I THINK it must be harder for a pretty woman to age than for someone like me who was never pretty at any stage in life. That said, I take your advice to heart and put on make up myself, and guess what? I am still not "pretty", but surprisingly, I am quite a bit more comfortable when I go out in public. Instead of trying to become wallpaper, I actually feel confident enough to speak to others or just smile at them. You wouldn't think it would have an effect on someone nearing 70, but it has and I do so much appreciate it. Thank you for so kindly sharing your scientific research for the things you needed to use with your improved skills to create the beauty that has made you happiest. Some of the most famous women weren't conventional beauties of the day. If beauty was defined at that moment as curly hair and blue eyes then she might have had red hair and freckled skin. But these women had a way about them, caring, made you feel as if you were important and you could see that they listened when you spoke. They laughed a lot, smiled mostly instead, joked, had caring souls that everyone could see. It wasn't just about the outward beauty.
I came from a very small town where you knew everything about everyone. Think Mayberry USA. We didn't judge by looks we judged by character. How kind someone was was #1.
Pretty woman ..hmmm.. Outside beauty is easy to measure. But only superficial people will measure the totality of a person by outside appearance.
My mom told me that the best make up women can put on is a smile. Do I think HotandFlashy is beautiful ?
Yes I do. Why? Because she is teaching other women to enhance their beauty on the outside if they CHOOSE to do so. I am 70 and those who know and love me ... love me because I am who I am. Who I've showed that I am for all of my years. No make up is needed around them.

I love your story. I agree with what people are saying about the word "pretty" and what it means. I think it's more important to be beautiful than pretty and it is in your spirit and how you carry yourself as well as being rare and kind. :-)

I am 57 years old. My husband and our two teenagers went away for the weekend, so in my free time I got bought a two-sided contour cream stick and tried out this video. I loved the results! But I didn't realize just how great it was until my family returned home later that day. My husband kept staring at my face, looking perplexed and puzzled. Finally, I asked what he was looking at. He said, "You! What have you done? You look ten years younger! How did you do it?"
She is 45 years maximum....mature have 55 years/60....

Lovely! I'm so glad you brought attention to the fact that contouring and highlighting are SO very different for women of mature ages because of the very fact of skin variations. Not to mention products have to change as well. Less is more for real life makeup. And I love your tricks on the placement of the contours and highlight. 👍😉 great vid. If you like the velvet, you should try the Les Beiges powder in #10 to set under eyes and shade #50 is a great mid tone to contour with. Reason being is it doesn't cake under eye and is virtually undetectable on the skin. You can set or touch up or even bronze and contour with this line. #loveChanelproducts!
I've tried so many different contours but none of them actually made my skin or face look younger until I saw your video thanks you for all your tips on contouring older skin worked really well big thumbs up from me xxx

I love this!! I am soon 30 and am already seeing changes in my skin. So I felt like I needed some advice on how to do my makeup in the upcoming years. Maybe a little early but I felt this was still so helpful! It taught me to do my makeup based on MY face and not every face should be done the same way! Thank you!
I've been looking through contouring videos for us older ladies and yours is by far, the best all around. Its do-able for the average woman. Keep it up. You Rock!
Nice light technique with blush. No racing stripes. If you get leaner 20yrs from now, you might drop the bronzer below the cheekbone. Young women have fullness there that fades over the years.

Amazing never thought to apply makeup like this I’m in my 50s and although haven’t used makeup for years my technique is based in the 1970s can’t remember never been shown contouring While it sounds a lot maybe will try some of your ideas. By the way with or without makeup you look fabulous

The other Tutorials I've seen on the same Topic, left me perplexed, wondering "Why didn't it look right!" thus causing me to put more and more on.. After watching this Video, I realized, the other Tutorials I've seen, and tried had the Steps Backwards..GerrrRuFF.. I'll be Deleting them, that's for sure. lol.. You're make up looks amazing as always. I just think it's easier to use bronzer after foundation to create depth and shadow and warmth instead of using a lot of contouring before hand

Genetics do play a part on how good you look as you get older...but healthy eating, fresh air and exercise, not smoking, good skincare regimes and a good application of make-up can be the big difference of making you look 50 when youre 80, or 80 when youre only 50!!!
P.S. noone looks like the Kardasians ...not even them, after all their botox, nips and tucks, tonnes of make-up, theres still filters and computer adjustments/enhancements to their photos.... as you've said previously Angie, even you take several photos with the best lighting and chose the best photos for your still shots....👍👍

You’re just a gorgeous woman. People can do all the youth treatments on their face that they want, but the eyes really give the age away in my opinion. Your eyes look so vibrant and bright and youthful... but also deep and mature. It’s amazing.. I’m 35 and I am already starting to notice my eyes are changing a bit. Oh well! Sigh.

Love the techniques, but there is a difference in your neck pose?, if you look at the first 2 shots your neck is very extended or something, the muscles are showing more or something, but the 3rd shot your neck is more relaxed it seems, not sure if that makes a difference, but when doing before and afters its important to have consistency with photo poses, not that it would change your beauty that is definitely there with or without makeup!

It’s said it lifts the EYE! But, it’s driving me crazy & feels unfinished without the mascara on lower lashes.

The brushes are by Makeup Junkees. They are a small company in Texas, and their brushes are excellent. Their website is www.makeupjunkunkees.com, I think. I know the junkees spelling has to be spelled like that, because there is another makeup junkies. The prices of the brushes are quite reasonable, too. I just ordered some as Christmas gifts a few weeks back. I really love mine.

I also wanted to know if you have tried the Sonic brush applicator for foundation or blush or other products on your face?

You look awesome. I shall practice now and subscribe to see if you did a powder contour tutorial. Also, my eyeshadow primer looks clumpy and dry. What is the best way to avoid crepe paper like eyes with eyeshadow and ugly forehead wrinkles because I never got botox. Those Always end up emphasized. And powder seems to make it worse too. So, I will keep watching and if anyone here can help me out on these questions I would appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm in the middle of young and old. at 33 years, I have been looking for a contouring tutorial that MADE SENSE! This is the first one I've watched (and I've watched several) that gives me confidence that I can do this!! So excited to try it out. Question: how would you handle contouring a crooked nose? I have always had a crooked nose, not sure why, but the bridge of my nose veers to the right before going straight again. I have 2 completely different looks depending on if you view me from the right (no bump) or left (bump!). Thank you!
About 30 years ago, I took a makeup artistry course at a modeling, design etc school . our makeup kit was by MAC and our instructor was a sales rep for them. So for contour I've always loved powder in taupe shadow. Any shine looks terrible on me. I have problems with my nasal labial folds (laugh lines) they are SO deep. I need help! I seem to be the only lady In the world with these deep lines . Every "mature" beauty guru doesnt have them. WTF. OR they are younger than they portray. You have very thin skin how is it you have no lines around your nose or mouth. Any suggestions?

It seems that you have to be brilliant to be able to see your flaws and then know how to fix them. Can't I just put some lipstick, eyebrows and lashes on and call it good? I love to say good enough. Now I am wondering if other women are noticing my flaws and wondering why I do not fix them.

I would most gladly buy products accessing your links, but i cannot do this, cause i live in Europe and Sephora.com, Ulta, Nordstrom ships only in US and some very few other countries. On Amazon , all the sellers i wanted to buy from, do not have international shipping. Nevertheless, the main ideas you teach are very valuable and useful, and i try to find similar products, here, in my country. I don't think powder (bye, bye pores or other mat powder shoul be used under eye, cause that area is already dehidrated and has very thin , wrinkled skin. After one or two hours the undereye circles end looking like crepe. I would like to know what undereye concelear to use if my veines are bold and blueish under the skin, and the tear trough is deep. Also, it would be useful to make a video about how to sculpt a round face , with extra fat on the lower part of the face. Not everybody has high scandinavian cheek bones and a narrow face like yours, or such a large forehead. Mabe you have a friend with a round face and make a sculpting tutorial ? :) Just a suggestion....
