My partner and I met in 2019 and fell in love. We started watching His Dark Materials. (Also a fan of the band Lightbringer) We loved the show. I come from a family of Kabbalists and my partner is a black metal musician. We poured over names for our baby, due in December, a fire sign, Sagittarius. We loved the name Seraphina (Fiery, burning angel) from the Seraphim. They are referenced by Ezekiel in the bible. We also wanted her to be Fiery, she needs that quality as a woman in this world. Once she was born and named we both started watching the last season and realized we had totally forgot Serafina Pekkala but her character had sunk so far into our subconscious that our child had been given this name. I'm certain the show influenced us. Innie.
Due to them being able to separate they got longevity? I can't remember that. I thought it just was in their biology, their indeed magical biology. Because if separation causes that, then Lyra and Will and all others that are separarted will gain longevity. I actually love the fact they gave Serafina dark hair instead of blonde. I don't know, i find darker hair or red hair more fitting for a Witch character, more mystery is added that way I guess, or fierceness with red hair :3 YES PLEASE DO A WITCH DEEP DIVE! 8D Witches were some of my favorite characters in the series, Serafina beng one of my favorite solo character, too
