    I completely agree with you on the bibs for top level racers . That in mind the majority of riders are play riders and guys who race at a local level and for people in that level of ridding tubliss is a great option with correct tire choices and infinitely adjustable tire pressure the system can be very reliable. Most people that have problems with it have never read the instructions and use for footlong Tire irons.

      We 100% Agree.... In our experience, tubliss can provide the best traction. But we can't risk failure.

    Interesting product. I just wanted to say I miss your podcasts! Subscribed! Actually using my 1st set of mousses; Nitro platinum in front & plush in rear. Started a month ago. I will keep this in mind for customization. Best of luck to you.

    How soft will it be, as mousse wears ? Oh and much faster will it wear with all those bits drilled out ?? Drilling mouses is old news, many have stopped due to mousse not lasting long, and falling apart !!

      Also the tyre will not shit for handling after a few rides and the moose softens up, will feel like your tyre is coming off the bead

    Dam! Awesome, I've run tubliss since they came out, up here in the greasy PNW/Canada, never had a problem, but mainly because there was no easy way to get a mousse to feel like 4lbs in the rear, I might have to try this system, nice work!!

    • @InsideEnduro
      @InsideEnduro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! Tubliss provides great traction too, especially in your terrain, but you can't go wrong with the bibs. Give our bib drill a try and let us know your results.

    Awesome. If you were to save all the chunks you remove, could you pop those back in once the mousse wears out to get longer life?

    • @InsideEnduro
      @InsideEnduro  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is a great idea. We have all of the chunks saved, and might have to give that a try!

    • @fosterkatchen7010
      @fosterkatchen7010 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally the right idea man! I do this with all of my mousses and you can have a mousse that feels like 4 pounds or one that feels like 12 pounds. Works really good for racing when you don’t want to fun a brand new mousse on race weekend. Just cut a chunk out of an old one to get some extra cushion. Has worked great for me with no failure yet

    I used a 1/2" spade bit and drilled 35 straight through and 35 from both sides on a 45 degree angle down through the mousse. For a total of 105 smaller holes. It was night and day better than a bunch of large holes. Between the large holes the mouse characteristics are very much the same only where the large holes are the mousse is very soft but as soon as the hole is compressed the dynamics are the same again. Just my opinion with testing. Did it in an hour.

    Ingenious design! How long do they last compared to non-drilled? Half?

    • @InsideEnduro
      @InsideEnduro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Impressively well, surprisingly. It’s not so much the holes as it is that the mousse is softer which puts more stress on the tire sidewall which breaks down quicker. If tire is changed fairly frequently and the mousse is cleaned off and new tire is well lubed they can go and go. I still have mousses that are a year or two old and we are still using them depending on what type of terrain and tire size we are using.🔥✊🏼

    is this soft mousse or medium ?

    • @InsideEnduro
      @InsideEnduro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is for a hard enduro setup. Very soft!

    Can you drill a front mousse? I have a nitro mousse that is way too hard and want to soften it up

    Why not just run the nitromousse or tubliss?

    • @InsideEnduro
      @InsideEnduro  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This applies to the nitromousse too - we prefer to customize the mousse to our liking! We also have found these to work better than the tubliss setups. Thanks for watching!
