    As someone who is tired of the sprinkle sprinkle content, I love your take on dating. It’s so refreshing and your happiness is genuine ❤

    Yess! Totally on point for your thoughts on dates and growing with somebody rather then expecting them on their highest. People are expecting the most of other people and wanting them to do the most, but not ready to put in the effort yourself. Some valid points you are having lately!! Inspiring me to watch your videos again!

    This is such a good episode. One good thing about speaking alone is you can tell what's on your mind vs. being limited and careful what to say cos someone might have a diff perception.

      Oooh very true. I feel like being a creator though I am always thinking of what others might say though.

    I'm turning 31 in a few months and the whole biological clock thing tripped me out so much this past year! It's very real thoughts and just something you have to trust life to see how it pans out.

    And about the expensive dates: I'm actually a bit shocked that a very expensive first date is a must for some girls. (If that's their preference, sure you do you.) But for me personally, I wouldn't want that. I agree with wanting someone who is driven, who has goals and who works hard. But since I live more frugal and don't want/expect a lavish lifestyle, I would actually feel like it's a waste of money to spend that much on a first date or date in general. I'd much rather have nice, thoughtful dates at a reasonable price and know the guy isn't spending all his money on dates but rather saving up. If they make 200k a year but spending 200k that won't get you anything in the long run. I want someone who is responsible with their money and savings/investing and has a similar spending mindset like me (like rather have a nice vacation than 200 dollar meals every other day).

      Yes! Drive, work ethic, ambition, passion, etc are all something I want and look for. Being rich right now is not. I totally agree.

    As far as the biological clock (kid wise) I 1,000,000% AGREE!
    I don't care to be married or in a serious committed relationship but I complete relate to feeling like "times running out" as far as kids
    A lot of my friends started having kids fresh outta HS (18-20 Y.O.) & this year we're turning 32 & I don't have any children and want to so badly. But as you say it'll come when it's supposed to.
    To see your growth has been beautiful Natalie ❤
    It'll come to you when it's supposed to when you least expect it. You're doing amazing 😊

    I definitely agree about dating and I am on the line of wanting a guy to save and be hard working because it’s hard to want that when I myself don’t feel like I’m at that stage yet. I do feel like I am a hard worker but then again there’s months at a time where I’m just doing bare minimum to survive my mental health struggles. So trying to get the balance of not lazy and being hard working can be hard in order to attract similar people into my life (be it dating or friendships or otherwise).

    I’m moving to Miami soon and wanted to know, how do you feel about the community there? It gets a bad rep for being almost the new LA, and people only caring about money and fame/connections. What’s your experience?

    I’m the same way when it comes to podcasts! I have to either be in the car or physically doing something! Love this podcast and your channel 🩷

    Hi Nat, thanks for talking a bit about balancing everything. That was one of the question I was very curious about. 😊 You mentioned that your videos for the podcast are edited by someone else. What about the vlogs that you film? Do you edit them yourself or do you have someone help you with that?

    • @NatalieBarbu
      @NatalieBarbu  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I've been editing my vlogs myself but sometimes I will send it off to someone for a rough cut!

    The thing is, women are valued based on their youth and beauty and men are valued based on their finances, so, while growing together seems ideal, the prime time for women to settle is before they grow too old and for men, when they’ve arrived, hence why these matches of young beautiful women and older more established men has been a thing for so long.

      I’m 38, never wanted to be married and established financially. My bf is 41, divorced and also established. It works for us because I don’t want more kids and I’m still “younger”.

      @NatalieBarbu  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Such an interesting take that I didn't think of. I guess I hate how women are valued by youth/attractiveness and men by career/finances. It would be nice if both parties wanted to grow together.
