I never once stopped to think about the creator. When I watched them the series with just the fluffy creature looking like a horse were all they had going on, so I thought they're an innocent fan, whoever they were. I would be perfectly fine with it being an adult-owned channel, because it's also adults who draw the original show. However, the few vids where the fluffy creature is turned into an adult would make me bit suspicious even back then.

As a brony, let me inform you on just how big of name fluffle puff was. When I tell you fluffle puff was a big name back in the day. He was! They made some of the most popular videos in the fandom. I think the draw to his content was the fact they were simply, cute, and conveyed comedy without uttering a single word while also successfully imitating the shows art style. Millions and millions of views were garnered, and even though they don’t have a bajillion subscribers, pretty much every brony knew them, or knew of them. The “pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbows” was VIRAL. When that video came out, a neighbor of mine who wasn’t even a brony was watching it. So to see (arguably) the most popular brony animation of his time, be this bad of a person is a bit of a bombshell for the fandom. We’ll see what happens as the situation unfolds, but it’s not looking good for him.
Honestly, being an OG female Brony (2011), I am not surprised at this point. For one, there already is a list of the biggest deals within the Fandom that fizzled and...went down a messed up path (Digibro, Mandopony, Y2Kpony, etc). And now, despite me still being a huge fan of G4, having gone to so many cons and being an active fan for pretty much a decade of my life, the current fandom I actually stay distant from. The far right extremism has taken over the fandom....and that group is statistically more likely to do this kind of stuff (child abuse, animal abuse, domestic abuse, all this is more common statistically in red states). The fandom hasn't been in a good place for a while now (since before the pandemic, and it's gotten progressively worse). The public facing bronies who are still a big deal have all moved on and still (at the time of writing this) are good people (Saberspark, Blackgryph0n, Josh Scorcher, etc). Don't, get me wrong here, I'm not accusing everyone in the fandom to be a singular thing. I'm talking prevalence. The louder parts of the fandom. The wholesome is still there, but you have dig through bullshit to find it. These allegations have been floating around in quiet whispers for years now. Grooming takes time and during this time, the victims were vocal about what had been going on (in more of a bragging sense as teens do). It's not until they look back and realize they were harmed. The entire Fluffly Pony subgenre is a rabbit hole of...sexual degeneracy and then some.

Sometimes victims just don't see things that way and it's sad. I knew Befish (her name is pronounced 🐝🐟). I worked with her in a professional capacity in the Brony fandom at the time. I had no idea this was even going on, and while Fluffle Puff was a very respected person in that circle, I always felt... uncomfortable for some reason when he was brought up. To see an old colleague of mine reappear in a video like this after all this time is surreal... I thank God every day I got out of the fandom when I did...
As someone who’s been heavy in the con scene for three years now, it really isn’t all that bad if you have the right friends. Yes, you have some absolute knuckledraggers who do some of the most heinous, stupid shit possible, but every fandom has that. There have been some really amazing people contributing as of late and trying to redirect the fandom into a better direction and culture.
I’m a vendor at pony cons and I’ve been a vendor with her and Mike a few times… it’s a bit awkward now, I’m not sure what the future holds for them. I know a few cons are coming up (I just received my acceptance for one of them today) and I wonder what’s gonna happen now.
Sometimes women just live in denial over that to protect themselves. My husband’s grandmother got pregnant when she was 13. My husband’s grandfather was 19. It was percived differently in the old days though. My grandma married my grandpa at age 14, he was a little older, arond 18 I think. They were married over 60 years had three children, 11 grandchildren, and many great and great great grandchildren.
Grooming is still grooming if someone waits for someone to be of age. they don't need to be "dating" or have sexually assaulted them for it to equal grooming. If someone is groomed it generally means manipulated in a way that sways them in a certain direction just usually people refer to it in the sexual concept. So a good example would be the women who immediately at 18 start doing super inappropriate things such as making an only fans. They likely often times were pushed into it by people "close" to them. I do think in some cases adults can be groomed and it should be a crime. As such I'm pretty sure many times grooming of a minor is specified as that; "Grooming of a minor".

I honestly do believe these allegations. I grew up watching these MLP videos because (obviously) I was an 8 year old girl at the time. I recall him replying to my TH-cam comments expressing confusion about the lesbian couple (this was probably my first exposure to lesbians funnily enough). I just find it odd a grown man would take the time to respond to a statement very obviously made by a very young child. I think he was aware that his audience consisted of very young people
I realize how lucky I was. My brother-in-law got us all into MLP, and the fandom in particular inspired my creative streak for a few years(along with Transformers), so to look back and see how viscious some of the stuff I loved and shared with my family was behind the scenes is kinda terrifying. I also hate the "they're autistic so they didn't understand" defense. I am autistic, and I go out of my way to ensure I understand social cues regarding relationships and consent. . . Because _I_ was harrassed by fellow students, and wasn't even aware of it despite how it affected me mentally and emotionally. It was a combination of poor SexEd in our school and those troublesome social cues. I saw this a lot with the #we are with Chugga. I was trying to support both Chugga AND Lady Emily as it was clearly a really bad failure to communicate on both sides, but all I ever got to see was "well, he's autistic so it's not his fault, and Emily is the problem here," which was kind of insulting as an autistic person _and_ a harrassment victim.
It wasn't chugga's fault tho. He declared boundaries, she accepted them, and they mutually participated. Even if he wasn't autistic, I still would see nothing strange about him being confused by her ghosting him out of nowhere, because she was just being ridiculous.

The unfortunate thing about the Befish situation is that you cant convince someone that they are a victim of something. I thinm this situation has been handled beyond poorly and even if you can prove 100% of the doubt that flufflepuff did every single thing that was accused, that doesn't mean that you can use someone else's story without their permission. Especially if they are still under the influence of that person. Now it will be harder to get them away and can mess up the message and warning in the long run.

Updates: Fluffle has returned to streaming after a few months sending the statement with Befish, I investigated myself and I was super shocked and somewhat uncomfortable to just watch how they acted like nothing bad has happened. Fluffle was just 3d printing and Befish was chatting all normally, I didn’t fully watch but I think I saw a glimpse of Fluffle’s physical form where they were wearing a pink glove and it sorta looked like a man’s hand but I could be wrong. But even the chat looked pretty happy and normal when they were watching the stream, I was questioning that are they seriously ignoring the serious allegations (surely, they are allegations but they are serious ones). I just wanted to lay this out here because those who haven’t noticed that Fluffle has returned, be aware. No I do not know what happens in their community nor I really care but I’m just telling y’all.

Stop, I’m in the fluffle discord, and I’ve seen about 10-20 people looking into things, and a lot of the “accusations” don’t hold much weight and some are flat out lies. So everyone, please wait until everything is clear and factual. Some of the discord people think that the “evidence” is faked, AI, or photoshopped. And I’m inclined to believe this due to how many times people on TH-cam have been falsely accused of things.
I miss the days when "grooming" simply meant keeping oneself well kept. I knew Befish (her name is pronounced 🐝🐟). I worked with her in a professional capacity in the Brony fandom at the time. I had no idea this was even going on, and while Fluffle Puff was a very respected person in that circle, I always felt... uncomfortable for some reason when he was brought up. To see an old colleague of mine reappear in a video like this after all this time is surreal...

Grooming is still grooming if someone waits for someone to be of age. they don't need to be "dating" or have sexually assaulted them for it to equal grooming. If someone is groomed it generally means manipulated in a way that sways them in a certain direction just usually people refer to it in the sexual concept. So a good example would be the women who immediately at 18 start doing super inappropriate things such as making an only fans. They likely often times were pushed into it by people "close" to them. I do think in some cases adults can be groomed and it should be a crime. As such I'm pretty sure many times grooming of a minor is specified as that; "Grooming of a minor".

I honestly do believe these allegations. I grew up watching these MLP videos because (obviously) I was an 8 year old girl at the time. I recall him replying to my TH-cam comments expressing confusion about the lesbian couple (this was probably my first exposure to lesbians funnily enough). I realize how lucky I was. My brother-in-law got us all into MLP, and the fandom in particular inspired my creative streak for a few years(along with Transformers), so to look back and see how viscious some of the stuff I loved and shared with my family was behind the scenes is kinda terrifying.
I also hate the "they're autistic so they didn't understand" defense. I am autistic, and I go out of my way to ensure I understand social cues regarding relationships and consent. . . Because _I_ was harrassed by fellow students, and wasn't even aware of it despite how it affected me mentally and emotionally. It was a combination of poor SexEd in our school and those troublesome social cues. I saw this a lot with the #we are with Chugga. I was trying to support both Chugga AND Lady Emily as it was clearly a really bad failure to communicate on both sides, but all I ever got to see was "well, he's autistic so it's not his fault, and Emily is the problem here," which was kind of insulting as an autistic person _and_ a harrassment victim.
It wasn't chugga's fault tho. He declared boundaries, she accepted them, and they mutually participated. Even if he wasn't autistic, I still would see nothing strange about him being confused by her ghosting him out of nowhere, because she was just being ridiculous.
