Bro, you've got some insane timing on this vid. I just got my first zulrah kc last week for elite void, but it felt like I got lucky, not that I learned the fight that well. Then yesterday I got a zulrah task and went with 45 to try to learn it better. Spent all day banging my head against the wall, not being able to get a 2nd kill. Then finally went to youtube to see if I was missing something, feeling like I'm not actually making any progress. And now this vid comes out to remind me that it takes a long time to get down is nice to hear.
(haven't watched the video yet so this may have been touched on). Zulrah does the exact same thing every time you fight it once you identify the rotation you're on. It doesn't react to you at all. You can memorize the rotations (whether you go out of your way to do so or just absorb it through a few dozen kills) and it becomes a test of how good your clicks are
@@quagleskarff just use the plug in it tells you exactl where to stand and then you just have to learn when to run there before they start spitting the venom clouds, run a serp helm and youre fine man
and try it in full crystal with serp helm dont even do mage swaps, thats how i learned and its much easier and helps you focus on only prayers and heals
"How to Learn..." YES!! This is exactly the kind of guide we need more of. Learning how to learn new content is probably one of the most important skills in the game.
Just another tip for anyone that needs it: When I was learning zulrah, I went in a few times with just prayer pots, food, anti-venom and a ring of recoil to try and see how long I could stay in the fight without actually attacking zulrah. When I got comfortable with prayer switching, eating and using the plugin at the same time, I added attacking zulrah and it got me my first kc in no time. :)
@@WildMudkipYou got me into the game and I ended up contributing to this plugin!! Your footage might be old (or you disabled the settings i added), but there are now images on each phase to show you what to pray (and no prayer icon when you don't need to pray, if you want to save prayer points!) In a way, you inadvertently contributed to this plugin, thanks for everything you do for the community kip
Thanks for the guide! Even though I only used it for 1 diary kill with mage only. I found the hardest thing about learning was trying to learn to use the plugin in addition to the new boss. It was way more manageable to just look at the game screen and react to what was in front of me. Your tip to learn 1 rotation at a time was what actually made me get a kill. I think I could now replicate the kill and bring some ranged switches.
Best guide I have seen hands down (for Ironman). Had no idea I could just hop worlds, took your advice and focused on just doing range phase and took the nerves away instantly. I don’t mind having to wait till I get that phase so this helps a ton. I barely have 80 range and magic so I’m just here to learn and hopefully get lucky, amazing guide thanks!
I got my first kill the other day because of this video. Here are my takeaways for pros and cons listed in the video: 1) I made sure to do the rotation explained in the video, as it didn’t feel too complex. I would hop worlds until I got the rotation. 2) It almost felt more convenient to just die than panic tp. Then I could bring extra food, collect my death supplies from the lady on the dock, and then deposit the extra supplies I brought. This made it so I was never starting a fight with missing supplies due to depositing dramen staff, agility summer pie, etc.. side note: getting to 71 agi and using summer pie saved me a lot of money. I wasted a lot on tp’s before I had 71 agi. 3) I downloaded a plugin to show me when I am not wearing a ring of recoil. I noticed that it would break often without me noticing, and it caused me many deaths. I could not afford a better ring. 4) I did not reset when I got to the end of the rotation. I simply did not have enough damage to kill the boss in one rotation. I made sure to use eagle eye and 15% magic buff depending on my attack style. I did not have expensive gear or insane stats, so I had to make work with what I had. My kill took 4:04. 5) I noticed that I often was not attacking right away during the jad phase. This led me to having to missing damage, and sometimes dying due to distraction with missing prayer swaps. I prioritized preparing for the jad phase by healing up and pre-swapping gear. This helped me to prepare for the incoming damage from the small snakes he spawns, and allowed me to not worry about swapping gear during jad phase. 6) if you pass jad phase and rotations change, you already have the skills to kill the boss. From this point forward, just take the boss one phase at a time, prioritizing proper prayer. I hope some of these tips will help at least one of you. Don’t give up! You can all do it!
Definitely trying Zulrah and all other Tirannwn content this coming leagues! Last Leagues I got to try SO MUCH higher level content but pussied out of raids and really difficult boss fights. This time I’m most definitely going for elf land!

this intro made me feel very good about myself lol, currently playing ironman with budget gear, and i've never really been deep into pvm or pvp, and i can't even prayer flick properly o.0 however i did manage to kill zulrah on my first attempt last week! however just barely, so i put it off until i had better gear so it would be more reliable and less resource heavy. i guess this is a calling that i can give it another go and properly grind it for that blowpipe :D thanks kip!
Congrats! 1kc zulrah is the first hard PVM encounter for irons. Corrupted Gauntlet will put you through the hyperbolic time chamber when it comes to PVM skill. Personally, I have TOA clears, have farmed GWD bosses, done a full slayer task of Vorkath, and I STILL can't prayer flick.
Finally got around to rewatching this in order to take advantage of the bugged flames of Zamorak spell at zulrah with the last update. Got a magic fang at 89 kc and 2 more days of abuse to go, cheers!!
The plugin was awful for my recent learning of zulrah on my iron. The best advice i found while learning was the following. Zulrah in the middle means switch sides. Jad phase always happen after a mage snake that has spawned both minions and clouds. Dont worry about eating during jad phase, just be full health before it spawns and focus on switching prayers when each previous attack is fired. After jad phase ends reset back to regular positioning. 76 range and 76 mage was what i learned it with. Thralls are an insane thing to have for this fight at lower levels because it brings additional consistent damage venom is easily managed with 3 lots of regular antipoison 4 doses. Also note, there is a bugged phase where poison is spat out where you need to stand to hit a range snake that happens in a second round for slow kills. Just hide behind the pillar to not get messed over.
I'm glad you suggest the strat of hopping world to fish for a rotation... I've been telling people this for years, and they always say "well its a waste of runes!!"
This was such a great video!!! I’ve been so nervous to fight Zulrah. Hearing you say you might die 20 times before you get your first kill helps me not give up so quickly after a death. I tried twice and died and kind of gave up thinking my stats weren’t good enough. 😅
With each new boss I try to learn, I expect to die a few times at least and look at the progress I make during the fight. It makes learning a lot more bearable mentally than thinking you can get it first try.
One tip that helped me: If you have 94 magic, bring Vengeance. Whenever you see a ranged attack flying at you in mage phase, click the skull. The faster fight is nice, but the real benefit is mental - you're not annoyed that zulrah hit you for a 41 with nothing you could do to stop it any more, you're happy about the free damage. It turns an annoying resource drain into a win-win.

I never comment so this is an excpetion, your video really helped me get my first kc, i focused on one rotation that you recommended and had the rotation map on the screen, it made it so easy that i killed zulrah on my first attempt with your help. Elite void here i come!
@@WildMudkip i do have a question though, i have ibans, or just got warped sceptre. Should i proceed with one of those? Or should i get 3 more slayer lvls and go for trident first?
I'd wait to get trident because nothing you get from zulrah will really help with those 3 slayer levels, but getting those 3 slayer levels for trident will help a lot for zulrah
What clicked for me is realizing that every time zulrah shows up in the middle, you should move to the other side of the island. After learning that, all you really need to keep track of is when the jad phase comes, other than that you will do fine just reacting until you have it memorized.
That's what every other guide on youtube suggests doing which is why I made this one. For people that struggle with just reacting to whichever of the 4 rotations comes up and don't realize there's an alternative

So I am disabled and have a bad hand, this makes switches and most mechanic heavy bosses especially difficult, do you have any tips specifically for someone not doing switches? I'm willing to spend gp if needed but im not rolling in it. Ranged attack 184, ranged str 130 and 155 (magic) being my lowest defense.
Would that world hopper plug in be considered auto hot keys? Just wondering because i still to this day think i got banned becuase i was dumb fast with my glory one click tele, shift change, but im not sure why i got banned for botting, either way great guide homie.

Wouldn't it easier to learn doing a ranged or mage only kill so you don't have to worry about switches?
I don't know if this is efficient or not, but i like bringing 2 guthix rests instead of anti poison. They heal and get rid of venon and allows u to use thralls
I never got a zulrah KC until after I got full crystal and bowfa. I've tried switches after and still seems to be easier for me to just range the whole time
What can I do if i dont have 87 slayer for the trident? I was considering ibans blast, but i also need to use cure me as I dont have 87 herblore. Any tips?
I wouldn't learn zulrah without a trident as an ironman. Nothing you get from zulrah is gonna help you get 87 slayer. So if you plan to get the slayer level eventually you may as well get a trident before zulrah, and get your combats up along the way. You could also use the warped sceptre if you're in a rush to learn zulrah but I can't think of a situation to rush zulrah drops as a low level iron
Zulrah made easy: You ONLY stand on 2 squares per side 1 on the tips of the U and 1 behind the pillar right before the curve. Move two squares away when melee phase on tips. Everytime zulrah is in the center is when you swap sides. jad phase mage on left ranged on right. The fight is literally that simple. no need to learn any rotation when doing the above it'll be muscle memory before you hit the death cost threshold.
Tho i haven't played in a year, after watching bunch of guides what helped me was to remember 1 single thing and forget about all pattern n all and just do one thing that is whenever zulrah pops in mid either top or mid of Island after first spawn start running towards the other side of horse shoe island it will save u from poison cloud. Praying is easy as u can c when she pops out and know what to pray. If ur stat is good enough u really dont reach zad point but if u do and u r targeting ur first kill just keep praying single protection either mage or range and eat through zad phase! After getting bofa it became easy, i was killing zulrah 1.20min to 1.50min avg. never faced zad mode again. PS: sorry for my bad English, not native!
My first death was after 2kc... But i would be lying if i said getting my first kill took less than 30 tries. Can i ask why i get hit really hard when im ( to my knowledge) properly swapping on the JAD phase? I am swapping at the head dip, but seem to be taking big hits? It could be the suicide snakes but yeah anyone got advice
Zulrah went from a boss I thought I'd never get the diary kc for to my second highest killed. Impatience was the biggest obstacle while learning. I'm approaching 7k kc there and it's a boss I do to relax now.
I'm gonna have to disagree about 3 way switching while learning. If you're not very high range and mage, or if you're using Iban's or lower dps options, then having too low of dps will make learning VERY hard as you won't consistently get the kc on the first rotation. The second rotation breaks all of the rules and is really discouraging for people trying to make sense of the boss.
You shouldn't be learning zulrah with ibans/warped and low stats. Especially after the blowpipe nerf, nothing you get from zulrah is gonna help you afk to 87 slayer for trident and higher cb stats. My bad for not mentioning that in the video
Zulrah is a fantastic boss, but I don't really like how hard you can get shafted on the mage phase sometimes. Sometimes her mage phase just makes you eat like 6 food because of her unavoidable ranged attacks + her spawns stacking you out. It makes it very hard to consistently get more than 2 kills per trip in mid gear.
Vorkath was so easy for me to learn, i enjoyed it enough to reach 2500kc... Zulrah, however...stopped at 16kc, simply didn't enjoy the boss. Now that i'm maxed combat, might try again.
and i suggest every9one to try it i hit CONSTANT 40-48's against zulrah in green or blue faze and i get most kills in under 1:45, i bring a craws bow for specs when hes in blue faze and i cant but if your rich you could bring zaryte c bow with ruby dragon bolts e and fucking wreck him if you can afford it
I can't get the damn jad phase down i switch still get hit it's so unbelievable how I can have the right prayer up and just get hit for a 30 every time switch to get hit for a 26 switch then die it's insane
Lol i used zulrah helper plugin i got it on my 2nd try with 8 way switch and i wasnt good at it,now i can afford bowfa and my trips are long but i still dont know the rotations by heart i just use the helper tells me where to stand and what phase is next and ive learned what’s happening next also when zulrah stops shooting you and start shooting snaklings pray mage to avoid damage from snakelings they attack with magic the phases he only shoots venom and snakelings i pray mage to reduce damage and i use less food
I’ve been feeling really discouraged by this boss. I’ve died about 10 times, with my closest attempt being around 1/3 of his health. I haven’t really struggled with a boss yet like this.
One thing that happened to get my first Kc, was learning that 1. On a rotation a Blue is never followed by a Blue, Green is never Followed by a Green. 2. Jad Phase is always after a Blue (In this Blue phase it spawns minions and the venom clouds) 3. Move when Venom Clouds disappear
i feel like these videos are a personal attack on me (an enlightened twitch viewer who uses a different name on twitch), because i complain about being bad at the game

I'm so glad I learned Zulrah without paying any attention to rotations. That stuff is so dumb. There's a really good non-rotational guide.
It helped a lot when I found out it can't go into the same phase/color twice.
I just recently returned to osrs excited to try out bossing, so the recent posts like these are perfect for me right now!
Welcome back to the game and gl with your pvm journey!
@@WildMudkip Awww thanks a lot mate! 🫶
You made me realize that you don’t have to be able to switch prayers just know the rotation
I have over 6k zulrah kc and I’m still watching lol
hooly this guy knows... just today i spent 4 hours wiping over and over trying to get a diary kill lol
Vorkath was so easy for me to learn, i enjoyed it enough to reach 2500kc...
Zulrah, however...stopped at 16kc, simply didn't enjoy the boss.
Now that i'm maxed combat, might try again.
I’m on almost my 7nth attempt for my first kill for diary
Im gonna try mage only with trident of swamp
We tank u from Venezuela
Good vid ty
i died to zulrah 13 times before watching this video and was not even close to beating it. But after watching this video i killed zulrah on first try.
honestly i do bofa only method and it destroys zulrah, serp helm and crystal top and bottom
and i suggest every9one to try it i hit CONSTANT 40-48's against zulrah in green or blue faze and i get most kills in under 1:45, i bring a craws bow for specs when hes in blue faze and i cant but if your rich you could bring zaryte c bow with ruby dragon bolts e and fucking wreck him if you can afford it
A very good video
Highly recommend thralls and antipoisons instead of Cure Me. They're free damage, baby!
Hey settled! Loving the new pvp hcim series. Do you think you'll ever go back and finish the godsword set from scratch series?
See that's so much harder for people like myself who play on mobile device
Watching this while I’m on my potty break. Thanks Mudkip
1400 zulrah kc still no fangs on ironman. It's hell

Hello
TY, I killed zulrah first try beacause of you!
❤
learn zulrah "proceeds to use multiple plugins" lmfaooo
Zulrah scary
One thing that happened to get my first Kc, was learning that
1. On a rotation a Blue is never followed by a Blue, Green is never Followed by a Green.
2. Jad Phase is always after a Blue (In this Blue phase it spawns minions and the venom clouds)
3. Move when Venom Clouds disappear
whatever happened to just getting better gear and hitting stuff
i feel like these videos are a personal attack on me (an enlightened twitch viewer who uses a different name on twitch), because i complain about being bad at the game
just click the snake
is this a threat?
in 2024 sheeeeeeesh
cost 100k to get your stuff back each time so not free
Wanna get 1st kc, just skip Jad phase, the rest is easy
I love you bro no homo no cap
