Hello Seamworks this is a super idea and a great give away.Thanks. As a hobbyist I am struggling to understand what skills should be mastered before going to the next stage.I think people like you should come with some well constructed syllabuses in sewing for each stage and should be tested at each stage online. Let us split sewing Syllabuses from Grade 1 to Grade 10. Grade 1 About Machine Name different parts How to thread a needle How to wind a bobbin How to set up threads for sewing. How to sew straight How to sew zigzag How to sew using various methods given in machine. How to stitch a curved line. How to stitch a button hole. How to cut strainght 1m of cloth How to pin and cut straight How to pin and cut curved lines Project Make a napkin? Give some easy projects using various skills. Pattern challenge Name the symbols. Cut a simple pattern for napkin Follow the simple pattern to make a bag. Like this give about 50 components for each grade It will make 50 x10 = 500 skills Each grade to last for 6 months Test online for each Grade. Make it as a course and you can charge $100 for each Grade with life long access for that grade. The total Grades to cost $1000 for all grades and a person can complete all the Grades in 5years as a hobbyist. There should be a pathway to complete the course in three years for the committed. All in all this course should aspire to make one an independent tailor who can be confident in doing a dress from any pattern To measure and stitch a garment To make own pattern . I will be a first to join such a course.
Fitting journal is what I need! My hips are so so wide but my waist and bust are quite small so absolutely NONE of the patterns I've made fit properly! I always end up making the project start to finish, then ripping half of it out and altering it to fit better, way too much work!
A fabulous gesture…thank you!
Thank you for such great sewing tools! The measurements and needle 🪡 guide are my faves.
Glad you like them!
Love the fitting journal. ❤ it’s helped me get a better fit. But I don’t have the needle worksheet yet. 😊

I have a new surge machine and I would like to know how to use it is a brother
Congrats on your new serger! I always start by reading my manual, and then experimenting with some inexpensive fabric. Have fun!
