    Another great video. one thing i have not seen you demonstrate is a more realistic work flow scenario where you have to, say, output 5 renderings with 3 different model sets (of similar models) with different staging and lighting. I find this kind of workflow complications with linking properties and managing mappings of materials where i struggle more than adjusting materials. If you could show how you stay organized in these kinds of situations, that would be super helpful and something people don't talk about since it's a little less 'sexy' maybe
    Also, I find colour to number interface is always tricky to understand. Couldn't it be more like a photoshop curve adjustment UI element? I can never wrap my head around TO this, from that...at least the preview helps.
    Anyways, good stuff

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Noted, thanks for taking time to explain specifically what you're referring to. I'm working on an upcoming course that'll probably incorporate all of this.

    How is your material separate in two differents parts? The face and the side of the plywood?

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because when I imported the model, the surface on the edge of the wood was a different color. KeyShot separates different colors on the model at time of import.

  • @genissala3561

    Hi Will, I saw in your devices that you are using an ultrawide monitor. 34". This ultrawide monitor works well with a 3D software? Like Creo, Solidworks and so on. I was imaging all the menus stretched...

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! It works just fine. Never had issues. It's the operating system that handles display scaling and your graphics card, not the monitor itself. If you have issues with these items, it's a setting you should be able to change in your OS or GPU.

    • @WillGibbons

    I actually did UV unwrap the seatpan and viewed the results side by side. I can confirm that UV unwrapping made no perceptible difference. And I'm quite particular.

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This may be due to how the surface was modeled. Sometimes the ideal UVs are created in the CAD surface. But often times you will find this isn't the case. That's when UV unwrap is needed.

    Hey guys, I use rhino for my models, does anyone how can I separate the c pane from the form without exploding the model or do should I create a planar view for the same and then layer it on top of the model?

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm a bit confused about the question, but if you apply different colors on each body/part before importing into KeyShot, they will be seen as separate bodies. Hopefully this helps.

    • @rohanzaware1805
      @rohanzaware1805 4 ปีที่แล้ว
