Really appreciate these videos. I have been sort of quizzing myself on the patterns and sort of randomizing the videos and the drawings really help. Thank you for putting these patterns solo.
How do you tell that it is rotation 2 instead of rotation 1? After the first 3 zulrah surfaces, zulrah in rotation 1 would appear south in range mode, whereas zulrah in rotation 2 would appear west in range mode. In this vid, you seemed to know that it would surface west after the first 3 appearances. How?
He didn't, you can stand on that tile regardless of whether it's Rotation 1 or Rotation 2. Run there with Protect from Missiles + Augury, and turn off Protect from Missiles if you see that it surfaces west instead of south (as it will just spit clouds and not target you). You can also observe the snakelings that spawn and pray against them (and bring ring-switches, accordingly) if you want to hyper-optimize.
