I love pressing buttons in a weird combination
WHAT THE FU-
You should see the button sequence to unlock cheat mode for Star Wars Shadows of the Emprie for the Nintendo 64. You had to press and hold like all the buttons on the controller and then slightly nudge the joystick to the left with your nose until you heard a ding, nudge to the right until ding, back to the left until ding, back to the right until ding, and finally back to the left until ding and boom - you just unlocked cheat mode. I remember the whole process because I did it a lot back in the day.

i love how the glitches on this game are just so fun, there are no glitches where you just fall thru the ground on normal gameplay and get soft locked or the game corrupts your save, its just fun and useful glitches that are usually hard enough to do to where a normal player can enjoy the game without them, but complex enough to where someone willing to (not) go the extra mile can save time

At least on 1.1.1 there was in fact a glitch that got me stuck inside a pillar and I couldn’t get out, haven’t checked on 1.1.2 yet tho
there is a glitch to fall through the floor, its actually quite easy, was patched in latest version though
Bedrock Bistro is closed until after the Goron Questline, even if you do the sidequest that's there before clearing it, the chef will be too busy eating marbled rock roast to serve you.

I just found a pretty neat method to farm the food for this using the dupe glitch for everyone still playing on 1.1.1 and earlier:
1. Go to some area where you can roast food by putting it on the ground, the firetemple boss arena is nice and flat and you can teleport to it for example
2. equip a wingshield for more time while airborne
3. do a shield jump and instantly open your inventory
4. grab 5 of whatever you want to roast (assuming you already followed this video and have an effected food prepared)
5. hit Y + B at the same time to keep the items in your inventory while also dropping 5 on the floor
6. quickly after closing your menu/inventory with Y + B open it again and do the same thing up to 4 times in one shield jump. 5 times in one jump is not only hard, you‘d also lose items since 21 items on the floor is the limit so 4 times (x 5 items = 20 items total) is pretty much perfect.
Also, while doing that with fish, they might stack very nicely for you to just stand in the middle of them (be burn resistant though, they do be hot while cooking) and just spam A super fast when they’re done.
Edit: I just discovered that you can make it even more efficient by creating something like a box/4 walls around you so the 20 dropped food doesn’t spread too much. I used these zonai part skateboard things for that, don’t know how they’re called in english.

I know he mentioned that there were only two stores that sell roasted items but hopefully there’s some place that sells apples cause they would be really easy to farm
Why bother? There's a bunch of apple trees in Hateno Village. Just grab 'em all.

Undercover Yiga clan members also sell roasted bananas. Apparently lutein village has a Minigame that rewards a roasted porgy which also works. (Water rally beginner course?) I currently am going all around the map seeing who else sells cooked food, i swear there's more vendors
So glad I did not update yet. I just learned about this glitch yesterday, thank you Austin! So far I did this for 21 hearts, 2 wheel stamina, 3x attack for 30 mins and x3 speed for 30 mins, gloom healing for 15+ hearts and 30 min gloom resistance. I only have that porgy and chicken leg left and still deciding what I'll do for those but really glad to have stacked food for these effects. Saves space and honestly on resources too. I have to update one day and want these stacked treats before I do.

Roasted Bass from Kara Kara Bazaar
Seared Steak from Kara Kara Bazaar & Post-Gerudo Town
Seared Prime Steak from Post-Gerudo Town & Bedrock Bistro
Seared Gourmet Steak from Post-Gerudo Town & Bedrock Bistro
Roasted Bird Thigh from Bedrock Bistro
Roasted Porgy from clearing the Lurelin Village Water Rally Beginner Course
and Roasted Mighty Bananas from "Travelers" on the Great Plateau
If it's true that there's an 8th stackable food you can use this glitch with, could you please tell me where it is and how to obtain it?

This game reminds me of playing OoT for the first time. So many glitches. Nothing that breaks the game or ruins things (Looking at you, Pokemon). Just fun, harmless glitches to play with.
Yessir I’m loving totk rn, all the glitches, the exploration, the story. I got 115 hrs on it already lol.
I had this happen when buying roasted bananas from a yiga and I thought it was intentional because it had gloom resistance
i think im gonna play this game on v1.1.1 for a long time
after you complete the gerudo section of regional phenomena a vendor in gerudo town will start selling seared prime steaks and seared gourmet steaks (and normal seared steaks but kara kara is easier)
just continued the video and both are available at the bedrock bistro so kinda useless but could be helpful to someone

This game is a masterpiece, and I think Nintendo should leave the glitches the way they are and not patch them. This gives players a choice between playing normally, or for people who just want that casual yet fun experience. The game is massive, and it ain't easy either. Keeping these glitches will really help those who do not have the time to farm or who are totally struggling vs powerful enemies. It's already a 10/10 game, so why patch it? Too bad they already patched just about all of them a few hours ago. I'm not sure if this food glitch is in there, but every dupe glitch widely known is patched.

ya, I am both off line, and turned auto updates off, this wont be gone unless I'm ready to have it gone.
NOTE: Gerudo town also has roasted meat for sale after you finish their Regional Phenomena quest.

Is there a place that sells roasted apples? If so, do you even realize how many apples you just end up collecting during your playthrough? Combine a roasted apple with a buff that gives you a ton of yellow hearts and you'll never worry about your health again.
I found another one! you can buy roasted bananas from a secret yiga clan guy inside the forest of spirits on the great plateu. 129 rupees but with the other glitches thats not hard to get.

wow.. this is an useful glitch. i wonder if able to roast apples/mushrooms in that restaurant. Then we have a bunch of super apple/hrooms

Five big hearty truffles don't give you 21 temporary hearts unless there's a blood moon.
I'm on 1.0.0 and I noticed if you eat a buff with that was a critical cook then it will not work, you'll have to try again for a standard status

You can't. Either reload your last save. Or cook it again

Remember a deal's not a deal if you don't use the item.
Is there a video that lays out where all the bazaars/restaurants are to maximize these buffs? I know this video shows 5 potential meals. Is that the max? I know gerudo town has a couple too?
There are "Travelers" on the Great Plateau that are willing to sell you Roasted Mighty Bananas. I just did that and passed 30 min Attack Up 3 onto them lol
i did stumble upon this, but i thought that for some reason they had added a speed boost buff to the gourmet steak so i thought nothing of it...
I hope Nintendo does NOT patch these up anytime soon.
I just noticed your great flame sword. Are those elemental swords still a thing in Tears of the Kingdom?
You take a normal sword and fuse the relevant gemstone to it. So to get a flameblade you would add a ruby to a normal sword
There is one of each lizal fused on the ground in each camp on Evantide before you complete any camps(shrine required) that seem to Respawn before that.
I'll bet your Link is just buzzing around at near light speed.

Something also that I wished I tried first but I cant anymore: Try to replicate the glitch using one of the steak being roasted that some enemies have. Would be good to confirm a lot of hypothesis.
Between this and the dupe glitch, it's weird how easy powerful glitches are to do in this game, lol.
The duplication glitch is something that anyone could have stumbled upon too
I would suggest changing the title to roasted or baked instead of seared because that is only for meat iirc
Omg I was going to do this glitch when I saw that I actually accidentally already did it XD had heat attack up fish
Bruh I cooked a hearty truffle before I even knew about this glitch and got a full health seared steak
Coupled with the item dup glitch and you can get a load of buffs. Wonder if this still works with the new update? I haven't updated yet.
Question: Can you cook the food of choice, eat it, and pick up a baked apple off the ground, and have the effect transfer that way; or do you have to buy the stackable food from the store?

@@dyceman03 just checked: has to be bought from a store, cannot be picked up off the ground. Thankfully I only wasted 1 hearty truffle with this test.

I absolutely love how unfunctional this game is in the most niche and small ways possible. Perfectly stable (mostly) for the average player, extremely abusable for people who want to limit test the game. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
IKR? Its at the perfect balance between broken and stable which makes it super fun.
Yeah, stable enough for the usual gameplay, but broken enough for goofy stuff like this.

Curious what ways you've found it to be unstable, even if a little bit? I can't even get it to start chugging frame drops unless a truly legendary amount of junk is on the screen at once, and it's super rare.

As stated in the Title and on the Thumbnail is ONLY works on version 1.0, 1.1, and 1.1.1.
This was Patched in 1.1.2
However if you did this glitch on 1.1 or 1.1.1 and then updated, your food stack will still be there and can be added to it.

You can also get a buff from buying the roasted bananas from the Yiga Clan member on the Great Plateau at the entrance to the snow area.

The 7th food you can stack (6th being the Roasted Mighty Bananas from the Great Plateau) is Lurelin Water Rally's Beginner Course rewarding a Roasted Porgy upon completion.
I think it's best to put 5x Big Hearty Radishes (+25 temporary max hearts) on the Roasted Mighty Bananas because it recovers the least amount of hearts (0.75). If you got more than 16 heart containers, its heal display says it will heal 0.75 + [40 - Current Maximum] Hearts, but in practice it retains the Full Recovery & +25 temporary max hearts effect. 5x Sundelions (+15 gloom hearts) would best go on the Seared Gourmet Steak because it heals the most (4.50 hearts), then your other 5 buff effects can heal for more (Roasted Porgy/Seared Steak/Roasted Bass = 1.50, Roasted Bird Thigh/Seared Prime Steak = 2.25).
Instead of the 5x Sundelions, I went with (4x Dark Clump + Dragon Horn) for 30min of Gloom resistance.
i didn't really care about putting hearty on what recovered the least since i would always have a ton of full heal hearty food to recover with anyways, instead i organised by type to make it more intuitive for me personally. so my loadout is:
hearty seared steak
sunny roasted bird thigh
enduring roasted bass
mighty seared gourmet steak
tough seared prime steak
swift roasted porgy
and OBVIOUSLY sticky roasted mighty bananas

This game has so many easy to do and cool glitches it reminds me of how fun the glitches were in Skyrim
I just wish my horse could scale mountains like a Skyrim horse.
Horses are kinda 'nailed' to the ground in a sense, they check the ground a set distance away when going at full speed and will basically halt and rear up to complain when you are going to evade a cliff at the last minute.
Additionally if you cook just as the Blood Moon is about to happen you get what is known as a “critical cook” which is that little jingle you hear right as you finish cooking, this will give you an extra benefit like either healing more or an extra gloom heart recovered, it’s minor with this glitch but I figured I’d share anyway, great guide Austin!
Might as well shoot for the moon, so to speak
The amount of quality of life glitches the game has is amazing I love it. This gives us more time to do important things like build silly vehicles to torture koroks.

i actually love glitches as a middle aged dude who gets a few hours to play the game
i do love grinding some aspects of the game, grinding shrines or dragon parts or zonaite can be somewhat fun involving mechanics i love to repeat
but some aspects i just want to "get out of the way" to get to the fun parts
and these glitches are amazing for that, to skip through some parts that are okayyy, and to enjoy the game as best as i can, in the few hours i get to play :')
To be fair a lot of the grind is there to pad out the hours of play for a typical player, some of them are meaningless grind in minigames and such.
If you still have 1.1.1, do the duplication drop (B+Y paraglider) glitch of the raw material in a place you need level 1 flame guard after you put whatever effect on your roasted dish to stack it quickly. I have like 400 roasted bass with +20 hearts in 10 mins.
I’m loving this game with the glitches and all. I’ve created my house and now it’s my base of operations.
I shield surf my items up to 10, glide my items for duplicates, and then I create a fire pit where I burn all my meats and poultry until I have a healthy amount of stacked seared buffs… forget saving hyrule… this is the reason I’m loving this game
You can also get roasted mighty bananas from a yiga traveller encounter when you aren’t wearing the disguise. Thats how I stumbled upon this glitch

I.. I thought that was just the bedrock bistro special, not a glitch.....At least I think i took a screany .
Ganondorf is gonna pucker up when i roll up in a fully functional AC-30, basically inmortal withh 999 fairies, with 30 mins of attack up lvl 3, an obscene amount of Hylian shields^2, an unbreakable triple elemental Master Sword , accompanied by 4 ghosts, and a mech.
I am now convinced that the 1.1.2 update was specifically requested by Ganondorf because he was afraid of this person.

Having to mutch buff makes it all a bit to easy for my taste but to be able to just run insted of using a cluncky horse is sooooooo nice
A hoverbike is the best way to travel especially if you dupe the large zonai charges and raise your battery a ton...

But I just wanted to say that Golden Apples always give you a Critical Cook, that i don't remember in which video you mentioned you didn't know what golden apples are for, I think I figured it out...

I love that they spent a year polishing the game and goofy glitches like this still sneak through. I would have loved to see how messy it was a year ago lol.
This glitch almost seams intentional to me. Like a hidden perk for speed runners or something.
Did you know if you drink orange juice, you get a temporary irl strength buff?

I hope they just don't patch these glitches, most of them are obscure enough people aren't going to randomly find them whilst playing and it's a single player game, it's not like cheating in a multiplayer game where it ruins other people's experience.

Has anyone figured out if you can do this with any other food? Seems like the 2 in Kara Kara bazaar, and the 3 at the Goron restaurant are the only 3 cooked items this works with. Wondering if I am missing any other locations where you can buy cooked food. I've tried just picking up cooked items (the the roasted porgy in Lurelin village) and it doesn't seem to work.
There are "Travelers" on the Great Plateau that will sell you Roasted Mighty Bananas. I tested it out there and it worked
Would of been nice if you gave all the cooked food venders in the game.
ngl the glitches have made this a great experience for first zelda game as someone who likes limit testing in Destiny2

Are you going to do a guide to the goddess statue quest at the forgotten temple? It's kinda hidden so I think not many know about it and the reward is really cool.
This isn't working for me =( It's super easy to do and I have updates turned off since 1.1 but it still doesn't work with any food I make =(
For easy searing/roasting, take your raw meat/fish to one of those "unbearable heat" caves in Eldin. Throw your raw stuff on the floor and voila! Now you don't have to aim for a small fire.
Make sure to only drop 20 items at a time or stuff starts despawning!

The food purchases were so useless that the developers didn't expect anyone to actually buy them
With the most recent patch which came out today May 25, this food glitch, two bow dupe, and the drop dupe no longer work. I haven't tested anything else. If you want to use these do not update your game yet.

Austin, I'd be lost without your infinite. I just wanted to say thanks for the guides you've been giving us in the last 2 weeks with Tears of the Kingdom. I've been subscribed to you since Breath of the Wild came out and you sir, are by far the easiest person to follow along with tutorials.
