This is absolutely NUTS to me because I was so severely emotionally abused by a different TH-camr in the same way you describe turned up to an 11. We couldn't have been more toxic if we tried; I told him multiple times to please make friends irl since he really needed a support system. He never listened, he never quit TH-cam, never quit any of those toxic behaviors. So Godspeed to you. Only a very specific kind of person can handle this platform. THANK YOU for knowing yourself, acknowledging it, and doing what's best for you and even those around you. I actually became aware of you in 2011 as we were going through the same crisis of faith at the same time, and it was very cathartic for me at the time. Athiest and ex-religious content was super popular at the time. People talk about "parasocial" all the time and harshly judge the unknown audience member. I think the term is extremely unfair and unduly judgemental of the audience. I personally think it's okay to feel compassion for the person we see in front of us. I know I certainly do for you. I was seriously considering TH-cam as a potential career when I was younger. I went to playlist several times, got equipment, started learning to promote myself, etc. I then decided this was not the path I wanted. I knew I mentally couldn't handle the bad parts and neither could my family. Best decision I made and I'm hoping the best for you too man!
It sounds fun, but it’s very isolating and a grind, and just like any other job. The odds of becoming a huge and successful content creator is so small and there’s so much competition.

I remember I started watching you when I was around 10. I am now in my early 20s and watching your content helped me a lot growing up. Maybe some parts may not have been the best for someone so young to watch. However it helped me when I was at some of my lowest points in my life. I know when you do leave the internet, I will forever miss you. Everyone else will also miss you, however we understand where you're coming from. Yeah I can’t even begin to imagine how terrible and scary it is to be dealing with people that want to invade your privacy and even try to get to loved ones. Peter monn who has a drama channel here on TH-cam talked extensively about several stalkers that he has and he said they have somehow found out what doctors he sees what vet he takes his dog to and have even tried contacting his doctors office to get his medical records. I’m surprised Peter is continuing TH-cam he kind of talked like it makes him want to quit or at least quit talking about influencers because their fans are so insane. Anyway, my point is I get it it’s understandable and you got to do what’s better for you we can all understand that. I wish you the best in any future projects you do

I'm really going to miss new content from you once you're done, but I don't blame you at all for your decision. I can't remember when I found you, but it's been a good 10 years or so that I've watched on and off and, while I didn't agree with everything you said all the time, I appreciated you for putting your truth out there anyway. I definitely feel you when you're talking about the unempathetic attitude you end up getting to the vitriol spewed at you online, and how that can end up affecting those around you. I streamed on Twitch for a few years and got to the same point you did; I'd be telling content creator friends to "grow up and deal with it" if they voiced concern about actual bullying they'd get. Eventually it really hit me that that's what I was doing to those I loved, and I was like..."this isn't me - wtf is going on?" I eventually took a hiatus that I haven't returned from, because I needed to heal myself from that mindset. Having a thick skin isn't inherently bad, but I was taking it to a point where I was as toxic as the people saying miserable things to me. We don't know each other, but I'm so PROUD of you for recognizing that you need to break that shell apart. It has to be hard when you've been in this content creator world as long as you have. If you ever come back to content creation on YT or anywhere else - I hope to catch you again. If you never do - it's totally understandable and I wish you nothing but the best in life going forward. Ultimately, though, I just hope life gets better for you and you can love living it again without having to be worried about your safety or the safety of those around you. Here's the thing about your financial projections regarding this channel. The numbers will go down because the new buyer won't realistically have the same numbers as you when they produce different variations of content compared to what you did. Once the channel sells, if it even does, the analytics will tank. People subscribed for you, not for whatever buyer or investor decides to take this channel over, so just from that, the person buying the channel will be starting off lower than what you ended at. I understand that you want to stop producing, but do what other TH-camrs did that quit, just make one final goodbye video and move on. Just take the passive income from the channel each month, and ride out into the sunset. I hope that you have a good end to your career on TH-cam but selling off your channel, and realistically you're selling your subscribers, is unethical to the buyer and to your fanbase. But you were one of the first I started watching consistently, the first video of yours I found was the Child Beauty Pageant one so long ago. You'll always be one of my favorites and I wish you all the best things going forward in your life. All good things come to end, but that opens up doors towards something even better. I've been watching you since I was 12 or 13 years old, I'm turning 25 this coming year. I'm so proud of you. I'm sad I won't get to see you continue to evolve, but this is perhaps the best thing you can do for your evolution as a person if you feel you need it. This is absolutely NUTS to me because I was so severely emotionally abused by a different TH-camr in the same way you describe turned up to an 11. We couldn't have been more toxic if we tried; I told him multiple times to please make friends irl since he really needed a support system. He never listened, he never quit TH-cam, never quit any of those toxic behaviors. So Godspeed to you. Only a very specific kind of person can handle this platform. THANK YOU for knowing yourself, acknowledging it, and doing what's best for you and even those around you.
I actually became aware of you in 2011 as we were going through the same crisis of faith at the same time, and it was very cathartic for me at the time. Athiest and ex-religious content was super popular at the time. People talk about "parasocial" all the time and harshly judge the unknown audience member. I think the term is extremely unfair and unduly judgemental of the audience. I personally think it's okay to feel compassion for the person we see in front of us. I know I certainly do for you. It's only human, and it's the kind of humanity we definitely need more of these days.

I was seriously considering TH-cam as a potential career when I was younger. I went to playlist several times, got equipment, started learning to promote myself, etc. I then decided this was not the path I wanted. I knew I mentally couldn't handle the bad parts and neither could my family. Best decision I made and I'm hoping the best for you too man!
It sounds fun, but it’s very isolating and a grind, and just like any other job. The odds of becoming a huge and successful content creator is so small and there’s so much competition.
It sucks seeing you go, especially since you're one of the few good ones left on this platform. However, I can't imagine how much shit you must have gone through as a TH-camr, especially one of your size. I hope that you find the happiness you're searching for. I remember I started watching you when I was around 10. I am now in my early 20s and watching your content helped me a lot growing up. Maybe some parts may not have been the best for someone so young to watch. However it helped me when I was at some of my lowest points in my life.
I know when you do leave the internet, I will forever miss you. Everyone else will also miss you, however we understand where you're coming from.

Yeah I can’t even begin to imagine how terrible and scary it is to be dealing with people that want to invade your privacy and even try to get to loved ones. Peter monn who has a drama channel here on TH-cam talked extensively about several stalkers that he has and he said they have somehow found out what doctors he sees what vet he takes his dog to and have even tried contacting his doctors office to get his medical records. I’m surprised Peter is continuing TH-cam he kind of talked like it makes him want to quit or at least quit talking about influencers because their fans are so insane. Anyway, my point is I get it it’s understandable and you got to do what’s better for you we can all understand that. I wish you the best in any future projects you do

I'm really going to miss new content from you once you're done, but I don't blame you at all for your decision. I can't remember when I found you, but it's been a good 10 years or so that I've watched on and off and, while I didn't agree with everything you said all the time, I appreciated you for putting your truth out there anyway.
I definitely feel you when you're talking about the unempathetic attitude you end up getting to the vitriol spewed at you online, and how that can end up affecting those around you. I streamed on Twitch for a few years and got to the same point you did; I'd be telling content creator friends to "grow up and deal with it" if they voiced concern about actual bullying they'd get. Eventually it really hit me that that's what I was doing to those I loved, and I was like..."this isn't me - wtf is going on?" I eventually took a hiatus that I haven't returned from, because I needed to heal myself from that mindset. Having a thick skin isn't inherently bad, but I was taking it to a point where I was as toxic as the people saying miserable things to me.
We don't know each other, but I'm so PROUD of you for recognizing that you need to break that shell apart. It has to be hard when you've been in this content creator world as long as you have.
If you ever come back to content creation on YT or anywhere else - I hope to catch you again. If you never do - it's totally understandable and I wish you nothing but the best in life going forward.
Ultimately, though, I just hope life gets better for you and you can love living it again without having to be worried about your safety or the safety of those around you. Here's the thing about your financial projections regarding this channel. The numbers will go down because the new buyer won't realistically have the same numbers as you when they produce different variations of content compared to what you did. Once the channel sells, if it even does, the analytics will tank. People subscribed for you, not for whatever buyer or investor decides to take this channel over, so just from that, the person buying the channel will be starting off lower than what you ended at. I understand that you want to stop producing, but do what other TH-camrs did that quit, just make one final goodbye video and move on. Just take the passive income from the channel each month, and ride out into the sunset. I hope that you have a good end to your career on TH-cam but selling off your channel, and realistically you're selling your subscribers, is unethical to the buyer and to your fanbase. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

I started watching you when I was like 12-13 years old and now I'm 26. You've shaped a lot of my thoughts and perspectives on things. Like a lot of other TH-camrs. But you were one of the first I started watching consistently, the first video of yours I found was the Child Beauty Pageant one so long ago. You'll always be one of my favorites and I wish you all the best things going forward in your life. All good things come to end, but that opens up doors towards something even better. I really relate to the effect of desensitization that the online world brings. I'm glad you're recognizing that and stepping away for your safety and health and also your loved ones. People like to glamorize the life of a TH-cam but I wouldn't want it knowing all that you sacrifice to make videos on here.
