    The 24V stock controller will not get burnt if batteries are 36V Lithium with stock motor? besides low voltage cut off is too low.

    So in the end it did not work as intended? ( Torque not better, connections melting and very short run time compared with two good quality lead-Acid)

  • @UrAvgRasian

    Since you added an extra battery making it 36V can you use a 24V charger to charge 36V battery?

    • @Making
      @Making  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, the charger has to be the right one for the batteries, that part is very finicky and not forgiving to mistakes. Using the right charger for the batteries is important.

    This the exact video that I’m looking for. I got an e750 with dead batteries in an almost brand new condition with the 24v system for $30. I have the some makita 18v batteries, kobalt 24v and echo 58v and ego 56v. Do you know that is the maximum voltage the system can handle? Looks like your system is 36v without changing anything. I see some other people do 48v with changing the controller. Thanks for sharing the information.

    • @lmaomarine
      @lmaomarine 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you keep the stock brushed motor, stay 36V. I have burned out an E200 250W motor running 48V with lipos. The motor still works but the plastic/fiberglass that holds the brushes is straight up black and crispy.

    • @charlieson3394

    I need an answer to this, is there any chances to get an electric shock?

    • @Making
      @Making  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Skin will resist voltages of up to roughly 50-60v (hence why in house low voltage is 52v such as for telephone lines and power over Ethernet). Your personal body chemistry and sweatyness will change your resistance, I once got a shock from a phone outlet for example, but most days, I don't get shocked by them. Long story short, these things run well under 50v, so just don't short the battery because that will make sparks and those sparks are hot.
