    I love it when I accept an offer that is already late when I accept it 🤦

      What happens when this happens? I took an offer but the pick up time was the exact same time as I accepted the offer. The restaurant is notoriously late getting orders out and they were absolutely packed. I assumed another driver waited and was unassigned. The customer was 1.4 miles away and the delivery by time was the time I actually received it from the restaurant. I didn't receive a violation (happened a few hours ago) but it did drop my on-time percentage.

    It’s simple doordash doesn’t want to take responsibility just like every company. They just want to blame somebody else.

    I once had a pickup from Tropical Smoothie Cafe and got there about 9 minutes late because of traffic.
    After I hit the arrived button and as the employee was handing me the order, it got reassigned.
    The next time I went there, the same employee told me another dasher didn't arrive until 30 minutes later.

    One thing I've run into is this: I will get a doordash order from a customer that lives in a rural area and it is in a place where I lose Internet connection during the delivery. I always get the delivery to the address, on time, but I can't confirm the delivery at that address. So I end up driving back to town, and as soon as I get my Internet connection back, I have to end up calling DD support letting them know that I delivered the order to the address but the app won't let me confirm because I'm not at the address. Many times the DD support actually tells me I didn't deliver the order. It is such a hassle that doesn't have to be. They insist on texting rather than calling which has put me in dangerous situations because I'm on the road driving, and there are no shoulders on these rural roads.

    stuff like this does not make you an independent contractor or a gig partner - it makes you 'a take any fault' temp worker - dd needs you as long as you take the blame from dd's shoulders - they want to look nice to customers but in reality they screw more things up than any driver ever -they act more like customers who are looking for a fault guy - and there you go - the driver is the one to take a fault - seriously? that is how we progressed in 21 century? when worker's rights are the golden measurement tape for any business as we speak?

    yea my on time went way down because i use to take stacked orders all the time and the first merchant would have the food ready and waiting i would pick it up, confirm pick up and go to next merchant and have to wait for 20 minutes on that order and when i finally do get it and confirm the pick up the previous order drop off time had already passed and it would be late and cause my on time rating to go down. but i learned something from pedro that helped me avoid that for the most part. havent gotten a lateness contract violation tho. you are not a Karen for sticking up for yourself when its justified. Karen is for people who throw a hissy fit when they ask for extra ketchup on their mcdonalds burger then when they get the burger wig out because it has extra ketchup lol. that video always makes me laugh. 10:13 i have never had this happen to me, but yesterday i delivered to a woman and she messaged me like 5 minutes later as im heading to another merchant on another order and says that she had something missing in her order and she called the merchant and the merchant said i would come pick it up and bring it to her, i laughed when i read it and typed that i am sorry bout i can't that i was on another order now. never did hear back from her. 10:48 yea monday the app got glitchy on me, wouldnt let me see my stats and would not let me decline orders, it would let me accept but not decline. so it sent me the same 3.25 for 10.7 miles 3 times in a row so i paused my dash contacted DD support and they told me to do what i had already done restart the app, which i restarted my app 3 times and restarted my cell 2 times before i contacted them, after they were no help at all i tried 1 more time, this time i got an order for 4.50 for 10.7 miles i think it was the same one but it wouldnt let me decline so after the timer ran out i ended my dash and went home. it was about to storm anyhow lol. when i first started i had to wait at apple bee's for a whole hour for an order i was not happy but it was my first week of dashing

    I had an issue with GPS taking me out of the way from my delivery and than it stopped working. It also brought me to a sketchy area. I immediately called support, told them GPS wasn't working and I wasn't sure where I was but I was driving around and if I could finish the delivery I would. After the food was delivered I received a message saying I was 10 minutes late. End of the day notification now says I was 20 minutes late and I received a contract violation even though I was on the phone with support asking for help. I disputed it, that was a month ago, violation is still there.

    DD started doing this a few years ago with the lateness policy which i think is a very DUMB thing. You have to look at the fact that traffic slow downs are going to get in the way. DD never thinks about that. Another problem is glitches in dead zones. The app thinks your closer to the resterant but in reality your not. I had a lateness violation that took a year to get rid of. Now if the resterant is more than 10 minutes away i unassign it even if its a high paying order. I unassigned large paying orders in the past because the resterant was too far away. Im getting smarter than doordash.

    If a merchant asks you to confirm pickup before you have the order, chat with support and tell them the merchant refuses to release the order unless you confirm before having it. You will get half pay (on earn per offer) or pay for your time from acceptance until Support unassigns (if earning by time). Several merchants have stopped doing this in the markets where I run because they are figuring out they'd rather get their orders picked up than not, and if one Dasher unassigns, another one might not show up right away.

    • @SansevieriaMedia
      @SansevieriaMedia 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I also wonder if they end up picking up the tab when I get half or time pay for this reason, because several merchants who still ask others to confirm don't ask me.

    Anyone know what to do when the customer contacts you via text to change the delivery address? I was almost at the delivery address when i received a message from the customer saying she put in a different delivery address when she placed the order but apparently it didnt register. She asked me to deliver it to another address 4.5 miles away and offered an additional 20 dollars. I told her I'd bring it, and she added the 20 as she said, but it dropped my on-time percentage. Is there anything i can do? Apparently, i delivered another order late but i have no idea which one. I don't dirty app and have never purposely caused a delay. I didn't even know DD provided pick up and delivery times until I looked at my ratings and saw 98%
