They didn't put the best songs at the end of albums because the sound quality is worse at the end of vinyl records. Magical Mystery Tour was originally released as a double ep with only six songs. They filled the rest of the cd with some singles that weren't on any album originally. The other singles are on the two Past Masters cd's.
