This place was full of life even in 2016! Not that long ago! It's sad! This place was like a mini smithaven in the 90s

Seems like all these older looking malls/shopping centers are closing down for good and they are making newer ones. The character and feel of these older shopping malls are dying away slowly and sadly

Hi guys, I live near the small they took it down. There will be a food court and fun fact there’s gonna be a Whole Foods which is gonna be the main store so I hope that helps. I’m very excited for what comes this way.

Yeah I heard they are gonna put a whole new shopping center here. Sucks cause I'm more of a nostalgic guy and hate seeing these older places closed/demolished

Sun vet Mall the last time I went in there when there was a collectible store in 2022.
The only place that are available are citi Bank & Liquor store Currently.

Pretty sure those two businesses will be leaving in the near future, it's planned that a new shopping center will be coming here

@@TimurD1905 Since Citibank payed for those new teller machines, the Citibank is actually supposed to stay, if I'm recalling what the guys in the Closeouts store said to me and my Dad. I guess if that's true, it'll be the one part of the mall that will survive into the new strip mall.

I was in Kentucky Oaks Mall , Paducah Kentucky
I was impressed, 12 restaurants in the food court, 75% of available shops open with quality names.
Then you have West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau Missouri and that mall is a ghost town.

    • @TimurD1905

It's mostly the older shopping malls and centers that are dying, which is pretty sad. A nostalgia guy like me loves those type of places lol

I grew up going to this mall back in the late 70s as a teenager. They had the best pizza Parlor there that might’ve been “Aegean” pizza. right across from Pathmark as you went down further there were all sorts of stores you could go to the stationary store. There was a head shop. There was some clothes stores you could go to a record store there also I’m so sad seeing this ..

I grew up going to this mall as a child. Many of the shots you got were in the former mall area, which is pretty shocking that this was once a mall. Chase is the only business left currently. The mall is gonna become a wholefoods.

So sad how pretty soon all of our memories from the 1990s and 2000s will be gone. No. Ore malls. Ames or value city type places. So sad. Thank God for pictures. But they will always be missed forever. Holidays tome is empty with them all. Doesn't and won't ever be the same

I drive past this every morning.. it’s sad to see it go and I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did..the pathmark was great and blockbuster video and as a kid consumers catalog store and pancake cottage and that damned hobby store..
You heard wrong ., Pathmark wasn’t struggling because of stop and shop, the whole corporation was struggling, all pathmarks vanished .. supposedly it’s going to be a Whole Foods and outdoor shopping or something unappealing instead of something unique
