@@Theoloop I understand why they have it the way it is for low speed driving, but they really need to have the tire recenter past a certain speed or gear.
The camera too, the majority of the time it's good, but in certain areas or trailers it forces you to look straight down making it impossible to drive. Lost a trailer last night because I couldnt see
@tom tom Yes and no. They are generally placed where they are because a task on the map will require the resource. But you can just source the resource from a building if you have it unlocked.
Good tips. I'd also strongly suggest when first exploring the maps to unlock watchtowers and collect upgrades, if you are close to a "task" icon you should drive up to it and activate it (don't have to actually do the task) and this then adds it to your task list in the menus so you can see the task details (source/destination locations etc.) Also if you find the steering a bit weird with a controller you NEED to go into settings and change the steering mode from "Controller" to "Steering Wheel" (yeah makes no sense) and it works much better
The biggest tip in the biggest trick to this game is always take two trucks wherever you go. Leaving the garage? get two similar trucks out hook the winch up to the other one and it will automatically drive with you, now you have a convoy that pretty much can never get stuck.

Most of my time has been spent stuck in an area and trying to winch myself out for a while just for the fun of it 😁 (I hate resorting to recovering) this game is great on so many levels
Started yesterday, never played any of the SpinTires /Mud Runner games but I'm really into it so far. One thing that annoys me is that you don't really need to rescue stranded / new found vehicles. Once you're close, you can just swap to the vehicle and recover. This seems to make that part of the game a bit to easy. But I guess it's up to the player whether or not you want to use "recover" or try to properly winch it out of the muddy situation first.
For everyone complaining about the steering change the option to steering wheel. Itll auto straighten out like normal driving games your used to. Just a heads up

*Here's an essential trick that carries over from the older Spintires games:* Constantly steer lock to lock (left to right, vice versa) when you're going through mud and water. It'll get you through faster, helps prevent you from getting stuck, or even get you unstuck if you can't winch or pull the truck out. It's extremely useful and I do it all the time. SD1ONE has a helpful video on it.
Another tip is when youre carrying speed but hit mud/snow/swamp and dont want to lose momentum waiting for the driver to shift to 1st if you tap the L1/LB button it will shift into the correct gear
I’ve said it before I’ll say it again you are the best and maybe the only channel doing things like this that truly help and answer the real questions real gamers have.
Definitely pay attention to cargo needed in certain areas for current and future cintracts... if you're traveling far across the map, check all cargo needed in that area and take as much as possible... So this with a truck with a crane so you can drop cargo off and it's at or close to future contracts so you don't have to transport repeatedly across the same areas.. thus saving time and fuel, plus getting money and xp faster
Clearing roadblocks is another good way to level up fast and it can be fun too BTW. Just go map to map (1st 3 maps) find the watchtowers then clear the roadblocks by the time you finish that you should have enough upgrades unlocked to effectively make it in some of the roughest spots
@@sigaries4062 I've had some glitches too, I hauled concrete and metal to build a bridge on Drummond Island, the metal worked, but when I selected the concrete, it just disappeared. Also the camera changes to top down randomly and it's extremely obnoxious.

To add to this, I just got an expensive flat bed trailer that I bought for doing missons/transporting materials and I got it stuck in the mud, is there anyway to recover it? My vehicle got stuck so that's out of the equation I think.
I have a feeling the recovering of trucks you literally find damaged in the wild to fix and sell them right then and there, rather than having to manually repair and drive them back, will be patched out.

I've also done some work on the countryside and, I have to tell you, no self-respecting business would ever allow their grounds to become a mudhole. Even in rainy days they'll use sand or even lime to always allow any vehicle to do its job. This game is made for stupid urbanites that think that their mom's Chevrolet Equinox can go offroad. It's made for moronic people that will never ever get dirty or use a winch in real life. The game's concept (deliveries, repairs, rescues) is actually GREAT, I would've only added some kind of offroad trials mode where you have to traverse some zone without hitting the poles that mark the way or use reverse. The driving physics and the terrain physics? 2/10, absolutely horrendous, an insult to anyone that has ever done any offroading.

Tip 1: Let’s say you need carry 8 spaces of cargo to a place. Most trucks can carry 2 spaces. Some trailers can carry 2 or 4. You can hook your truck up to a trailer, and winch another trailer. That saves you an entire trip. 2. If you want to move 2 trucks from same place to same place, you can winch your truck too. It maybe slower but it saves you a trip. 3. You can sell your trailers or out in the wild trailers at the trailers shop, so you can spend that on upgrades or new trucks.
Me and my friend play co-op the whole time when i host the server and get trucks that are found on the road only i get them but when he hosts a server and get a truck on the road he gets them and I don’t why is that? Is it like a game mechanic or something?
Another potentially amazing game I'm giving a pass for just being on Epic Store. Good job Focus Home, lol. (I own both MudRunners and Spintires, this game would be right up my alley).
I bought this game because it was on a sale and I’ve had my eye on it for a while, once it was downloaded I immediately played it and loved it!! I’ve only played it once recently but I can tell I’ll love it :’D
Is there a trick to the turning in this game, I find myself often over turning or not straightening my wheel at the right moment and crashing or just swerving left and right.
Yeah, the steering doesn't self center as quickly as in most "vehicle games". I think it is deliberately made so to make the more advanced mud and snow driving easier (like steering dampers/shocks on a off road truck IRL) I do the same and I have played Mudrunner for several hours before this (although it was some time ago) . You'll get the hang of it. Keep on offroading!
Thank you very much for the replies, I’ll try doing that instead. I’ve played mudrunner before but got frustrated with the steering and stopped playing. I didn’t feel like doit the same with this one.
What I usually do when turning is turning fully to the left/right when entering a corner, then when I'm halfway through the corner I slowly release my joystick and when exiting the corner I do small taps to correct my trajectory
@@EmilienGosselin I haven't even tried either Mudrunner or Snowrunner with my wheel yet (PC). Maybe that will feel more natural. I also think they've focused on slow off-road behaviour of the steering. The on road driving is unnaturally slippery on dry tarmac as well. Still a great game IMO, one just have to adjust. I agree with Squirrel that the weaving about with the arms in 1st person view is ridiculously excessive but the steering physics is OK.
This is so helpful as I’ve only just got the game for my Switch, and it’s the first game in the series I’ve played! A great Scout that can handle all terrains is perfect for getting to those tough locations early on
I've thought about it, imo, it would be pretty difficult to control the camera (many adjustments needed in many areas of the map) while constantly battling with the steering. So maybe the controller is best?
The devs said they'll have support out soon. Because of Covid-19, they weren't able to get it in by launch day. Rather than delay the launch, they decided to patch it in. I think one or two wheels are already there
@@pr9551 It worked fine on Mudrunner (PS4). Although admittedly I had to have the controller handy due to no right analog on the G29, but that was an oversight by Logitech. Can't fault the devs for that.

3. You can sell your trailers or out in the wild trailers at the trailers shop, so you can spend that on upgrades or new trucks.
Great video. I'm also taking the same approach. Watchtowers, road blocks then upgrades. Saves time in the long run.
love the "truck jokes" really gets me lol, however these bots spamming the comments grind my gears....
lol. nice 1
UHIS Family guy joke also! 😂
I’m glad I found this, serves the soul good to know I’m not the only one who plays this way
Those letters and numbers at the bottom middle of the screen while I am playing bother me lol
Yea. They added that in the day 1 patch for some reason. Wasn't always like that
Perfect video thank you. The rest were 20+ minutes and I just needed the general high level ideas.
i just need to know a good music playlist to hear while playing this game
if your trucking search up a trucker playlist, makes the immersion good if that's what you want
The-JoKeRFoXtRoT Fleetwood Mac
Just picked this game up the other day, and all of the tips in this video helped tremendously.
Me and my friend play co-op the whole time when i host the server and get trucks that are found on the road only i get them but when he hosts a server and get a truck on the road he gets them and I don’t why is that? Is it like a game mechanic or something?
Yes, it is. When in multiplayer only the host progresses their game. But...any other players still get money and XP
Actually, in stark contrast to most of these videos, those Tips are reeaally helpful! Cool Video, thank you!
Welcome
Another potentially amazing game I'm giving a pass for just being on Epic Store. Good job Focus Home, lol. (I own both MudRunners and Spintires, this game would be right up my alley).
I bought this game because it was on a sale and I’ve had my eye on it for a while, once it was downloaded I immediately played it and loved it!! I’ve only played it once recently but I can tell I’ll love it :’D
I am currently playing and the trailer I was towing is flipped over in a river, how do I recover it? Can you teleport trailers back to the garage?
Not as far as I know. Have to try to winch it out. If it is part of a quest, you can choose to reset it.
use winch
Use a crane attachment for one of your trucks. Super useful.
i read the comments on how to winch to other players i was so lost..... but thanks for posting it👌🏻
Is there a trick to the turning in this game, I find myself often over turning or not straightening my wheel at the right moment and crashing or just swerving left and right.
Tap the steering instead of holding it down when u turn also pump the gas going around corners. You gotta be gentle with the steering and gas pedal.
Yeah, the steering doesn't self center as quickly as in most "vehicle games". I think it is deliberately made so to make the more advanced mud and snow driving easier (like steering dampers/shocks on a off road truck IRL)
I do the same and I have played Mudrunner for several hours before this (although it was some time ago) .
A great Scout that can handle all terrains is perfect for getting to those tough locations early on
Here is an early game question: Why is there no console wheel support on a D R I V I N G……S I M U L A T O R in 2020??
The rule for force feedback is it’s only in games that don’t need it
@@graceshiflett6526 I know this is a joke, but ffb in f1 games is really necessary I find.
Thanks bro , this game is freaking fun ( for some strange reason ) and these tips are very helpful in making it even more entertaining , cheers !!
NA PIECE IM WITH YOU ON THIS PIECE, THIS GAME IS A FIRE PIECE
Kinda seems like death Stranding with trucks, is that accurate?
I think they modelled a trailer after a death stranding one so yeh
More like death stranding is based on Mudrunner and Spintires except that's on foot
This is a new game for me. I see it as a way to learn business management and honing my driving skills. The graphics are phenomenal and so far the vehicles feel realistic. The interior cab view is perfect.
How to recover or respawn trailer to the garage
U cant
That would be cheating and pointless for the game only vehicles can be recovered
Just got the game and saw this video pop-up while downloading. Google's got the predictive model down to spooky levels. Great Video, as usual, gold tips in a concise video.
I find all these random trucks in different places, but can switch into them. Also, they turn on when I tow them... But I can’t get into them???
theyre probably part of a rescue mission
Talentless Cult So you can’t obtain those vehicles?
@@peterpumpkineater5927 you can in other instantes but not in those ones no
Talentless Cult Gotcha
Subbed. Great video my dude
Thanks!
This game is like dark souls but vehicles
Your explanation of multiple truck management was very helpful. Thanks!

I just clicked on this vid paused half way purchased the game finished vid liked and subbed, thank you.
This game is the most addicting game I’ve ever played, super rewarding
Hey appreciate you taking the time to do this video! Love this game but I just can't seem to get the hang of it but I think I was jumping into contracts too soon but I'm going to try it your way
I just started playing yesterday. I found out the useful tip if you get stuck in mud or snow or etc.. Try steer left and right repeatedly, it might help you get out of sticky situation.
Thanks man its my first video for help with snowrunner and that 6 minutes had crucial tips id need u definitely got my subscription 👍🏽💪🏾👌🏾🙌🏾👋🏾
Great tip! Recover and sell trucks!! Damn that's smart 👍
A couple of hours in and found this very helpful, thanks
Even though I'm kinda experienced at the game this actually really really help. I appreciate it😎
this was the help i have been looking for as a newby... to the point ... thank you
You just saved the game for me. I have all my trucks in the garage and can never come save myself. Thank you sir
