Much prefer this method of ranking than an arbitrary "A to F" ranking. It gives an idea of what's important and what supports other things. Also, remember that BRIEF period when Jean Grey was a staple in the meta? Those were nice times...
i was waiting for you to get to nico! well played sir! i love these videos because you don’t spend too much time on the cards that don’t really need exposition.
My FAVORITE format thus far. I really appreciate your tone. Terms like “replacement level” and “fine” are so good at tamping down FOMO. Wish I had less of the “dookie” cards. But I didn’t need a video to make me wince when I look a Selene in my collection.
I will vouch for Namora. I've used her to glide into infinite for the past 3 seasons (only not doing it during her own season), and Wong Namora legitimately feels really strong when played well, and contains some really fun cards that used to not really see any meta play (Wong/Odin/White Tiger).
Great Content, Deserves Engagement, so here's a comment that should help with all the metrics because it's got lots of words in it, and maybe people who also like the content will upvote it like I did to a bunch!
I like this format as opposed to the vague-but-damning A-F tier list most creators lean on. Not only do you save time not having to define the criteria for the groupings but it also solidifies the fact that nearly every card in the game is playable. It's also a little sad that we have to have a Kang tier, but holy shit am I glad he's not a playable card with his current text box.
Thank you for this video! I’m a new player that started playing less than 2 weeks ago and I haven’t even completed pool 2. That said, this is still a very informative, well made video for when I get to pool 3 which is hopefully soon.
I understand the desire for a summary page by so many viewers but the amount of nuance and detailed "why" for each and every tier would be completely lost to those that skip to it. Ive re-watched this video several times over the season to re-think my spending plans and keep my play enjoyableand highly recommend it! Much appreciated jeff!
Agree with 99% of everything but Caiera is definitely not replaceable imo, armor is not the same as a full boardwide protection. But also wouldn’t spend 6k tokens on it. Unless you’re really planning on playing Zoo. Kang will get a rework one day🤞 Like that the best cards are at the end of the video
Caiera is key in my Arishem deck where I generally play up to 3 6-cost cards (Blob, Alioth, Mockingbird, randoms). She's also great for getting into lands like Altar of Death, Death's Domain, Vormir or Danger Room with 1s or 6s.
Hey man, Subscribed! I sooo love your channel how you place the cards with its description while explaining. Thanks for this man, very helpful for new players like us. This channel is Gold !
Yeah, gonna just echo what i see a lot of comments jeff and say i like the way you decided to do this with the tiers. Always so informative, common jeff W
Just what I needed, as I skipped a month recently and have been pondering which missing card to spend my tokens on (probably going for Thena, as Sage, Cannonball & USAgent are coming up in Caches soon).
Really like these videos. I know that it leads to poor engagement cause people can skip the video, but as a visual person I'd love to see all the cards in an actual tier list graphic at some point.
Unfortunately, these videos are the most recording and editing work of anything on the channel, so I can't justify doing more work to let people skip watching it.
took a year off of marvel snap after putting 1000+ hours into the game its first year after release, i knew straight where to come to figure out where to focus my spending, thanks as always jeff :) only recommendation is bringing back the tier list format as an image at the end if nothing else, something easy to screenshot and hold on to that lets you see a complete list
Great video, love this structure w one caveat: late “Buy These” category wasn’t expected, so I was confused when I noticed Nocturne missing earlier, and some one just watching the beginning for early top picks might have missed. Could maybe still include the “Buy These” early?
Finally pulled the trigger on mockingbird for 4/4 keys this week. Just couldnt pass with all the hype thats surrounded her since i came back to the game. Heres hoping i find her as fun/useful as ive heard 🤞 but hey! A new card is a new card
A card’s placement in upcoming spotlight caches will influence what I’m targeting with tokens. Having that information in the video would be helpful (eg if a card has a date, placing it underneath the card image) and would save me having to correlate dates on my own
My thinking was based on your previous video being two months ago, and we have spotlight datamines through end of October. Felt like enough buffer as long as the datamine dates felt solid, but if they don’t I understand the thinking.
Phastos is a card that looks really good on paper, that effect seems like it would be stupid good. But it just never seems to have the hit that its text would indicate.
Torn between Nocturne, Namora, Sage, and Werewolf. Nocturne for how good/flexible; Namora for new deck build; Sage for best in slot/good power, Werewolf for enjoying playstyle. Would getting Namora be bad without having Nocturne first since I need Nocturne for Namora deck?
I'm sort of surprised to see Phastos in the Kang Tier, I always feel at least a little bit threatened when my opponent plays a Phastos on curve. That may be because I don't own him and still don't fully understand how he works though.
As a Phastos owner and enjoyer: Jeff is right, he is terrible, if I play 50 games with Phastos, maybe, MAYBE he will win me 1 game. Maybe two if Kamar-Taj 😅
I would love to have like a summary page or board at the end of the video, so people could just pause and digest the list at their own pace. But great video overall.
Anyway to include the full tier chart (like the one in the thumbnail) near the end of the vid? Maybe during the wrap up? I personally like seeing all the information all at once.
*not a complaint* How come you say "Clutter" instead of Clog/Junk? I'm sure it's just a preference, but was wondering what the reason was if indeed there was one. Great video btw!
Man-Thing might get used now with that 2 power buff. Its a shame jean grey still hasn’t gotten a deck that works for her in the meta. The first ever new spotlight card. Was overhyped because of the new cache system only to never go anywhere.
My one quibble is that I would rank Jean in the Defining but Mediocre category. Every now and then she pops up in that one ongoing lockdown list and she feels pretty integral there.
What about Iron Lad? I’m a new player and I keep seeing people saying that Iron Lad is on of the best cards in the game and some say it’s mid. I know Jubilee could somewhat be a replacement of Iron Lad, either way, seems odd you didn’t mention it on the video
@@HooglandiaSnap oh!! I was thinking about playing a high power card on turn 6 like Orca or Giganto and then if we activate namora it will be great, but I understand it does not apply to mamy scenarios
Supergiant gives you interesting control decks to play and they are fine decks. If you look at Kang tier cards, they are all very close to completly unplayable. Supergiant definitely gives you decks to play which can be competitive.
Check out this supergiant control shell: th-cam.com/video/29gooZm62wA/w-d-xo.html Not format breaking, but very competitive. I think most people just skipped pulling for her.
Me lisntening he talks about bounce cards being mediocre, even he liking thia kind of deck and thinking, that's what we need someone aware of the game and know how to evaluate cards, he saying that ghost spider is mediocre and i thinking, don't mess with my move enablers😁.
What crazy about pixie is she's a 2 1 with random high/ low row effect. But on the other hand Loki is 3 5 prime stat and plus draw a card and all cards replaced in deck are minus 1 cost. basically no down side effects. I hope they can bring pixie up, abit maybe 2 1 same effect plus draw a card like Loki
I respect your opinion but Hercules is the activator Phoenix Force needs to go brrrrrrrr. At least as far as it's role in Phoenix Force it isn't Kang Tier
Much prefer this method of ranking than an arbitrary "A to F" ranking. It gives an idea of what's important and what supports other things. Also, remember that BRIEF period when Jean Grey was a staple in the meta? Those were nice times...
You have very clear way of speaking and conveying a message, makes for a great listen
i was waiting for you to get to nico! well played sir! i love these videos because you don’t spend too much time on the cards that don’t really need exposition.
Most intuitive Snap tier list on the Internet. Thanks for helping me decide which cards to target over the past year!
Is there an image that summarizes this.
I like the structure but there isnt a summary page to reference.
My FAVORITE format thus far. I really appreciate your tone. Terms like “replacement level” and “fine” are so good at tamping down FOMO.

she is coming up in the spotlights, might pick her up
Can you give a namkra deck?
Appreciate the format of differentiating between “strong” but “replaceable.”

Great review. Liked how you did the bottom tier and how you did the tech category. Keep up the great job
This is SUCH a well-organized breakdown of the current state of Series 4/5. Thank you!
This is some of the best, most actionable content for players looking to become more engaged. Keep up the great work.

Love the format of this video, both direct and detailed without bullshit. Very nicely done.

Yeah, gonna just echo what i see a lot of comments jeff and say i like the way you decided to do this with the tiers. Always so informative, common jeff W
Congrats, Jeff! This format is awesome, on point, best information any snap player can have
Great video Jeff, always appreciate the extra bit of insight you give cards.
Just what I needed, as I skipped a month recently and have been pondering which missing card to spend my tokens on (probably going for Thena, as Sage, Cannonball & USAgent are coming up in Caches soon).
I don't have Kitty Pryde and that one card pretty much prevents me from playing Bounce or Angela/Bishop/Kate decks.
Feels bad. Been missing out on Thena and feel the same
Once again, this format for evaluating cards is great!
Great video, currently building tokens for Loki, but he will be soon in spotlight caches so i might go for Gilgamesh or Thena

@@HooglandiaSnapa shame, but understandable. keep up the great work :)
you know we are long overdue a series drop, when even jeff doesn't have time to talk about all the bad series 4/5 cards there are
As always a very thorough video thank you for your video and congrats on your conquerers win!!
No feedback on the format, but here's a like and comment so that Al Gorithm blesses your views :D

Putting something desirable to watch at the end is good TH-cam formatting. Rewards / punishes full video consumption or not.
"Kang tier: these are all dooky." I own a higher percentage of the Kang tier than any other tier 😢
To be fair that tier is pretty small.
I waas just recently wondering about when you would release such a video!
Finally pulled the trigger on mockingbird for 4/4 keys this week. Just couldnt pass with all the hype thats surrounded her since i came back to the game. Heres hoping i find her as fun/useful as ive heard 🤞 but hey! A new card is a new card
Excellent format, Jeff.
Loved the video. This was a great way to rate all the cards
A card’s placement in upcoming spotlight caches will influence what I’m targeting with tokens. Having that information in the video would be helpful (eg if a card has a date, placing it underneath the card image) and would save me having to correlate dates on my own
This video will be relevant longer than the spotlight info will be. Don't want people referencing bad data after the fact.
My thinking was based on your previous video being two months ago, and we have spotlight datamines through end of October.
Felt like enough buffer as long as the datamine dates felt solid, but if they don’t I understand the thinking.
Was gonna ask bout Nico Minoru (cuz pinned on my shop) but watching till the end always works out haha, ty for the informy video!
Thanks for the posting. I always forget about Namora until I find her on ladder and invariably have to retreat. Probably dropping my next 6k on her.
Phastos is a card that looks really good on paper, that effect seems like it would be stupid good. But it just never seems to have the hit that its text would indicate.
This reminded me that my first ever series 5 card was Kang which I got from the random card when it was still spotlight caches we had 😢😂
Engagement goes here! Jeff’s got the best explained and most reasonable snap content anywhere
Namora wants Nocturne as a mover pretty badly yeah.
I'm sort of surprised to see Phastos in the Kang Tier, I always feel at least a little bit threatened when my opponent plays a Phastos on curve. That may be because I don't own him and still don't fully understand how he works though.

Poor cannonball, used to be broken
Posts for the algorithm gods!
I would love to have like a summary page or board at the end of the video, so people could just pause and digest the list at their own pace. But great video overall.
Unfortunately that means people skip the video and just look at the summary.
I am almost collection complete and I still watched it twice ❤
Anyway to include the full tier chart (like the one in the thumbnail) near the end of the vid? Maybe during the wrap up? I personally like seeing all the information all at once.
Unfortunately a summary page like that means people don't watch the content and just skip to the end.
@@HooglandiaSnapah I see. Never thought of that. Keep up the good work
I'll echo the many comments and say I really enjoyed this format. Definitely prefer this to an A-F scale.

The brief window she was good there Kitty Pride wasn't playable. Post Thena release I don't expect that to happen again.
You can see the exact moment his (my?) heart breaks putting zabu in the kang tier
Great video, thank you!
27 seconds ago i'm not terminally online or anything.
Wait...when did the -2 power nerf come in for hela? Totally missed that one!
Few patches back at this point.
I appreciate the trolling in the thumbnail. 👍
Also, thank you very much, from us F2P players.
It is absolutely sinister to put Bob and Kang in the A+ spot in the card as a “Gotcha!” To those not bothering to watch the video lmao
Great video
I was actually going to ask if there was a new version of this coming.
good stuff as always
Nocturne was absolutely the best 6000 tokens I ever spent, I love turning off Limbo 😂
Should i buy sage or thena for my tokens?
Love the thumbnail trolling.
I tried to get nico the other week with 2 keys but failed. I do have nocturne pinned👌 4600tokens away though 😅
I already have all the cards I want already... but thanks for the video, Jeff. I hope f2p players appreciate it
The only 4 I'm missing are bottom tier cards so that's nice

Iron Lad is specifically mentioned in this video.
More engagement for the engagement gods
Great job as akways!
Just spent 6k on nocturne yesterday
Glad i was right to do so
Shout out to Move from the September season!
I came back after a year or so and can't believe what they did to My boy kingpin 😢😢
I guess after the nerf, Nocturne is still a super worth purchase, right?
I think she is still very good yes.
Nocturne has been nerfed, does still holds up well? O a Red Guardian is Better?
Nocturne is still very good yes.
@@HooglandiaSnap thank You, keep up the great content!
Is Thena worth it if you don't have Hope or a bunch of good cards?
Think she needs Kitty at a minimum.
Namora should get the ACTIVATE ability instead of on reveal.
that makes her significantly worse.

Bro just bought Caiera for 6k cuz i really wanted to play zoo to its fullest. Feel kinda bad now
Suprised Gilgamesh is so high up as I rarely see him.
What's the best argument for supergiant not being Kang tier? Other than not being as bad as kang himself

Did I miss Jeff talking about Pixie?
Yes.
Kang tier Jean and Phastos make me sad because I like what they are, but they are so bad :(.
Surprised Hydra-Bob isn't Kang tier.
TBH Bob is probably the best Marvel SNAP I'd never recommend anyone buy.

None of the good performing PF lists play Hercules. He also got a lot worse in that deck when they changed how cards move/stage.
I miss Blob and Alioth being the best cards :(
