For the ancient altar ruins cave, I found you don’t need to go down every sand whirlpool. When you are in the cave you can just stand on each pile of sand down there. Once you stand on top of a sand pile the game will register you finding the entrance, could save you some time.
And a key to knowing without opening the map if it registered is every time the map registers a new location it autosaves. So running around in there you get save after save after save

Not to mention the time a few years ago he was caught distributing meth in a white neighborhood.
true but still becareful about heromode it doesnt show the y axes, so if ur missing a sage wills but the map shows u have been over the chest's location multiple times in the skymap that doesnt mean u opened the chest, same with overworld bosses, u could have been to where a boss is but u havent fought it or chickened out(toke me awhile to remember i marked 2 skele hinox cause not night time and they dont wake up if u sleep at campfire near them u need to unload/reload them)
@@nfsilverblade1526 If you are on a sky island and use hero's mode, if u see that there is a line covering that area but it's a darker green that means you explored that area either on land or in the depths. If for example the line showed a bright green line, that would mean you explored that area on the sky islands and not on the land and depths area 👍
You can press a button that will cycle thru the display options. You can make it hide the green line if it’s not on the tier of the map you’re looking at.
I’m missing maybe one lightroot. I am fairly positive every one easily viewable on the map is checked and the one under the Castle but haven’t gotten the medal yet and cannot for the life of me find it. Figured I’ll likely stumble across it someday but incredibly frustrating as I spent a whole night trying to knock them out.
I discovered that the checkmarks on the caves mean that you've gotten the bubbulfrog from that cave already and I just about cried from joy as I was worried since I hadn't tracked them at the beginning. |D
Might I suggest tracking your Addison signs if you haven't already? There's no indication for those on the map so when you are trying to find the last one you didn't do, you'll have to go to all of them again one by one. The one I missed was just left Kakariko Village. I had gone down the road so Hero's Path showed me going there which made me think I had gotten that sign, forcing me to go check each and every one again. It was a rough time. I'd also suggest marking Hinox, Frox, Flux Constructs, Talus that you kill all with different marks. Molduga and Gleeok, don't worry about there aren't many. The rest of the medals of honor monsters though, mark the ones you kill so you don't have to go back over and over.
Hey guys, Autistic Austin here. today I'm going to be showing a tutorial on how I lure in easily manipulated 8-year-olds onto my channel. Before the video starts, I put two 30 second Unskippable ads with incredibly inappropriate content in them, this hooks their brain and keeps them entertained before the video even starts. After this, I ramble about useless nonsense for around 8 minutes before the actual video starts, and once it does, I go onto a random chart of Tears of the kingdom and ramble about even more nonsense. I generally refrain from putting actual useful timestamps so if they want to see anything remotely useful they will have to watch through the entire 40-minute video with 12 Un skippable ads every 4 minutes just to be disappointed because they realized the entire video was useless, another thing I do is waste people's time. For example, I usually tell them to create a flying machine designed to go upwards just to tell them to go downwards. I pretend I don't know what the X button on my controller does. I put obnoxious faces and twelve arrows in every single one of my thumbnails to get the 7-year-olds to click them. You may think this is a terrible thing to do, but it makes me money. And even if I do feel guilt for what I do I instantly get all the dopamine back by beating my son jerry with a whip. There are far more practices I do to manipulate the underdeveloped brain of 7 year olds, but I'll show that in another video. Autistic Austin out!

I finished my 100% last night and it was a huge undertaking but I absolutely love this game. I would really like people to remember what you mentioned about the caves with multiple entrances/exits of the same name counting individually for completion %, I was going crazy trying to find out what I was missing until I figured that out. Thanks again Austin for all the knowledge you’ve shared with us, you’ve made my time in hyrule (once again) a terrific experience.
@@crunchyblend8809 I slowly enjoyed the game for as long as I possibly could just like botw cause part of me never wants it to end! Finished with 340 hours played and it was all enjoyable through and through.
I just used the Zelda Dungeon Maps site to find the caves I was missing, mainly to also get all the Bubbulfrogs as well. Having Sensor+ for Bubbulfrogs can help with this
When I got all the koroks I was missing only 2 map locations for 100%, which were the east and west passages in Hyrule castle. The entrances are a bit difficult to find, but I figured I would mention this for anyone who might need it. Edit: I put exact locations in the reply as well as the location of the dining room, because it is a bit tricky to get to, if anyone needs them
@@methavita I got you The entrance to the east passage us at -0083 1124 0043. I recommend going from the north to find it easier The enterance to the west passage is at -0400 0738 0013. I recommend going from Lookout Landing Skyview Tower. Hope this helps

Some locations count as 2 because they have two versions on the map, depending on how much you zoom in/out. If you zoom out and it slightly moves, then it will count as 2 (or 3 in some cases I believe).

Not sure if this has been noted in another video, but all the mines in the depths correspond with locations named 'Mount ____' on the surface. Similarly all groves in the depths correspond with forests on the surface.
Yeah, one of the Yiga entries tells about this and it's very clear once you discover the mines that they share the names with the mountains on the Hyrule map.

I think zelda maps is great. But for korok hunting zelda dungeons map if you click on a seed it actually tells you the solution if you can't be bothered to figure out. You can also have it so the icon doesn't get removed but just greyed out, so that if you accidentally missed one you don't have to go back through hours of searching
My last Korok absolutely stumped me, I compared my map to the other map I was using to check them off. Took me a bit, but it was in the middle of the castle! There are two seeds that are doubled up in the same spot, highest point on the castle and ringing the bell tower. I missed the highest point one and ended my Korok journey looking over Hyrule :)

In botw, finished korok seeds and still needed 13 locations to reach 100%, they were mostly bridges, a few ruins, and the “secret” hot springs in hebra. It’s gonna be so much worse in totk

Banditgames hasn’t updated in 2 months. Hope everything is alright with him, too. A star wars channel that I am interested in, Star Wars Reading Club, had some personal emergency and didn’t update any of his active streams for over a year. So we feared the worst. But he did come back eventually to our great happy surprise.
I’ve literally been checking like everyday for the last three weeks. I did see he was on Twitter posting somethings. I have no idea cuz I just found him only two weeks before he randomly stopped uploading without warning. I mean his last video was 100% the game so kinda makes sense I just thought he’d have said hey taking a lil break or something just so we know
Another side quest not included in 100% which is kinda fun is the one for Kilton and Hudson in Tarrey Town where you take pictures of a bunch of monsters and Kilton makes statues of them.
There’s nothing I love more in Tarrey Town than seeing my King Gleeock statue perched on his tail, wings spread, an army of Chuchus scattered around him 😄
Genuinely the best tips and tricks TH-camrs, your presentation and actually factual information is so clear and easy to understand. Keep up the great work Austin!
I 100%-ed BotW like three separate times so I can't wait to do that with Tears, I've been having so much fun and finally got every Lightroot lit up except for the one beneath Hyrule Castle cuz I'm saving that one for when I finally go to fight Ganondorf
You don't need to save it. Go get it. I did the same thing. Don't wait. Grab the lightroot and get out. Just jump down the chasm and turn around, you'll see it. You don't need to go far down towards spoiler stuff to get it.
@@GunmarTheBlack No spoilers, just don't go down south when you jump into the Hyrule Castle chasm. Jump in and look towards the shrine location on the surface map, you should see the Lightroot as you're falling. Grab that and warp out. If you explore south from that Lightroot you may run into end game stuff that you are saving but it isn't going to happen by accident that's for sure.
@@GunmarTheBlack There's a giant gloom covered root with what kinda looks like a door at the base, if you land close enough to it it'll trigger a cutscene. Besides that, nothing down there is going to contain end game spoilers. It's really far down though. The Lightroot is actually pretty high up on its own platform, you'll see on the map what I mean when you unlock it.
I just got all Korok seeds before the 5th sage just cuz I wanted them outta the way, thankfully I didn't miss any. Then after beating Ganondorf, my % was 94.42%. The locations will prolly be the annoying thing left to track down
Over the last 2 years I would occasionally ride around BOTW looking for the last 3 locations. A bridge and ruins NW of the castle as well as Gerudo Canyon Entrance(which I never activated on any of my 3 save files). Happy hunting.
After watching how thoroughly you researched and helped us completely understand how to 100% the game… I’ve decided to not.. try… I’m just going to enjoy flying on dragons and being the most awesome hero in my hyrule… and go to Lureline (the only town) where they give me perks for being amazing
Just finished 100% completion today, the interactive maps like on zeldamaps were a great help. My very last location was actually the ruined bridge near the Akkala citadel, so definitely make sure to visit every single bridge that you can find. Same thing goes for those ruined structures like the mentioned Maritta Exchange Ruins or the Royal Ancient Lab Ruins. Finally, there are a bunch of landmarks in and around Hyrule Castle that you'll only find if you zoom in really far, there's a high likelyhood that you'll miss some of those as well. And for Koroks, the only hint I can give is to be thorough and careful from the very beginning of your search, so that you won't have to start all over again later. Good luck everyone!
😮As I was exploring the Depths for locations today, I saw a little frox eat one of my giant brightbloom seeds that I planted 2-3 minutes prior. Now I know blooms don't "just disappear"😮
I have some extra 100% stuff. Those are still reasonable. - Discover every NPC’s name and have it show up above their head by talking to them or being talked to by them, at least once (they must not be sleeping or else the nametag won’t register) - All Sage’s Wills with upgrades
Actually got the Ancient Altar Ruins you can visit each of the sand piles underneath each of the entrances and they will still give you the entrance. I was so happy when I did that on accident and realized that I didn’t have to sit through all those cutscenes.
You actually don't need to go into every Sand sink hole in the Gerudo Desert. You can actually go through one and stand underneath entrance, and the game still registers that you've discovered it.
One thing that Austin forgot to mention was there’s a little chest icon when you collect the chest in a shrine that is permanent, definitely something not required for the counter but I’m going for.
I had 999 korok seeds and I went through the online map THREE times before I found the last one. Just southeast of Birida Lookout Chasm, there's a platform with a korok seed on the top, and one precisely underneath it too. They overlap when appearing on a map. Drove me crazy trying to find it! Thanks Austin John for the vid! I'm stuck at 99% and realised I need to find groves in the depths. 👍
I have been at 99.95% for several days so I checked out the Zelda Maps site like you said and I went 1 by 1 looking for all cave entrances first and the last location on the map I was missing was the Pikida Stonegrove Northwest Caves alternate entrance (the one closest to the skyview tower). Such a relief to get the map 100% complete. Thanks for all the awesome help with the game.
Thank you so much for the video and advice! Definitely helped. My last two were cave entrances that I would have sworn I got. The Taafei Hill cave even has a Rare Talus I was farming for a good ten blood moons, but the icon never registered until I swam out the center of the entrance instead of walked in on the little ledge to the side. The advice that if it doesn't change the map, it doesn't count was priceless.
for anyone having trouble with the random underground locations, all the named groves correspond with same-named forests in the overworld, while the underground canyons and their mines correspond with overworld mountains.
6:29 You can register all those individual quicksand entrances from inside the cave by simply walking up the pile of sand they create from right below each of the holes entrances
I actually came to his channel because I'm used to watching his Pokémon present reactions but I got worried it seems like he hasn't been posting lately, However, he probably took a break. Which is understandable. He does a ridiculous amount of research for these game videos and it's only human to need a vacation. I'm looking forward to the dlc and I hope he will be making a video on it when it comes out. 😊
My last one was "Gleeok Bridge" - the smallest bridge in the whole game... just north of the outskirt stable. It's right next to where I farmed bomb flowers courtesy of AJP's element farming video. BTW thank you AJP. Your videos are so good. The quality, the research, the presentation - it's all top tier man. I appreciate you.
Bro he is a friend of mine. Any question my friends have about Zelda, I’m there for them. There is a high likelihood that if there’s a TH-camr who covers Zelda, I have answered questions about this game.
@@AustinJohnPlaysi Just got 100 but ITS showing 0 instead of 100 percent ? Do you know what to so because it seems im Not the only one With that issue
Thank you! I was looking into this last night so this makes it even easier. I love this game so much I want to write a complete unofficial walk-through and publish it
Wow. I rewatched this video today, because I’ve been stuck at 99,95% in 1 1/2 week. So I thought, why don’t I rewatch your video. When I did I started thinking, did I ever pass the mini game under Tabantha great bridge? I couldn’t remember, so I went there and talked to Modar. And finally 100%. So a big thank you AJP. My weirdest discovery when I was at 99, 87% was that even though I had found all bubbulfrogs, one cave wasn’t showing on my map. And when I went back there, I immediately recognized the cave, because I knew there was a talus inside. I even had the Talus monster medal + all other monster medals done. Luckily that made my map% increase by 0,04% to 99,91%. The 99,91% to 99,95% missing location, were a chasm I obviously didn’t dive all the way down. It was the Yiga Clan Hideout chasm.
As a note for people: You don't have activate any of the shrines, towers or lightroots for them to count for the map counter. Just discovering them(having the name pop up on screen) is enough, and you can walk away. Of course most will want to activate them for the teleport ability, but that isn't necessary for the map completion! (For more "minimalist 100%" stuff, go find Wolf Link and their Minimalist 100% series, it's great!)
I'm surprised you didn't mention the compendium. I considered 100+ for BotW and will do again for this game. The sheikah stealth suit really helps for getting good pictures of animals and critters
Thanks for the info, guys. Ima try just getting all the pics myself, until I can’t find however many missing ones that tick me off enough to just buy it. Kind of like I do for any other part of the game that gets me stumped - just cheese it!
Amazing! Thank you so much! For some reason, the west entrance of the East Biron Snowshelf Cave had not registered on my map, despite me walking through it twice. You helped me find like 14 locations!
I know it was probably said already but the way the 100% are counted makes me furious. Koroks should NOT be part of it, BUT instead quests should be part of it, shrines should be part of it, compendium should be part of it, obtaining every item at least once (so it doesn't say new anymore) should be part of it, like in any other normal game too! This is ridiculous.
With 99.95% completed, somehow my very last piece of map was the Deku Tree Chasm. Truly have no idea how that's even possible since I finished the main quest
Hey AJP just wanted to say that you are missing a cave funnily enough where you said that it would be scary to be missing a cave in the video. It is an entrance to the Tabahl Woods Cave.
For the Dispelling Darkness Medal you do need to activate all of the lightroots in order to get it as I didn't get mine until after I activated my last one.
Hey Austin! Just wanted to point out something about @6:12 You mentioned needing to go into every single cave to get the entrances, but if you're inside the cave, you can simply walk onto the mound where each entrance spits you out and it will count that entrance, which is much faster than going up and down over and over
I do a 1000% hardcore run. This includes 1. Opening every chest until the chest sensor is silent wherever you go. Obviously this includes the shrine chests. 2. Bombing away every piece of boulder and breakable wall AND melting every ice block. Like opened chests those barricades will never respawn and are gone for good. 3. Getting 999.999 rupees and as many materials as possible. This could be a huge problem because unlike most materials Zonaite and Large Zonaite have no cap at 999. Maybe at 9999? 4. Buying all rooms for Link's house, and having all legendary weapons displayed (or at least saved unused in your storage). 5. Having the 6 Legendary Horses captured, plus the dotted one from the side quest, and your personal "super horse", all of them maxed out. 6. All armor maxed out, even the Hylian Hood pulled down as an extra. 7. Everything talked about in this video. 8. The only thing I don't do, is the amiibo stuff. That means only the Paraglider Fabrics from 1 to 29 are needed.
Hi Austen John, With TOTK I still haven't started the storyline. For me, this game is a continuation of where I left off with BOTW. Now I first play the game completely without starting the story line and I can tell you, it is super interesting. I think most people have “Glitched” the game to pieces. It's a beautiful game and I'm happy with this video to complete my last things 100% + before I start the story line. Greetings from an Old school gamer and for the love of Mipha.
This video has been very helpful! I got all 1000 korok seeds an hour ago, and man was it a pain. I had 999 koroks, but my map had all 1000 checked off. Luckily i found the missing korok after about 20 minutes of searching. Now I'm just finding all the caves to hopefully see that 100% map completion!
I was thinking, would you be willing to do a video on all of the Schema Stones? I was mapping out all of the depths and realized there's quite a few spots that look like hideouts that I hadn't gone over yet as well as there are the mines that have exclusive blueprints, there was the one that Robbie gave you to teach you how to use auto build better, I was just curious if that was something you'd be willing to do
AJP said that every place with a Forge Construct also has a Schema Stone. There are 2 exceptions I can think of: You get a Schema Stone from Josha by completing the Autobuild quest. The second one is from a Construct in the Shrine of Resurrection on the Great Plateau. The other 10 are found near the forges in the Depths.
The Akkala Bridge Ruins is one of the last of two locations so far on my map, but it didn't show as discovered despite having already gotten the korok seed there. Beware of this, there could be locations in the overworld you may have thought you gone to but didn't show up as discovered.
I had a cave entrance where I went there, went back there, ran in circles, jumped around a bit, and then rebooted my Switch before it finally appeared on my map.
I was just thinking about this and the video pops up in my feed literally seconds later. Thanks for all you do, the content really helps in my adventure!
I am not about getting 999 of each material because hunting all those beetles would SUCK, but other than that I do like to do mostly everything else, including getting all the armor and fully upgrading everything. I even have both the hood down and the hood up 😅
I personally don’t think it’s fair to lump opening all chests with getting 999 of everything. One involves solving sometimes quite devious puzzles and the other…is mindless, terrible grinding
Once I realized the relationship between shrines and roots, I would mark the counterpart. Therefore, I was certain that I was missing a sky shrine and searched for 2 days until I finally realized that I hadn't. Word to the wise, just because a shrine is in a cave that you're in, don't delete a pin until you've activated the shrine. 😅
Some people have been marking down the prologue as a 24th main quest objective, which was really confusing up until this point because there is no way to add that to the game. I am glad you’ve shown that there are only 23 main quest objectives
Thanks to your video I just got the 100% map completion. I didn't know that you need literally all of the cave entrances lol Only things missing for me now are the Hudson signs and around 10 Frox, 22 stone talus and 17 Hinox. All of those are a pain since the game doesn't tell you which ones you already did so in the worst case you have to visit each location
In BOTW, one thing that took me forever to discover were these small ruins of a town on the east side of Death Mountain. There's nothing great or important near those ruins so it's unlikely for someone to casually come across it. I'm sure that could be another location on the map that is holding people up from the 100%.
9:03 At 280 hours I’ve done every single thing in the game except koroks and named location. How in the world is this how I find out about the second crystal refinery that’s right outside Lookout Landing?
Coincidentally went into the ancient altar ruins (the gerudo desert cavern under all the sand holes) and you only need to stand on stop of the collecting sand pile, you don't need to actually fall through each hole for it to count. Hope this made sense.
Nice to see you are taking a break from the grind. Go get some rest as you are a human being and i am amazed about how many vids you have made recently just wow. You deserve a break. Thank you for making so many amazing vids. And hope you bring us many more in the future. P.S Never feel pressured to make too many vids. You matter more than your channel.
Quick tip for the ancient altar ruins in the Gerudo desert. You don't need to go through every sand pit. Just go into one and when you are in the cave, walk over the sand pyramid thing that's forming from the sand falling from above. Doing that will register the cave entrance.
Take time Austin John! Last Korok was brutal to find. Coordinates -3584 | -1991 | 0233. It was on top of another one I had already found just SW of Birida Lookout. Last map locations were device dispensers I had missed in the sky islands. There's one below the water temple at 3430 | 0637 | 1317.
I had 100% my game a few weeks ago. Best advice I can give is to not lose hope. I had been stuck on 99.95% for days trying to find just one location. The last place I needed was the floret sandbar where the crazy flower lady from botw is now located. Some easily missable locations are the east and west passage in hyrule castle. Also, the east post ruins was also one of the last places I found. Trust me, it will drive you crazy but when its done. You have done something I would assume most people who play this game wouldn't bother trying to do.
that's me right now... I have 99.95% and I have no idea what it is. I have the floret sandbar, East and West Passages from the Castle. I even have the East post ruins. I really have no idea where to look.
Also, one of the random locations I missed was the actual "Faron Woods" location. I had all the bridges and random spots. For some reason, I never actually stepped into the woods, I just flew over/around them, there aren't any koroks close enough to register the location. OMG YOU'RE MY SAVIOR @LozMajM!!!!!!! For me it was Faron WOOODS!!! I have been in this area but somehow I didn't walk by the marker! Thank you so much!

This is exactly why I decided to just follow a guide from BeardBear for the Koroks... Ain't no way in hell am I gonna sit here spending billions of hours counting all the koroks I've found just to finally find the one I'm missing...
One tip for finding the last missing koroks efficiently: Use the *drawing feature* of the object map! With it you can divide the map into small areas (of about 10 to 30 koroks) and compare the koroks from your game with the ones on the object map in small, manageable chunks. By dividing the entire map you can't miss any koroks and you save a lot of time because you don't have to mark every single korok on the computer map as completed. This method still took me about 45 minutes to go through the entire surface map of Hyrule (the sky is really fast) but it's still a LOT faster than checking off each korok as I did back in the day for 100%ing BOTW. And one last tip: There are two korok seeds at almost the exact same location a bit south of the Birida Lookout Chasm (in BOTW this was the location of the Gerudo Tower). On the map you almost can't see that there are two korok seeds instead of one. But as far as I can remember this is the only such spot in the game, so other than for these two koroks the above method should work perfectly.
Hi all, just reached 100% on my map, here were some of the locations I missed: -Gatepost Town Ruins (Outside Great Plateau) -Gleeok Bridge (South West of Ancient Tree Stump) -Dining Hall (Hyrule Castle) -Castle Town Watchtower & Water Reservoir (Both around Hyrule Castle Town Ruins) -Faron Woods (Due south of Finra Woods in Faron) -Smithing Construct (a shop inside the Spirit Temple) I hope this helps anyone looking for completion. Happy hunting

Hero's path mode is very useful for figuring out if you need to see where you haven't been while searching for unfound locations
true but still becareful about heromode it doesnt show the y axes, so if ur missing a sage wills but the map shows u have been over the chest's location multiple times in the skymap that doesnt mean u opened the chest, same with overworld bosses, u could have been to where a boss is but u havent fought it or chickened out(toke me awhile to remember i marked 2 skele hinox cause not night time and they dont wake up if u sleep at campfire near them u need to unload/reload them)
@@nfsilverblade1526 If you are on a sky island and use hero's mode, if u see that there is a line covering that area but it's a darker green that means you explored that area either on land or in the depths.

@@RyanNaser413 Thank you! I've been skipping the Addison signs ngl, but I'll definitely be tracking them once I start on them! :D

You actually don't need to go into every Sand sink hole in the Gerudo Desert. You can actually go through one and stand underneath entrance, and the game still registers that you've discovered it.

THE most informative game player on youtube thank you again for yet another one of these stellar videos Austin! Always looking forward to them 🥰💯💯🔥
As a note for people: You don't have activate any of the shrines, towers or lightroots for them to count for the map counter.
The compendium is required for a side adventure.
Can you cheese it and just buy a copy from Robbie? No offense intended, if that’s an offensive question. t. noob.
@@jayhache5609Yeah, you can just buy the entire thing. BE WARNED that there are missable entries like the bosses (including Kogha) and Master Sword
@IceBlueLugia nope u can purchase boss photos after you've defeated ganon so its fine
I’ve seen every single Austin John totk video. I need more!
For the Dispelling Darkness Medal you do need to activate all of the lightroots in order to get it as I didn't get mine until after I activated my last one.
I thought he was wondering if you have to activate them for map completion
Can confirm.
Also it doesn't give you the medal till after you activate the root, not when you discover it
@@jthememeking would have been weird if the item that mentions dispelling darkness was given to you before you dispelled the darkness
Hey Austin! Just wanted to point out something about @6:12
You mentioned needing to go into every single cave to get the entrances, but if you're inside the cave, you can simply walk onto the mound where each entrance spits you out and it will count that entrance, which is much faster than going up and down over and over
Thank you. Will definitely 100% this game
I do a 1000% hardcore run.
This includes
Hi Austen John,
With TOTK I still haven't started the storyline.
I love the fact that the uploads just keep coming! Awesome content EVERY TIME! 🔥
As a content and SEO lead I salute you for fighting against misinformation on Google Austin! Thank you for your diligence and hard work!
@@m000dyblues9i think he meant the yiga schematics
6:24 you can just stand on the top of the sand mounds in the cave to register them
Two weeks since last post? You good Austin?
The device dispenser in the Left-Leg Depot, that was it
The Akkala Bridge Ruins is one of the last of two locations so far on my map, but it didn't show as discovered despite having already gotten the korok seed there.
Beware of this, there could be locations in the overworld you may have thought you gone to but didn't show up as discovered.
I had a cave entrance where I went there, went back there, ran in circles, jumped around a bit, and then rebooted my Switch before it finally appeared on my map.
Thanks so much @prestonrcasey The Akkala Bridge Ruins was the last location missing in the game, I complete the game 100%.
@@edgarloredo5033 I’m still missing one location :( but I haven’t checked where since this video
@@prestonrcasey Im so sorry, I read the comments in this video and it helped a lot. Good luck.
Gerudo caves - I didn’t go into each hole, I stood under the sand and the cave entrance well registered.
2 weeks without an AJP video is hard
Thanks to your video I just got the 100% map completion. I didn't know that you need literally all of the cave entrances lol
Only things missing for me now are the Hudson signs and around 10 Frox, 22 stone talus and 17 Hinox.
All of those are a pain since the game doesn't tell you which ones you already did so in the worst case you have to visit each location
Austin what happened? Noticed you haven’t uploaded in a while.. have been waiting for your vids ❤️
In BOTW, one thing that took me forever to discover were these small ruins of a town on the east side of Death Mountain. There's nothing great or important near those ruins so it's unlikely for someone to casually come across it. I'm sure that could be another location on the map that is holding people up from the 100%.
Do you know the coordinates for this?
@@BrettBustamante No I do not. I looked up the name and it's called Shadow Hamlet Ruins
i JUST finished putting down my final 300 stamps for my last koroks. austin john really never misses
Where did you find this out? I was getting worried about him because it seemed he just dropped off the map. Did I miss it?
@@elizabethbounds2426 Nah i just took a guess that after the huge grind he has been on he wanted to take a break
@@calamity7646 that’s my hope and why I have said anything. Your right that he deserves it.
Quick tip for the ancient altar ruins in the Gerudo desert. You don't need to go through every sand pit. Just go into one and when you are in the cave, walk over the sand pyramid thing that's forming from the sand falling from above. Doing that will register the cave entrance.
Austinjohn. I need u for Pokémon raid content. Please don’t leave meeeeee 😭😭😭
Im stuck at 99.71%...😢
Edit: i finally got the 100%
I had 100% my game a few weeks ago.
Also the Water Resorvoir (small pond to the southwest of Hyrule Castle)
OMG YOU'RE MY SAVIOR @LozMajM!!!!!!! For me it was Faron WOOODS!!! I have been in this area but somehow I didn't walk by the marker! Thank you so much!
@@VideoStalker00 When I realized that was the one location I was missing I was actually so mad lol. I could have sworn it was automatically put on the map in BotW, but for some reason, it's a discoverable one in TotK.
@@LozMajM Exactly! that's why I didn't even bother looking at it but I also swore I had walked around the area but when I looked closer using hero's path I realized I never really touched the intersection that activates the location. I was so happy when I read your comment. I had already spend like two days looking all over the three layers of maps. It was driving me insane!
over 300 hours in here and today I found out there is a 2nd Crystal Refinery -_-
When you said "both crystal refineries" I let out an audible "BOTH?!".... game story completed and there is still so much to do. thanks for the videos!
Alternate video title: "Why you SHOULDN'T 100% Tears of the Kingdom"
I include the shrine chests in my 100%. The map shows an icon when a shrine is cleared. Getting them also adds a fun extra challenge to the shrines.
I often forget what was in them after I leave the shrine, yet I have to open all of them to feel I really completed it 😅
Hope you're doing alright man 💙
He died, have you not heard the news? he got sent to jail for child pedophilia and he commit suicide in jail. Daily TOTK uploads aren't going to be a thing anymore, his son jerry is taking over the channel, the way he got caught by the police was when his son called the cops and recorded a video of him beating him with a whip with metal plating, they also pulled security camera footage and witnessed him curb stomping his wife several times. Not to mention the time a few years ago he was caught distributing meth in a white neighborhood.
Hey John, hope you're doing well in your break much thanks for the videos you've made of totk!

@@brunocbecker Same idk what happened.
@@brunocbecker same said it was privated or something
This is exactly why I decided to just follow a guide from BeardBear for the Koroks... Ain't no way in hell am I gonna sit here spending billions of hours counting all the koroks I've found just to finally find the one I'm missing...
Why no more shrine hunters😢
One tip for finding the last missing koroks efficiently:
Use the *drawing feature* of the object map!
You are a hero!!!! That was my last Korok!
That was also my last Korok seed!
Hi all, just reached 100% on my map, here were some of the locations I missed:
-Gatepost Town Ruins (Outside Great Plateau)
-Gleeok Bridge (South West of Ancient Tree Stump)
-Dining Hall (Hyrule Castle)
-Castle Town Watchtower & Water Reservoir (Both around Hyrule Castle Town Ruins)
-Faron Woods (Due south of Finra Woods in Faron)
-Smithing Construct (a shop inside the Spirit Temple)
I hope this helps anyone looking for completion. Happy hunting
This is unbelievable!
I was at 99.95% completion and my last location was literally the Ultra Ball Haul Check-In
does anyone know if Austin is okay? 😢
