Okay, that was kinda funny. I was just watching your video about this bike, and I was just like "Oh, I should go check out other videos about this bike!" Then I scroll down the slightest bit, and there you are with your comment, like wow!
Hi, I've got this bike and have ridden bikes for over 30 years and I love it. You can ride it slow, fast, in the twisties and in town with no problems, I've not taken it off road but I recon fire roads would be no problem.
Best review I've seen on this bike. I've seen others by this gentleman and he's a great motorcycling experience interpreter. I bought a wr250r based on his comparison and this Duc just became a stronger contender, based, finally, on a usable review.
Great and totally true review, just rode this bike 2 days ago and it's freaking amazing, not too heavy, amazing torque, it's for sure a well-made motorcycle, italians nailed it !
I never understand why these reviewers have to drive this bike like its a damn sport bike! Come on guys it's a naked, basic bike to be driven like a conventional bike - sit back, take in the sights and putt along those twisties. It's not a racer so drive it like it was meant to be. Respect it bro.
No I have not heard of the term as I wasn't even born in 1962 so I didn't know the true purpose of the bike back then. I also don't drive wrecklessly and don't push myself beyond my limits or the limits of the bike. I drive the speed limit, don't take risks and I guess I'm just boring to all you racers out there.
I am seeing a lot of hate around the internet for the Scrambler, but it is really what the Monster was before it went more upmarket. I think this seems like a great motorcycle.
I'm not sure how I feel about this video. Complaints on the review itself: - you like the bottom end torque but think the throttle response is abrupt? They go hand in hand... it feels torquey BECAUSE the throttle response is abrupt. - you were surprised that it stopped well because it "only" had one Brembo large diameter rotor and radial mounted caliper? Dual disks don't provide more stopping power, they provide more heat dissipation. The brakes on that bike should be fantastic. - what does it mean that tires are squooshy feeling? They need air? Squooshy isn't really a handling characteristic I've ever heard of for tires But despite my confusion on the above points, overall I really liked the review and your natural delivery. Just tie your shoes, man.
I thought the Squishy comment was coming from the feel a knobby-like tire would exhibit. Less contact than a more sport oriented tire, and all the space between "knobs" would allow them to squirm a bit.
fucking what ? of coarse twin disc's provide more stopping power, its a simple matter of leverage you don't need to squeeze the lever as hard to produce the same stopping power.
dave ninga No, I see you don't quite understand the principles of friction. Leverage has nothing to do with it, your hand is the only force entering the system in either case, the only other relevant variable is the coefficient of friction (pad material). Dual discs just provide longer wear for grabbier pads and better heat dissipation for repeated / high load stops.
Wow, I LIKE!!! To bad I just got a new FZ07 back in September or I'd be all over this thing in a heart beat! Will have to check it out in a couple years if I decide to trade in my old cruiser.
Great review. Adam cleans up well :) What a contrast from the early days. I love the Triumph Scrambler but geese.. this weighs a whole 100 lbs less. Kind of a no brainer.
Yeah, I thought that the rolled up jeans looked a bit iffy. Not a bad review, though: Clear, concise and informative... Thanks for posting. PS: Think the Triumph's got a bit more class.
Nice review. I never thought I' d be so infatuated with a Ducati-they're doing good things as far as accessibility under the Audi banner. What kind of shoes are those?
Great review. Great bike. Though as others have commented elsewhere, what about service intervals and is this air cooled engine a revised version of the unreliable units that had to be replaced by better water cooled ones? It's still $$$ I am going to bet. Also, please note that the video starts with "FIRTS RIDE"...whatever that means! ;)
I'm really excited about this bike, I may purchase one next year. The throttle thing is really unfortunate, Triumph had the same problems due to secondary air injection on their scrambler (and bonneville....and thruxton..) and IMHO there's no excuse to release a bike like that to the public, that should definitely be ironed out, it's a mass produced motorcycle, not a DIY fuel injection project. Not sure why so it's not uncommon for big motorcycle companies to suck at low speed fuel delivery with EFI - it's really not rocket science, and if it's a fbw there's no excuse at all....and I'm guessing by the reviewer saying "it's a little bit" it really means "it's terrible." I mean a scrambler accels around town, if it sucks at low speed fueling then it's not that great around town where you do a lot of it. Anyway, still looking forward to this bike, a lot.
Looks like a fun little bike although i dont really like the instrument panel BUT WHERE THE HELL DO YOU FIND SUCH A NICE WEATHER!!! Seriously here in Greece it's been raining and shit for about 45 days straight! Not that it stops me from riding of course but DAMN!!!
Thinking of getting this bike as my very first one. Haven't seen one in person yet, my concern is it seems small. I'm about 6'2'', would that be too tall for this bike?
Had the 350 in 66 while in the Army. This is the business, expect to see dozens of very happy owners. $8500? no more like $8995 at first. Wait a year. Or for the FJ 09
That's a pretty bike for sure, and look like a ton of fun! You're a brave man riding like that in skinny jeans and converse though.... be safe brother.
+TinPinFTW Acually, he has Dainese shoes I have similar. It is proper safe gear even if it looks like it is not. I am sure he is also wearing bike jeans, nothing to compare with regular jeans or shoes.
+vojta46 if they don't support the ankle I don't consider them riding boots. Already been down that painful road once. I also rock riding jeans, and if the ones he's wearing are I'd be surprised.
the moustache suits the scrambler wear it proud man, nice to see the scrambler to me its kinda like the monster the guys never wanted to own because its too girly. I think it would be a fun bike
You're getting better. I only counted 15 "Really"s in this video. Although, I did catch a rapid-fire triple-Really at one point in there. *sigh*. How about trying some new words like VERY or EXTREMELY? It might even help your whole new Hipster/Kip(NapoleanD) look a little. Probably roll up those pant legs up a bit more. Anyway, I really really really really enjoyed this video and think the bike is decent. Though, I'd find it hard buying one of these over a Triumph.
It's hard too take this guy seriously when he is wearing tennis or basketball shoes for this expert ride & opinion. I honestly can not understand why someone would show such disregard for safety and professionalism, Totally undermining their personal opinion. This guy is obviously not an expert and his opinion is definitely not of an expert. He needs someone too show him the basics in safety & professionalism before he hurts himself.
1) have you ever seen Waheed riding a sport bike on a track? No, so don't judge. 2) those are Dainese CE certified boots for motorcycle riding and he's wearing a pair ok Kevlar jeans. Don't hate it you don't know.
Roberto S. I don't care what kind of shoes they are. Won't do him any good in a wreck when they come of because he's too lazy to tie the laces. Poor form IMHO.
Worry about yourself. What someone wears says absolutely nothing about their level of expertise or their skill level. It's simply the risks they are willing to take with their own safety. Some people are willing to jump out of a plane, some aren't, some enjoy mountain climbing, there are tight rope walkers who use a net and some who don't. The risks you are willing to take have no bearing on anything but your own personal safety. You may not be one of these people, but I'm always amazed at how some will criticize people who don't wear "gear" thereby taking unnecessary risks, yet they have no problem riding like wannabe douche bags on public streets risking other peoples safety! I think some people are just missing their hall monitor job from their school days. It's a free country.
So much of what I’ve read about this bike is just ad copy. I’d like to know how it compares to a Monster 800 (or even a MTS 620). I would be a lot more enthusiastic about this bike if Ducati still made the Sport Classics. As it is, it obviously is hitting the same target market as the Bonnie Scrambler, a pretty low bar IMHO.
Must have one!
Which one would you must have? Personally I would go for the classic.
Seriously!! After being pithily disappointed by the Harley Street 750 (overpriced piece of shit, without ABS)
This is THE STREET BIKE to buy!
***** really
bobby SHAKES
don't think so?
Okay, that was kinda funny. I was just watching your video about this bike, and I was just like "Oh, I should go check out other videos about this bike!" Then I scroll down the slightest bit, and there you are with your comment, like wow!
Hi,
I've got this bike and have ridden bikes for over 30 years and I love it. You can ride it slow, fast, in the twisties and in town with no problems, I've not taken it off road but I recon fire roads would be no problem.
This bike WILL be my first motorcycle!
How'd that go?
+Juantonsoup1215 Yeah, tell us youe exp ?! :)
Did you bought it??
Was it?
Dumb choice for inexperienced riders, must've had a death wish
Best review I've seen on this bike. I've seen others by this gentleman and he's a great motorcycling experience interpreter. I bought a wr250r based on his comparison and this Duc just became a stronger contender, based, finally, on a usable review.
Great and totally true review, just rode this bike 2 days ago and it's freaking amazing, not too heavy, amazing torque, it's for sure a well-made motorcycle, italians nailed it !
One of best motorcycle videos ever watched.
That bike is class....has a cool 80's vibe. I hope to buy one next year:)
Dude you make that bike look like so much fun!
That is one of the best sounding stock exhaust notes I have heard in a while.
saw it last week, absolutely loved the flat green edition, it's so retro
All the pictures and videos I saw about this bike does not do it any justice, you MUST see these bikes in person - they're amazing!! All 4 of them.
I already ordered one, and I really love it.
I never understand why these reviewers have to drive this bike like its a damn sport bike! Come on guys it's a naked, basic bike to be driven like a conventional bike - sit back, take in the sights and putt along those twisties. It's not a racer so drive it like it was meant to be. Respect it bro.
Uhh, it's a "scrambler" sounds like you have not heard of the term
loose yourself, its a scrambler
No I have not heard of the term as I wasn't even born in 1962 so I didn't know the true purpose of the bike back then. I also don't drive wrecklessly and don't push myself beyond my limits or the limits of the bike. I drive the speed limit, don't take risks and I guess I'm just boring to all you racers out there.
Can't tell if you mad or what, buy a vespa lol
No not upset. Just making fun.
I sat on one (classic version I think), with spoke wheels and plaid seat). The bike is sexy as hell and fits my 6' frame perfect.
Gorgeous bike. Another winner from Ducati it seems.
I am seeing a lot of hate around the internet for the Scrambler, but it is really what the Monster was before it went more upmarket. I think this seems like a great motorcycle.
Sounds a lot like my Buell XB9SX.... love air-cooled twins with modern chassis.. you gotta own one to understand it.
I like that they made it an air cooled motor. Really helps with that old style look and feel
adam - super vid man, best reviews out there. :)
One of the coolest bikes out there!
Can't wait till you guys can get the new 2015 Multistrada to test.
I'm not sure how I feel about this video. Complaints on the review itself:

This guy's reviews are weird. He says alot, but at the same time not much.
oh please stop whining and ride one!
I thought the Squishy comment was coming from the feel a knobby-like tire would exhibit. Less contact than a more sport oriented tire, and all the space between "knobs" would allow them to squirm a bit.

Let this guy do all reviews
im so excited to get this bike i cant friggin wait
I admit Ducati, MV Agusta, Aprillia, Piaggio, Cagiva, Benelli etc. Italian people knows how to make a beautiful bikes!
To me, it seems like a fucking amazing advert.. If Ducati prep'd an advert this they'd be onto a winner
this is the first bike ive gotten a crush on
Hi Adam...Superb review.....will it be launched in India ??
saw one of these last night. very nice bike
Wow, I LIKE!!! To bad I just got a new FZ07 back in September or I'd be all over this thing in a heart beat! Will have to check it out in a couple years if I decide to trade in my old cruiser.
FZ07 isn't that bad, I have a sv650. I have never liked cruisers but the scramber seems like an awesome mix of standard/cruiser/enduro
pleased to see some good riding here.. anyway awesome desmo sound from the "L" twin
already know one of my future bank transactions
Just invented a new drinking game: Have a beer/shot every time he says "like"
Great review. Adam cleans up well :) What a contrast from the early days. I love the Triumph Scrambler but geese.. this weighs a whole 100 lbs less. Kind of a no brainer.
A great review thanks, but whats with the Doo and lip caterpillar.
finally a good review!
anyone else notice it says that this is a "firts ride?" in the beginning of the video-
still great review! want one.
Is this a good first bike? I'm guessing I should stick to a standard and this one is the best looking so far that I've seen
Very cool looking, like all Ducatis.
what's that music ? so awesome.
Yeah, I thought that the rolled up jeans looked a bit iffy. Not a bad review, though: Clear, concise and informative... Thanks for posting. PS: Think the Triumph's got a bit more class.
Good, informative review.
Nice review. I never thought I' d be so infatuated with a Ducati-they're doing good things as far as accessibility under the Audi banner.
What kind of shoes are those?
I want to know what shoes those are, those are clean!
I love it :D preffer the classic one, but I love it! how much would it cost to insure this motorcycle ?
not much..
Great review. Great bike. Though as others have commented elsewhere, what about service intervals and is this air cooled engine a revised version of the unreliable units that had to be replaced by better water cooled ones? It's still $$$ I am going to bet. Also, please note that the video starts with "FIRTS RIDE"...whatever that means! ;)
great video
Do you ever take it off any sweet jumps?
he got like 2 feet of air that time
Tobias Hermansson LMFAO!! 😂😂
here in the Philippines they are selling the ICON for P550,000.00 or 12,222 USD. We are so near Thailand. I don't get it.
Anyone notice at the beginning it says FIRTS ride not FIRST ride :P.
thats the perfect mustache for that bike
I'm really excited about this bike, I may purchase one next year. Hi, is that snatchy throttle response corrected or is it still the same?
Great motorcycle!
All I want for Christmas.....
Thinking of getting this bike as my very first one. Haven't seen one in person yet, my concern is it seems small. I'm about 6'2'', would that be too tall for this bike?
Is this a good bike for a beginner? I want to get this or the Ducati Monster 696.
Adam - would you recommend the FZ-07 or the Scrambler as the best FUN city bike?
Bela moto, vídeo muito bem feito. Parabéns.

Did anyone notice the typo at the 3 second mark? Firts ride.
Had the 350 in 66 while in the Army. This is the business, expect to see dozens of very happy owners. $8500? no more like $8995 at first. Wait a year. Or for the FJ 09
What's the model of your gloves?
Are there any bikes out there similar to the scrambler but cheaper?
Look for The Motto Guzzi V7

Is there an alternative to the scrambler?
What shoes are you wearing?

Fuck Adam aged like 30 years since I last seen him.
Nice review and nice riding skills. Get some proper gear on though!

You're just jealous cause he's been chatting online with babes ALL day.
This guy can riiiiiiide!

great video

He is wearing Dainese Street Biker D-WP shoes. They have protection for motorcycling riding while looking like street shoes.
1) have you ever seen Waheed riding a sport bike on a track? No, so don't judge.

is this bike good for the entry level biker?
