Glad to see Peter Mazza playing on here and doing well. NO ONE plays harmony quite like Peter Mazza, he's an NYC treasure. I close my eyes and hear Stan Kenton ala Bill Holman's arrangements. I hear 20th century classical composer complexity and nuance ala Oliver Messiaen. Great playing by all the musicians all around, but I wanted to shout out Peter--as a fellow Nu Yorkah (now living on the West Coast).
Love this series of collaborations you’ve been doing, it’s put me on some amazing guitarists and most of all just some amazing arrangements. I literally have gone back to that first autumn leaves Collab like over 100 times. Would love to see you do this style of vid with another standard. Thanks for all the amazing content!
@@ChaseMaddox of course dude! your doing a huge service to jazz guitar IMO and helping a lot of ppl get inspired, including myself. very much looking forward to seeing the continuation of these collabs!
great technique all of them however, i prefer the last guy as you can actually listen and enjoy the song. I'm a guitarist myself and sometimes its nice just to hear the tune it self played with a bit of class, for the lack of a better word. I mean just because you can do a lot, do you always have to??? no disrespect meant whatsoever, they are all great, just where is the song????
Drop a comment below in support and appreciation of these amazing guitarists! 🙌
So honored to be a part of these absolutely mesmerizing group of six-stringers. I am so inspired! Thank you Chase for doing this.
An honor to be here amongst all these beastly musicians! Lovely playing by all!
You were wonderful Brandon. Love the tone 🎸❣️

An honor to have you! And for those that don’t know, Brandon also played the piano accompaniment for his recording 🔥
you made that guitar sing, loved it!

Love this, Chase! Also, laughing at the no-context-cat in the intro

Simplicity does it. Too much verbosity, which takes a way from the beauty of the song.
