The problem with ancient gear is that it is a go second deck. This means anyone who wants to play it has to justify not just playing tenpai instead (not anymore deck is dead)
Especially Ancient Gear only topped once, with Tenpai out of the picture I think they could still do really well since nobody respects them Raidraptors also could be topping a bit more, I rarely if ever see it around anymore tbh

They literally topped tournaments after the new supports
