PLEASE READ THIS PINNED COMMENT BEFORE MAKING YOUR OWN COMMENT This is little guide for getting the Azov 64131 as soon as you start the game! Enjoy I am aware that you can save time with the Fleetstar by either recovering or pushing/towing it towards the garage box!
Wondering why you did not just recover the fleetstar to the garage, then realised the way your doing it would be the way to do it in Hardcore Mode for maximum cash
This game can be so much fun, but also so much stress. When I first played it I got so frustrated that I deleted the game after like.... 10 hours of gameplay, used to spend more time stuck in mud and going back to garage than actually playing the game. Only after seeing some youtube videos with tips I got back to play, and man, it is still pretty hard, but so more enjoyable now. Thanks you guys tip videos makers.
If you get bored or to hard or feel that something missing, get some mods... Trailers, Fuel adons, anything can make The game enjoyable, more fun, because to unlock what u need, The game ask u to lvl up, why to wait to reach that lvl? Put The mode u want, like better tires, snow tires from early lvl to finish some contracts în Alaska... Etc... I just finish The normal game with mods, now om HARD, no mods
@Raskacio 34 hm... 4 me is no satisfaction using cheats, they made a good game, but i feel that need improvements, have some limits, a game need to be fun, so... Here comes moders, i apreciate their work
If you get the raised suspension for the Fleetstar from near the drilling site in Black River it doesnt add too much time but helps how well the Fleetstar handles mud. Make the Taymyr part easier
You should get the Tyga asap. Instead of the 2 trips in this vid, u can do it in one trip. Get enough to buy a service frame, and enough for taking Fleet to Drowned lands in russia and taking at least the tyga back which is about 10k. And all u have to do is get to the Tyga, repair it and giv it all the fuel the Fleet has and mission is success, then give half tank back to fleet and go back to garage. BTW im playing on hard
What I did was that after you get to the Tayga the first time, transfer all of your fuel to it then recover, this time you won't need to bring the fuel trailer since the fleetstar has enough fuel to cover the remaining needed for the Tayga once you get back.
Just a tip You can winch the fleetstar into the garage area and then just jump inside it and hit enter garage. When you enter the garage it gets fueled and repaired for free. This is so you don't have to mess with the trailers.
For the Tayga, you can't just hit recover when close enough to it as it is a mission truck so you do need to repair and refuel it. Though I will concede that yes, you can drag the Fleetstar into the garage area and recover rather than repairing and refueling it (not that it is a hassle)
This truck has totally changed the way I play, my quality of life, and patience. I have broken many less controllers since getting this bad ass truck. YAY!
I passed this game 3 years ago thinking it’s boring game. Now I brought it from steam winter sale and thought why not. Loving it every minute of it even i get frustrated trying get job done so i gave up and trying find quick way to get better truck and stuffs lol so i did everything you did in this video and i got that best truck and now im getting jobs done and enjoying the game. I could had buy this game 3 years ago lol.
I have a friend who is telling me to get the azov but personally I really enjoy using the fleetstar lol but thanks for the tutorial, I will get this when I play again
Thanks for the video! I’ve actually completed Michigan almost entirely and just entered Alaska, but this will allow me to get both the Tayga and the Azov right now 👍🏼
Thank you for this video. Helped a lot. I detached the trailer several times, winched the truck to trees, then winched the trailer to the truck. It all worked out.
Imagine playing the game at launch when the GMC didn't have awd or diff lock. You'd have sold that thing immediately and just used the Fleetstar for everything
Interesting. When I first made it to the garage..I dragged the fleetstar to the garage. Jumped in it, accessed my garage and it repaired it. Did not know the trailer was a repair trailer. Just got the game for free and was getting a little frustrated but, I'm giving it more of a go before calling quits. I do love the game alot though.
Same here - got in it and "recovered" it to the Garage. Whereupon I immediately sold it. LOL Bought the International Loadstar 1700 as soon as I could. Beast of a Scout for initial maps.
I just went to all the vehicles on the map and got in them and hit recover. Even the koiak or whatever that was literally underwater and needed full repair lol. Just get in and recover and it will fix and refuel lol.
I did most of what you said and I ended up using the Tayga to take back the fuel tank. Towing the service trailer and driving the fleet star back after work. Thanks for the video; the tutorial helped a lot. Might keep the Tayga for a while haha.
i just got this game on gamepass with dlc, i did all this work before realizing that i could just sell one of the trash dlc trucks. now i have the tayga and the asov
This is a good video, and I didn't know I could do this. What you should have done instead of pulling a fuel trailer all the way back up to refuel the Tayga is just empty the fleet star into Tayga, then recover fleet star, then drive back and top off Tayga with fleet star. That way you don't have to pull a trailer on second trip. The Tayga needs 88 gallons, you had 48 gallons left in fleet star you can dump into Tayga, then you only need 40 more gallons. When you recover FS it refuels to 64 gallons. Without pulling a trailer it's easier and uses less gas, so when you drive to Tayga you will have more than the 40 that Tayga needs. Use the FS to dump 40 gallons into Tayga. Then recover both vehicles. I have played enough hours to know how to juggle fuel. I always refuel whenever I can as a rule as well. Nothing worse than running out of gas in sight of an objective.
Yeah there are a few different things I could have done. I made this just after the game came out so was still learning myself, missing a few "life hacks" for Snowrunner but thanks!
@@DecPlays_ Well, you make some great videos! I wouldn't have guessed you were a new player by your videos, I thought I discovered a trick the pros didn't know. I've been playing for about 5 months and I still feel like a beginner, there is so much to know.

I recommend taking service thing on the truck and service trailer, so u only drive once, also i drove around the mud on the left side, worked better for me
Random tip about the truck parked outside the garage @8:20 can be dragged into the square like I did with a winch. I didn't know that maintenance had to be bought to the truck at that point but molested it into the garage.
If you go into the garage first you don't have to do any of that with the trailers to fix the broken truck out front of the garage. You can just change vehicle and recover.
For the kids that struggle i finished the game with all 6 dlc i used Michigan trucks in Maine amur and imandra i used what i want wher i wanted gmc 9500 its a good truck even that is highway truck i got all the trucks with time did not rush
Love the video, really helpfull. One thing i did different was i got the raised suspension which was very helpfull in the moments you had a bit of an issue. Anyway i now have a very good truck at level 2.
For easy mode think it’s more efficient to sell off the trucks to start and pick up the 5070 with the better tires, then go grab the tayga. Wouldn’t be able to do it in hard mode though.
Once you unlock offroad tires tires you are good to go. Just remember, always use either UOD II or OHD I if your truck is a dually. Or OHS II if your truck run singles. Those are the 3 best offroad tires. Running UOD II on a Offroad gearbox I'm even able to get the Transtar clawing it's it's way though a bit of mud now. Obviously they can't keep up to the AWD trucks, but with the right tires and using medium low, you can get trucks like the Transtar and Ford CLT9000 clawing their way though that mud pit that's by the Black River garage. It's certain not bad for trucks with no AWD, no diff-lock, no special custom tires or in the case of the Transtar no lift kit.
I got it just now, about 40 hours in the game. I bought with my own made money. And I don’t regret it. In my opinion everything should come when it comes
I seen this video after I had done some other jobs. I had raised suspension and all terrain tires. I used van body on fleetstar and pulled the yellow maintenance trailer in 1 shot to get this truck. You are more top heavy but easier to pull the lighter trailer and good traction with weight on back.
^This should be at the top^ There's no need to make that run twice, and naked chassis make awful tractors. Still super appreciate the video though, very useful info, even if you've been playing a couple of weeks already. Plenty of room for clever operators to optimize this strategy, so keep your game face on truckers!
A few seconds maybe. Though this guide is very old now to be honest. There are plenty of really good trucks to use, especially if you have the DLC content
@@DecPlays_ I know, late to the party! Lol. I popped over to Tamyr, but had a different truck list to buy, no Russian trucks for sure. Is that because I skipped Alaska?..
Thanks for this tutorial, I bought the azov and instantly went for both trailers back on the hill and pulled them back both at once. This thing is a beast 👌
You dont have to repair or refuel the Fleetstar. I towed it into the garage zone, switched over to it, and then recovered it. Immediately fixes and refuels the truck.
I have never been so frustrated and excited at playing this game lol getting stuck everywhere is half the fun for me. But jeez it take forever to get anything done sometimes
I know, right! I spent 4 hours playing today and opened the 2 maps in Alaska, and did the Pluck The Truck mission to get the Derry Longhorn 3194. I spent about 2.5 hours trying to pull it out. I had 2 trucks on scene and it was like a puzzle to figure out.
@@joemay6907 you are so right. I think the tasks, and even the menus, are left vague for the player to figure out on their own. A lot of the game is like that, figuring out what to do is the fun part. In a way, this game is like a puzzle game.
I just switched to the fleetstar and went into the garage and it repaired everything on it for me. Why not just drive the Chevy to the Tayga with the chevy, discover it, then switch to it and recover it to the garage. Once at the garage just click enter garage and it will fix the truck for you.
Taken me about 3 and a bit hours to get this. I been to Tayga truck lots of times. Taken me 3 service trailers (bought) then I didn't realise I had to accept the task to action it, so it would recognise i had completed it. So first time I finally got to the truck, I taken the first original truck back to the garage but when I clicked on the map the tayga wasn't showing up. I was baffled why at first but realised it was probably because I had not activated the task. So I had to accept the task , fix the tayga again with the services trailer, then refuel...again..But because I wasted so many service trailers (them toppling over etc) I didn't have enough to buy the beast truck...yet. it was obvious if I sold the tayga I wouldn't have enough to buy the even better truck so I am going to have to make some money in the game with the tagya before I buy rhe beast, thanks. But was painfully tedious getting the tagya...Well worth it though. P.s was mortified when you said to sell it after all that to get it. But changed the game for me too. Definitely easier. Can't tell you how many hours I wasted playing this game and got nowhere.
Don't forget that you can sell the trailers (unless you're in hard mode) so it isn't money lost on those. It's okay I've they have flipped over. Sorry it cost you so much time
@@DecPlays_ thanks i got 3 service trailers on their side around where the tagya was. I don't see an option to sell them there. Do I have to drag them back to the garage/or trailer store?
@@DecPlays_ BTW tried to take planks to church and nothing highlighted as to where to drop them. What am I doing wrong? Been great since I upgraded truck but depressing I am doj g a task and the planks are not accepted. Thought I was getting somewhere. This said it is a great game just this kind of thing is baffling for me. I am even thinking to enquire what steering wheel to buy. But that's all on hold until I figure out why I can't do this task. :) P. S one other thing is I am very bad at reading maps. This is obviously essential for this game. But I am getting used to it. In other words it's actually teaching me how to do something I have never been good at. Many times find I am going on the correct road but in the opposite direction 😂 but it's the compass that obviously helps with that.
@@zombeat7376 is the task/objective the active one in the top right of the screen? If not you won't be able to unload. For maps, always keep North pointing upwards and you can set GPS markers on there if you're unsure where to go
Could have just towed the fleetstar into the garage entrance area, switched to the fleetstar, and enter the garage, the fleetstar will repair itself, and you don’t have to fart around with any trailers, saves so much time.
There are a lot of other comments about this. Can actually just switch trucks then hit recover. But for people seeing this first time around, better to show full process
The thing is tho you don’t have to repair and refuel the fleetstar you can just get in and recover it to the garage and it fixes it automatically and saves you time
Nice video but for me i think it's better to do some grind to get the Paystar 5070 with decent offroad tyres and do the mission to refuel 3 times - doing the whole thing twice with winching and lock diff is just painful. So sell the Fleetstar and anything else (except the CK1500 which you still need) and as soon as you have enough get the 5070 and apply whatever upgrades you can afford but you MUST have at least something like 46" AHSD1. Also, the 5070 is vastly more capable than the Fleetstar and is fun to use - I did more or less the whole of Black River and Smithville Dam in it and kept getting upgrades as I could afford them.... almost had a tear in my eye when I eventually sold it. Anyway, there is always more than one way to skin a cat and I know you were new to it but to me your way just felt like a lot of unnecessary grind. Also, not sure why you towed the CK1500, you could have just recovered it couldn't you?
Damn I just past the afternoon struggling to pull back my tanker trailer and my repair one is there any way to revover them by skipping the job to do it manually back to the garage and sell them ? My other problem is that I stop your video after we found the truck and I kept it instead of selling it 🙄
Metal and then two wood. You can save time by hooking up the trailer at the lumber mill (just below where you get the M9500) and then get the metal beams (or get the beams then the trailer). Saves a trip back to get the second load.
this is why when i installed the PTS and had to start over i remebered the scout 800 and royal went and got them right away use the scout to get the royal then use the royal to get this being its better in mud than the fleetstar
@@JEST3R_ But then how do you get the original vehicle you travelled with back? Aren't you exchanging vehicles the entire time like this? Is there a simple way to get every vehicle you own into a garage at the same time?
I like what you did here man but, hear me out. The pay star is also available at rank one. Sell your other trucks to buy the pay star, use it to get the azov. No struggle.
bit late to the party as i only recently got the game. checked other tutorial also and i ended up finding something else that neither you or the other tutorial mention. the other tutorial says to find as many trailers possible in michigan and sell them, and do a couple missions enough to get the money to buy the azov truck in the russian map. i did however found that by upgrading the fleetstar with awd and going to the watchtower near the warehouse, not too far from the garage, with a bit of mud and winching to get there as there is a quite muddy and steep road up on the way there, but doable, activating the watchtower unlocks an upgrade icon that leads to another truck, a chevy truck. just recover it to the garage and it gets fixed, dont even need to drive to repair it. Selling that chevy and the gmc, with some trailers, will give enough money to buy the azov straight away. maybe do some easy missions in case you get short, but the chevy was sold for 30k+ alone. after selling those 2 trucks and some trailers, and a couple missions i had 100k+ already, plenty to buy the azov. and it might be easier to play in the 1st map than in the russian one to get the truck.
Seems like you're enjoying the game so that's great. There were a lot of unknowns when the video was made to be honest. Came out around a month after the game was released. I did this myself in a slightly different way too but for speed, not much beats the method
@@Marcompam Unless it's a real crawl I don't really see speed as much of a downside. In rough tricky areas speed isn't what you want. Even on hard ground speed will get some suspension and tyre damage. But it's a real slogger. One of the Voron trucks, D I think, is another really good early game truck

Hard mode wasn't a thing when this video came out though there is a different guide on the channel for hard mode

Got it today thanks to you!
Great tutorial and the azov is great but I don't think it's quite the best.
Fair enough Zach! Do you have a truck that you could deem "the best"?
@@DecPlays_ well i would call my Tayga and Ank Mk 3(with maintenance trailer u should know why) and Kolob 74761 the best
Yeah the Ank Mk38 is pretty darn rapid
i am still level 7 and can not afford mudtires on any vehicels :(
If you can, try some of the easier logging missions as the newer mission's rewards are lots of money and experience
i wish i would have seen this sooner! great tutorial!
New to the game. How long do you explore Alaska before the trip back to Black River? Great work btw 👍🏼
@@sag2974 Can only buy Russian trucks in Russian regions and same for American trucks. Truck list will differ slightly due to added content
Thanks for this tutorial, I bought the azov and instantly went for both trailers back on the hill and pulled them back both at once. This thing is a beast 👌
Yes it is! I love the Azov and tiyga
Idk if someone has said this but once you repair the truck you can take it into the garage and it will fuel it up
Thanks dude just started two days ago qnd thus helped alot much love
Thanks a lot Wayne, enjoy your trucking!
@@DecPlays_ same here mate I just started, thanks a lot
@@Baraxes Thanks and enjoy!
Awesome video!. I sold quite a bit more dlc vehicles (Steam sale in 2022) and used the Ank civilian truck. Made this trip a lot easier
You can winch the Fleetstar into the garage entry space, switch to it, then enter the garage, and its fully ready.
Why, faster to recover
You dont have to repair or refuel the Fleetstar. I towed it into the garage zone, switched over to it, and then recovered it. Immediately fixes and refuels the truck.
The GMC now has AWD and diff lock
Thank you :) these two are amazing!
Hand down the best truck you can get early on. Is unstoppable.
It took me a while to understand the fun comes from your own challenges of getting out of sticky situations rather than just completing tasks
@@joemay6907 you are so right. I think the tasks, and even the menus, are left vague for the player to figure out on their own. A lot of the game is like that, figuring out what to do is the fun part. In a way, this game is like a puzzle game.
@@JubeProductions exactly, theres not many hints. Its just basically learning on the job😂
Thank you so much becuase with my gmc in the smallest nuts it gets suck now I demolish everything
New Sub! Great tip on winching from side not front of rig. If that service trailer woulda tipped over, could u easily stood it back up with winch?
Trailers tip pretty well when winching from the side most of the time
U helped me so much bro I truly appreciate you ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your comment!
nowadays if you go to the testing grounds area from the mod browser you can get a free azov right across from the garage
That's limited to just the Proving Grounds or else you could just spawn any truck for free
This is very helpful, I subscribed and liked. Thank you for this video.
GMC 9500 is quite good. Once you get the lift bigger/better tires and the diff locker.
Yeah it's capable, later on after the start. Don't even have all of its unlocks until Kola Peninsula
Gmc is unstable though, thats the only negative.
I only use it for recovery purpose most of the times 😂
Looks like this tutorial did you well, multiple of your top videos are tutorials. Perhaps you got to make more of them Dec
Thanks yes indeed, it's just finding the time to do so!
You can do it with only the service trailer and use the fuel from the fleet truck and Just recover and drive back up and do it again till filled
Funny how differently people think. My first instinct with the fleetstar was to just winch it into the garage zone MudRunner Style.
You don't even need to winch it to the garage. Just jump in and hit the button to recover. It's free and teleports you into the next garage
It’s amazing that you figured this out!! Cool thanks
Just started playing and I can't winch that to the recovery area. Just keep digging into the mud.. need to try again another day
Thanks for the help. I’ll have to try this all out next time I’m on the game
No worries
I just switched to the fleetstar and went into the garage and it repaired everything on it for me. Why not just drive the Chevy to the Tayga with the chevy, discover it, then switch to it and recover it to the garage. Once at the garage just click enter garage and it will fix the truck for you.
Tayga is part of a mission so you can't recover it until the mission is fulfilled.
@@DecPlays_ Thanks I didnt know that I figured since that worked on the fleetstar it would work on the Tayga
@@DecPlays_ Thank you very much for the video. I used the scout and got it. The video helped a new player like me, you got a new subscriber.
@@zombeat7376 Take them back to the trailer store to sell them
@@DecPlays_ BTW tried to take planks to church and nothing highlighted as to where to drop them.
You can just winch the fleetstar to the garage spot and put it in the garage to fix it. It's a bit quicker than how you've done it :)
It's faster to recover
You can just wrench the Fleetstar to the garage area and enter with it, then it's fixed
Nice gonna give it a run tomorrow.
The thing is tho you don’t have to repair and refuel the fleetstar you can just get in and recover it to the garage and it fixes it automatically and saves you time
I know
Thanks for this vid! :D
Swap to the broken truck and recover it? No need to use the utility trailer. Is that different or?
It doesn't matter, as long as the truck ends up in the garage, it's just a part of the tutorial
You can straight away jump into the fleestar and return it to garage and it will automatically repair and refill for free

My other problem is that I stop your video after we found the truck and I kept it instead of selling it 🙄
Why go back for the fuel tanker, cant you just fill up from the Fleetstar and then recover to garage ?
Did you have to put wood and metal on the first bridge or just wood?
hey bro..im new player too ..u wanna coop and play togather sometimes?
Metal and then two wood. You can save time by hooking up the trailer at the lumber mill (just below where you get the M9500) and then get the metal beams (or get the beams then the trailer). Saves a trip back to get the second load.
this is why when i installed the PTS and had to start over i remebered the scout 800 and royal went and got them right away use the scout to get the royal then use the royal to get this being its better in mud than the fleetstar
I’ve got to the tayga with the service trailer and it is not letting me repair the tayga and I am really close to the tayga
Have you made it the active mission?
@@DecPlays_ 🤦🏻♂️ well now I feel stupid 😂 thanks bud
@@craighaggerty01 that's alright I've made that mistake too :D
Helpful video, thank you
Hey can’t u just get in the other truck and recover it then u instantly get gas and fix it
Yep. It's what I do with every stranded truck I find
@@JEST3R_ But then how do you get the original vehicle you travelled with back? Aren't you exchanging vehicles the entire time like this?
Is there a simple way to get every vehicle you own into a garage at the same time?
Don't think so but a mass recall option would be good
@@grandbuba you can recall that vehicle too. Just select it on the map
I like what you did here man but, hear me out. The pay star is also available at rank one. Sell your other trucks to buy the pay star, use it to get the azov. No struggle.
What tires does it come with though, if they're still highway tires then not much point?
@@DecPlays_ off road tires
This. The Paystar 5070 stomps the Black River map - even with highway tires, but you can upgrade to all terrain.
Smart play my guy
Thanks
Thanks so much Helpful tutorial :)
bit late to the party as i only recently got the game. checked other tutorial also and i ended up finding something else that neither you or the other tutorial mention.
the other tutorial says to find as many trailers possible in michigan and sell them, and do a couple missions enough to get the money to buy the azov truck in the russian map.
i did however found that by upgrading the fleetstar with awd and going to the watchtower near the warehouse, not too far from the garage, with a bit of mud and winching to get there as there is a quite muddy and steep road up on the way there, but doable, activating the watchtower unlocks an upgrade icon that leads to another truck, a chevy truck. just recover it to the garage and it gets fixed, dont even need to drive to repair it.
I did this myself in a slightly different way too but for speed, not much beats the method
the only cons i see on the azov is being slower and a small turn radius, but a beast to go through all the mud and watered areas no doubt.
One thing the throw me off is that the trucks can roll forward or back when in any gear and even when your lockers are on .
Thanks for the advise I had ago on weekend and got stuck straight away lol then gave up haha will have another bash at it another time I'm sure
I started playing this game three day ago, completely addicted 😩
