars. If I did get a Rolls, those I’d have to get one with interior colors that don’t make me want to puke.
Years ago I predicted that as EVs became better and more accepted we would start to see a return to the giant land yachts last seen a half century ago. This is because the environmental regulations that killed the big sedans won't really apply anymore. That said, I'm not interested in getting into a car that thinks it's smarter than I am. Especially when there is a good chance that it is.
Great content, as always! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
This review is an abject failure: no review of a Rolls-Royce is complete without saying "waft" or "wafting" at least once. Tsk tsk. :) As an EV owner, If I were wealthy enough to buy a $600k car, this would be on my shopping list. Thanks for the review!
Since these cars will rarely be driven, it will take a decade or two before they offset production emissions. Ie, it makes no sense at all to buy a RR EV.
It was either between the RR Spectre or the Toyota Corolla for me, but the included umbrella was way too long for my taste, so I went with the Corolla instead
You dont have Skodas where you live?
@erorufurakku6378 USA unfortunately. And when I say unfortunately, I mean that in more ways than not just having Skoda
Alex and Nick, I can't even afford to comment on this car. 🤑🤑
I think I can just about afford the air inside it.
Me either...
@@AAutoBuyersGuide Did you see Supercar Blondie Alex's Spectre? The most gorgeous one imo

Of all the color combos...that is quite something. It's so crazy it's almost fitting.
I’m a bit surprised the range isn’t better with that much battery, but it has some serious heft that isn’t helping. I’m sure I’ll just buy a 2nd one so I don’t have to wait on it to charge. 😂
Whoever picked the exterior/interior colors should be banned from owning a vehicle and the next buyer should demand a $200k discount.
For this price, I would’ve expected OLED display panels

lol that interior is hideously awesome
Half a mil? That’s definitely not much in this economy, especially for a RR

Makes the BMW i7 look like a bargain.
I can't even afford to look at this video

This will surely be one of the quickest depreciating cars in history.
Great review as always! But that interior colors …. Very ehh the color reminds me of green poop 😂
i feel cars like this, luxury barges, should have huge 200kw battery packs. range is luxury after all.
I think the front passenger footwell could have had a foot button to close the door. It would have been a nice touch.
What's longer this or the new charger?
A bit disappointing that there’s no innovation associated with this expensive product.
Not sure RR is necessarily known for innovation, more like refinement of current technologies and practices.
I don't think it is needed. It's a great RR to begin with.
What is there to innovate?
FINALLY... A car that truly matters and fits the budget of 99.99% of Alex's audience!

$600k car on Alex on Autos before GTA6
BUT will we get a Maserati Grecale review before GTA6?
No, but we will get GTA6 before Half Life 3.
Alex: this 214 inch vehicle is big.
Große Grün (my ˋlittle‘ Sprinter): Jacob…hold my beer.
Chartreuse is the color
Are the containers loaded with Spectre's ?
I'm kind of sick of Hyundai videos, more Rolls and Bentley please!
How tall are you, to guage the car size?
Half a mil and the doors aren't soft close? For shame
How many cases of Grey Poupon come with the car?! You can buy two homes in my neighborhood for the price of that car.
For that much money you don't even get a power frunk? People go buying nonsense in the name of luxury.

30% cheaper with New Jersey tags.
Wtf is that color scheme XD My god this thing looks awful 🤣

Such an expensive car but still the seat belts are vanilla black just like in my $3k used car?

That interior is absolutely hideous
why? It's definitely not a KIA.
Because it's an EV, hopefully it doesn't depreciate 40% after 3 years
Beautiful car🥰
That's amazing. But why does it exist? 😆
why not? It has a place in the market.
Ronald McDonald ordered that interior.
Probably the most ridiculous car you have ever reviewed.

Must be nice to have such fu money that you can pick the ugliest colors for a car ever
…of the 1%. I doubt 1 in every 10,000 people can afford it.

What ? No AI robot 🤖 copilot?
cost cutting remember? There's no room for that.

Just say it! Those interior colors are vomit worthy!
If you have to ask you can’t afford it.
Worst looking Rolls ever.
Chevy equinox has smaller battery & better efficiency. Not worth 500k
in these days, most EV are not about efficiency
Since these cars will rarely be driven, it will take a decade or two before they offset production emissions. Ie, it makes no sense at all to buy a RR EV.
I'd take the Cadillac Celestiq over this
Why would you bother , electric is not and never will be the future 🤔
@@Tec2Nut you're wrong
You're right, when you think of cutting edge propulsion technology, you think of petroleum.
Nobody buy a car for the future. EV is here in 2025.
Electric vehicles make the best luxury Cruisers because they're quiet and powerful, just what you want in a luxury vehicle.
The interior color combination shows a great deal of taste 😅😅😅😅
