    "And this one belongs to the Reds" never gets old so many great memories of old Marty on the radio calling the games

    I was at this game, I still remember the moment he hit the ball, the entire crowd erupted in cheers. One of my favorite memories of going to a Reds game.

    Was at this game man what a good memory! I feel like the crowd has never been the same since the 2012 season. There were a lot of good memories those first 10yrs at gabp even when we didn't make the playoffs there were a lot of walkoffs.

    Ryan Freel--such a sad ending for a guy who was never the best player, but always gave it his all. And Dunn? Mr. all-or-nothing got it all that night.

    Adam Dunn, the human embodiment of boom or bust 😂😂😂

      He was better than you think. The narrative was he was Dave Kingman. He went 5 years in a row hitting 40 bombs, 100 RBI, 100 walks, 100 runs scored.

    Cleveland really said "Lets fill the bases before Dunn grabs a bat"

    • @chadpeters7255
      @chadpeters7255 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not a bad strategy. You saw Dunn’s average with the bases loaded (.214). There’s a reason Brennaman wasn’t more excited when he came up. Worst clutch hitter Ive ever seen. This is the only time I can remember him coming up big like this.

      I don't. Even in '99 I hated the black incorporated into their uniforms. They're the Cincinnati REDS. Do that today and you're getting 300 million from the Dodgers.

    I gave up on this game watching from home when they were down 8-0. Came back to it just when Dunn came up. I yelled to my mom to turn the game on with Dunn up, bases loaded. Told her he's hitting one out here. And he did. Never liked George Grand's call. Loved Marty's.

    This team was a 2-8 West Coast Road Trip from being a playoff team. Every time I see the clip of Adam Wainwright striking out Brandon Inge to win the World Series, I always say, "that could've been the Reds"

    I remember watching this on tv,Dunn hit the ball out, I started yelling I was so excited, my wife and kids came running in the room thinking I was dying or something. It was an incredible finish to a game. The only way it could have been better is if it would have been against the Cardinals.

      That's how the Reds have always been unfortunately. They can outscore a team and still manage to lose the series because they are so hopelessly inconsistent.

    The Cincinnati Reds are traditioned and storied franchis.....who now find themselves in the sports franchise toilet on so many levels it nearly seems their current ownership deliverately caused it. One of their opening day parade marshalls was a former reds reliver named DannyGraves, who is notoriously famous for one flupping the crowd the bird. What could be more poignant?
